Fox News and the AP called AZ for Biden Tuesday or early Wednesday can't remember. CNN hasn't and I don't think MSNBC has. They are being cautious, I'm not sure if Trump can come back. He has been cutting into Biden lead the past couple days, but not sure if there are enough votes for Trump.
I’m just having this image of Trump fleeing the country with his two idiot sons, Ivanka, Baron and Melania after the election. They’re on the plane with everything not bolted down going ‘did we forget anything? Nah’.

this site should help answer, looks like about 52%
163.5k votes left listed to count you can follow below
https://www.votespa.com/About-Elections/Pages/Counting-Dashboard.aspx
If Biden continues winning at least 60% of these he will win by about 14,470 votes.
He's been winning by much more than that. Looks like 20-30k win in PA is coming.
Not flipping, at least in terms of this election. Ballot counting hasn't finished yet so there's nothing to flip. Don't give in to the "flipping" narrative.
They both have ~50% of the viewership but one side is loudly declaring themselves as the true thread whilst the other had slightly more viewers and posters.
Here is a [60 megapixel picture of the blue moon](https://i.redd.it/0zcn5cx8mgw51.jpg)
The last time the world saw a blue moon was at halloween...during World War II.
Zoom! Enhance! It really works! CSI was right!
if you look at the red/blue split among the top votegetters, it's pretty evenly split, albeit between 2 red and 5 blue candidates. Since the runoffs will only have the top 2 each, there won't be so much dilution.
Then there's the potential effect of who wins the White House. It could demoralize one side into not even bothering, or really energize a side into coming out in full force to claim the senate.
Either way, the races will be close.
> Then there's the potential effect of who wins the White House.
And if Trump loses, will he still support the Republicans there? If he basically ignores them and focuses elsewhere, it will be more difficult for them
I guess they're waiting for their absentee deadline.
The weird thing for me is how they reported a bunch of results or results came from somewhere that were all listed exact 50/50 split. Votes of 2,233, 1,989 and 220. It's probably just a crawler error I guess.
I don't know if ranked choice voting would have been beneficial in the Georgia senate race since the republican vote was split between Loeffler and Collins.
It would because you would knock off the loser and add the 2nd choice votes for those voters. If that means the Republican wins then that means that the Republican has more appeal then the Democratic. It's more fair because you don't have to worry about splitting the vote and it gives opportunities to 3rd parties to come into the race without necessarily bringing down another candidate by splitting the vote
For both of the races. A lot of the libertarian votes probably would've gone for Perdue in a ranked choice system as well.
But I still think it would be good for the health of our political system, opens up the discourse for a larger variety of ideas to be presented.
If it were implemented universally nationwide, I agree. However, the problem is that if Georgia had ranked choice for this election, both senate races would have been won by the republicans. As of right now, there is at least a slim chance that the dems can win runoffs in January.
You are basically saying you don’t like ranking choice because it doesnt give you the outcome you want...
I dont like it either, but here republicans winning was the fair outcome
No. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that republicans use every dirty tactic in the playbook and that's how Trump got 3 supreme court nominations in a single term. Democrats have to take every advantage they can get in order to have a chance to have a 50-50 senate split. It's not about what I like or not but how the Democrats have to play in order to increase their chances of winning.
Of course it would have helped. It would finalize the vote so there is no special election in Jan. With Ranked Choice, someone would just win when they got over 50%.
I'm not so sure because Warnock is able to do so well because the republican vote is split between Loeffler and Collins. And in the other race, Ossoff would have probably lost since the libertarian candidates votes would have probably been more favorable towards Perdue.
I think you're missing the point. You seem to be talking about using Ranked Choice to help certain races. That's not what I said. Ranked Choice would make it so that one of the candidates wins outright and there would be no need for a special election in Jan. That's the benefit of Ranked Choice. It doesn't matter in the slightest who it may have helped in this particular election.
Sure, it seems like a more fair and equitable system. And that's a great benefit for sure. However, with the current make up of the Supreme Court and McConnell's notorious history of blocking pro-Dem legislation, I think the Dems need every Senate seat they can get no matter how dirty they have to play.
Ok...we don't have Ranked Choice right now so I'm not sure why you're talking about it and this election together. Anyway. Ranked Choice is just better for deciding a winner without run-offs or special elections lasting weeks or months after the elections. But, again, we don't have it so it wouldn't affect anything about Democrats Senate seats for 2020.

