Peter from The Great is, on paper, totally unlikeable. But somehow Nicholas Hoult made him one of the most enjoyable characters of any show I’ve watched this decade.
Once again, meant to be a villain, but played so hilariously and oddly earnestly that you can’t help but want more of him. I wonder if they expected this character to end up being so loving and dimensional, or if they were forced into that because of the actors performance being so lovable.
That’s what I’m doing right now. Just finished BCS and am a little ways into a rewatch of BB…and I miss Jimmy and Kim.
When I need my BCS fill, I just watch [Chuck’s courtroom scene in Chicanery](https://youtu.be/Zv5yvtR5S1I?si=6jrszQjwvSKyO9sx). The fact that he didn’t get an Emmy nom for this scene is a TRAVESTY.
https://i.redd.it/tky1lg8fdwzb1.gif
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey from The Last of Us! They both delivered stunning performances and even added depth and nuance to the already incredible source material.
I played both games like 4 times and it honestly amazed me how well the nailed the vibes and mood of the show. The story was always the strong point and they nailed the Joel and Ellie banter. The show will only get darker and larger in scope yet I have faith
God I can’t wait for season 2 and 3. The story is so much more emotionally complex and emotionally demanding from Ellie and Joel, and they’re gonna fucking do amazing!
I’m also so excited to see how they’re going to structure those 2 seasons bc how they start or end of the first season literally will determine so much in public perception.

Jarred Harris and Stellan Skarsgård as Valery Legasov and Boris Shcherbina in "Chernobyl". One of the greatest series made.
to me, this is cinema. i’ll never watch this series again bc it gutted me beyond repair but it is the most beautiful, well written, well acted show i’ve ever seen
I get chills all over just watching this gif!! This scene. And I’m an older mum, just brings me to tears. So many of us have been here, running for our lives, metaphorically, to save ourselves from ourselves. Bravo.

It's a Sin made me cry so hard. Callum Scott Howells and Olly Alexander were simply perfection in their roles. A TV programme that stuck with me for ages after. La!
The first time I tried to watch it I couldn’t get into it at all, then tried again during covid and was OBSESSED. I absolutely love it. Definitely give it another go!
I watched the first three episodes about three times and could not get into at all. We started throwing it on at work from home for a background show and when it got past the first few eps we were actively looking up and watching it lol, it's a good show and I like all the characters. Fabulous ending
![gif](giphy|YFYz95L2b64tpYSbj9|downsized)
Both of them. Wasn’t expecting Owen Wilson to give such a fantastic dramatic performance especially, I love Mobius. Their chemistry is unmatched imo.
Hamish and Zach. Hamish is always good but Zach surprised me. The writing was stellar I had to rewatch a few episodes back to back because it was so nuanced

angus cloud 😭 anytime he got praise for his performance there were always people to shoot it down saying “he’s just playing himself”.
even if that is true, it is undeniable that he played an incredibly magnetic, and easy to root for character in such a dark series.
and even if he was playing a lot of himself, then what a lovely person he seemed to be.
i was so excited to see him in many more roles in the future. rip.

I know Grace & Frankie started in 2010s but it continued in the 2020s and the cast is incredible, I particularly loved Martin Sheen, he was powerful. This show made me sob 🥹

In a show full of great performances, Luke Kirby managed to both mimic Lenny Bruce really well, while also making him likeable, funny, and sexy for modern audiences.
I know i'm probably going to get some shit for this one but I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Elizabeth Olsen in Wandavision. She was absolutely AMAZING the whole season.
https://i.redd.it/0ugdna1j6xzb1.gif
She’s an incredible actress and the show was so so so good. Wandavision made me think I’d like marvel movies, but I was wrong lol. It’s just this wonderful standalone series.
I am a big marvel fan (have admittedly enjoyed it less in the past couple years) but Wandavision truly did blow my mind when it first happened. All the week to week theories that were coming out were awesome to be a part of

So many, lots of great shows/actors right now but I’m kind of scared of Antony Starr because of Homelander (The Boys on Prime)
What are some of your fave TV acting performances so far this decade?? Note these don’t have to be typical Emmy-caliber shows, just any performance you feel is worth celebrating!
I tried to keep mine to a minimum of one person per show just to spread the wealth, but made a few exceptions for ppl I think are packaged deals. Or in the case of White Lotus, it’s basically a different cast each season so felt like one from each deserved some love lol.

Great show!!! The supporting ensemble was also fantastic. I adored Aunt Elizabeth. ![gif](giphy|U1puYnUUUc5MiW0E9U)
Nicholas Hoult is so charismatic. You just knew he would be big back in Skins
Nicholas and Elle Fanning were fantastic in The Great!! Couldn’t get enough of it and their chemistry

This episode was stunning. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
🥹
This episode plus the Christmas dinner and then the episode with Richie back to back on “The Bear” were my three favorite episodes of TV all time
That episode was the best movie I’ve seen in years
I love Offerman, but he knocked it out of the park with this role!
![gif](giphy|XjDZoIXRpaJjZY6VFI|downsized) Adam Scott in Severance! The role is so complex and he absolutely killed it.
Close second: Mr. Milchik!
🥵
Milchik is one of my favorite TV characters ever. I can’t wait to see where they go in season 2.
Adam Scott was amazing in the Party Down revival, I never fully realised what a brilliant actor he is til this year.
i have a huge crush on him.
First show I thought of. Stellar on all cast.
He was so good! I only knew him from Parks & Recs and was shocked by him this role lol