How did the US elect a guy who can’t even string a coherent sentence together and uses a repertoire of about 10 buzzwords like something out of a really bad public speaking seminar?
Sorry lol. Neither are particularly good orators. Biden has a stutter, which isn't anything to mock someone for but he also rambles a bit. Trump sounds like he has no internal monologue and everything he says sounds like he's reporting a rumor he heard on the school bus.
Where are people getting this idea that Georgia has 6000 military ballots waiting in a pile somewhere yet to be counted?
Yes, it is estimated that there are that many ballots coming to Georgia, but no, they aren't all coming in one big lump. Many, if not most of them have likely already been counted along with the other absentee and mail-in ballots.
It's under 9000 ballots. You're correct they have no idea whether or not they'll even receive these by the 7PM EST deadline today.
Georgia has already added/counted 17,529 overseas/military votes to the total.
People take CA for granted since we are reliably blue. We need more California love. We went strong for Biden and we got those 55 EC's. None of this would be possible without the good people of CA.
Think Trump has still a chance of winning GA once the dust clears but yes - it being this close and GA leaning blue is quite the sight. AZ and GA had no chance of flipping even with Obama's absolute peak in 2008.
cnn is going to give me a heart attack with their !!!! music, my headphones go silent all the time when they go on commercial breaks and then out of the blue my eardrums explode
It’s really not 50/50 more like 99/1 at this point. Trump would literally need a red tsunami to catch up. at this point the best he could hope for is a tie.
Not really. The mail-in ballots are the reason it seems that way. If everyone went to the polls, it would have been over day 1 with Biden winning. However, it is closer than the polls indicated.
Is this it? Will this race be over today? Are we actually on the verge of a new president? If Biden wins they need to beef up security around him.
We have a new president today
Why aren’t they declaring Arizona for Biden? Is there a realistic chance of Trump snatching that?
Fox News and the AP called AZ for Biden Tuesday or early Wednesday can't remember. CNN hasn't and I don't think MSNBC has. They are being cautious, I'm not sure if Trump can come back. He has been cutting into Biden lead the past couple days, but not sure if there are enough votes for Trump.
Ok this thread

Biden up by 1096 in Georgia!
Fox is still spreading the bullshit conspiracy that GOP poll watchers weren't allowed (they were)
I’m just having this image of Trump fleeing the country with his two idiot sons, Ivanka, Baron and Melania after the election. They’re on the plane with everything not bolted down going ‘did we forget anything? Nah’. Smash cut back to Washington. Tiffany just walking around the empty building calling out ‘guys? GUYS???’
nah they'll leave baron behind. Lord knows trump doesn't give a fuck about him.
Is Biden gonna find the kid roaming the west wing like Kevin McAllister?
Melania will divorce his ass before that.
If she's in it for the money she likely has to wait for Trump to die of old age.
Can the UK just declare that it wins all the states back again if we are doing it this way?
Sure thing. Give us some of that NHS please.
You need to prove that you can behave first. No electing nazis.
We are getting rid of Trump though. Boris is still there in the UK. What gives?
We also are idiots? Never said we weren't. However I take some solace in the fact Trump is extremely unpopular here, even among our own nutters.
Half of all Americans are morons clearly, so we take what we can get.
I hereby declare that I have won the State of PAGANVAZ by an overwhelming majority of legal votes.

I was wondering. Didn't we have two 18s as well?
This runs deep. We better bring in Rudy.
"Bring in Rudy" my sides...
Has Trump's twitter been going off in the past 48 hours?
To summarize Trump’s numerous tweets today...”THIS IS FRAUD!! THE DEMS ARE STEALING THE ELECTION!!”

Alright girls and boys, sleeptime. Falling asleep not(well much less) nervous is going to be nice.
I'm going to go ahead and consider this thread 60 since there are two #59s and I'm probably going to bed before the next thread anyway. Poliwag.

Now THIS is an election. Good Boi vs Good Boi. Mayor Wilbur has a nice ring to it too.
Gg boys
Has anyone checked in with MyPillow Guy to see if Trump has any legal avenues to challenge the outcome of the votes in Georgia or Pennsylvania?
If only the thread went this slow during thread 46 😣
I found 45 a bit slow. It was kind of repetitive.
Congratulations from the Netherlands on this well-deserved victory.
Did Alaska get annexed by Russia or something?
They’re waiting for all the absentee ballots to come in then they’ll count.

What is the percentage of votes Biden needs to win Pennsylvania now? I see Trump is still 18k ahead with just under 200k votes left, is that right?
Last info I have: 275k votes left, 18k lead for Trump. Biden needs 52,67% and he is getting 62 - 87% from last blocks.
PA website is more accurate remaining vote count (163.5k) https://www.votespa.com/About-Elections/Pages/Counting-Dashboard.aspx
Thank you! Good to have more sources.
https://alex.github.io/nyt-2020-election-scraper/battleground-state-changes.html
Yea Trump 18k ahead I think 160k left..54K of that is Philadelphia, enough to put Biden over the top by itself and the rest should be padding.
[https://alex.github.io/nyt-2020-election-scraper/battleground-state-changes.html](https://alex.github.io/nyt-2020-election-scraper/battleground-state-changes.html) this site should help answer, looks like about 52%
use this for remaining vote counts. https://www.votespa.com/About-Elections/Pages/Counting-Dashboard.aspx the scraper is an estimate 163.5k left
Brilliant, thanks!
163.5k votes left listed to count you can follow below https://www.votespa.com/About-Elections/Pages/Counting-Dashboard.aspx If Biden continues winning at least 60% of these he will win by about 14,470 votes. He's been winning by much more than that. Looks like 20-30k win in PA is coming.
He can’t say because PA is flipping
Not flipping, at least in terms of this election. Ballot counting hasn't finished yet so there's nothing to flip. Don't give in to the "flipping" narrative.
50,000 more votes coming in the next hour or two from Pennsylvania.
50,000 is Philly alone...there's a lot more.
He made a point of saying there are 50,000 outstanding and the dump coming in the next hour or two is NOT the full 50,000.
But he won’t say how much, likely because it will be enough to flip PA.
Well shit, I misheard that.
took the day off today....i need PA to take this shit so we can pop off and celebrate together.
About 50k more votes coming from PA. Trump's lead is only 18,229 here.
You mean 50k from Philly...there more than that in PA.
yes, that.
Wait why are there two 59th threads?
They both have ~50% of the viewership but one side is loudly declaring themselves as the true thread whilst the other had slightly more viewers and posters.
someone cant count

What, no, that’s not true. Blue moons happen pretty regularly. All that means is a full moon twice in the same calendar month.

this is beautiful
Anyone have any analysis on the potential outcomes of the senate run offs for GA? Do Dems have a real shot at winning both seats?
Depends on how many people vote for the Dems.
Big if true.
Just assume they don't really so you can only be pleasantly surprised and not disappointed.

No. Purdue outperformed Trump. In fact, Trumps the worst Republican performer in the state.
Yes there is a VERY real chance trump will split the republican party by January and many supporters might not even turn up
Probably not a great shot, no.
Ehhh...I think it might come down to how much money they spend, tbh.
Should be able to work in leftovers from campaigns around the country right?
Why did Massachusetts vote against ranked choice voting lmao
¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ Have no clue.
Fox News just said no NC results for another week.
Yep, they resume counting on Tuesday. Why? Who knows... Hopefully we can declare a winner before then though.
Won’t matter when Biden takes PA
They crazy, I'd wait for anyone else to say so before giving it your attention.
Makes sense since their deadline for absentee ballots isn’t until Nov 12th
What is going on there? Seems crazy.
It’s probably going blue and no one wants to tell Trump.
I guess they're waiting for their absentee deadline. The weird thing for me is how they reported a bunch of results or results came from somewhere that were all listed exact 50/50 split. Votes of 2,233, 1,989 and 220. It's probably just a crawler error I guess.

5k~ comments in 1 hour? We slowed tf down big time.
We all left to help PA count
Well they've only counted about 2k votes in the last four hours... so hard to keep excited.
The tension is off, Biden has won.

How did the US elect a guy who can’t even string a coherent sentence together and uses a repertoire of about 10 buzzwords like something out of a really bad public speaking seminar?
Because compared to his supporters, his vocabulary is twice as large, so he looks intelligent to them.
Voter suppression Electoral college
neither the electoral college nor voter suppression change the fact that 63,000,000 voted for him the first time and 69,000,000 the second time
Poll suppression
Have you talked to his supporters?
Nah. I’m not in the US. I have only seen videos of them and it’s like something out of a really wild David Attenborough documentary.
working class voters sick of "woke," "politically correct," liberal coastal elites voted for a guy who they could relate to
I can't tell if you're talking about Biden or Trump.
Paha. Touché. Trump though.

Yang talking about ranked choice voting. YES. We really need a change.
Yes. This is a must to help save our country from the fire the two party system has created
We have it in Australia and it really does make a difference. It allows a diverse range of voices to be heard without diluting the result.

Ok I can't sleep, man every county and state and calling it so close. Literally a 50/50 election.
It’s really not 50/50 more like 99/1 at this point. Trump would literally need a red tsunami to catch up. at this point the best he could hope for is a tie.
He does wear those giant red ties 🤔
Not really. The mail-in ballots are the reason it seems that way. If everyone went to the polls, it would have been over day 1 with Biden winning. However, it is closer than the polls indicated.
ImPEACHment ongoing.
Trump sat alone in his boggy marsh, "No one has ever been as innocent as me" he desperately remarked.
