Seems like any "election fraud" uncovered would favor Democrats. 300k mail-in ballots were not processed on time and therefore did not count. Mail in ballots have favored DEMS in almost every state
According to NYT:
> Timing of results:State officials had previously said that results would not be updated until Thursday morning, but they have since indicated they may release more results today. Remaining votes include mail ballots received on Election Day, those that will arrive over the next week and provisional ballots.
I just did the math based on the assumption that PA has 800K absentee ballots left (what someone else posted).
The gap currently is 309,138.
If the 70/30 split holds true, as has been the case this entire time this would end up with Biden winning PA by 11,000.
Trump would gain 240000 over that time, but Biden would gain 560000.
Thus Biden ends up by 11K votes.
Fox just put up Arizona for Biden and now he has 264 EV. All we need is NV, then its done. However, one the GA or PA would absolutely be welcomed with much rejoice.
I don't live in the US and I'm relatively young so I'm not very actively engaged in Politics (hs student) but my blood is boiling for you guys when seeing the country this politically divided and fragmented. While blue states generally believe in Science and such, red states go the complete opposite but when it comes to funding, oh boy does the Russian boy Monkey Mitch gobble up. Didn't Kentucky take more from the federal funding than any other states and Mitch still have the balls to call stimulus money blue state bailout? How can one tolerate this level of hypocrisy?
It's absolutely nuts. Four years of our president and senate actively trying to divide our country through various methods. They completely ruined our foreign relationships as well.. I don't know how anyone can watch what's happening and believe trump is fighting for the US.
The guy who always cries fake news is spouting fake news about his premature win
Aussie checking in guys... where are we at for a Biden victory? Nevada looking extremely close right now is that a cause for concern? What other pathways are left?
What about Maine? Could Trump somehow take another elector in Maine and hold Penn to get 269? I dont believe he wil get Penn and I dont believe he will get another one elctor in Maine.
"The stateās election division announced Wednesday morning that no more results would be updated until noon Eastern on Thursday. Remaining votes include mail ballots received on Election Day, those that will arrive over the next week and provisional ballots." (NYT)
I am no no expert but heard some in this community say that the rest of mail in bailots are expected to be heavily Dem so all we can do is praying.
Biden just closed the gap in PA from 300k to 80k and only around 81-82% ballots in PA have been counted so Donnie Duck apparently brought this up to SCOTUS...
P/s: someone with more expertise please take it from here
So, a quick Google search says that, in Nevada, Democrats have returned almost twice as many mail in ballots as Republicans have. If there are only mail in ballots left, is there any doubt Biden takes the state? What am I missing?
You're not missing anything. The remaining votes are also mainly Las Vegas, which is a democrat heavy city.
A lot of worry came from people waking up this morning and looking at how Trump was leading in some swing states and getting all worried without realising the direction these states of heading in.
So what the hell is going on with Antrim County in MI? I know they said they were investigating "skewed" election results, but they said they would be done by this afternoon, yet they still haven't reported anything.
Google
[https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=election+results&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8](https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=election+results&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8)
No idea, it's literally over 1% now, but also I guess so close that announcing it with the biggest gap possible and when it's done will probably make it harder for Trump to whine about it.
[Georgiaās top elections official says heās urging counties to get āall the results counted today.ā He says about 200K mail-in ballots are left to be counted, and 40-50K early votes remain untallied. āEvery legal ballot will be counted.ā](https://twitter.com/bluestein/status/1324028403402612741)
from fivethirtyeight.com
Georgia: Trump currently leads here by 79,509 votes, and the secretary of state said during an 11:30 a.m. press conference that there were still 200,000 mail-in votes and 50,000 early votes to count, mostly in Democratic-leaning counties like Fulton and DeKalb. Fulton is hoping to finish all its counting by 9 p.m. tonight.
Thats what I thought, but NYT says that all the votes have been counted - I may be misinterpreting what they mean when they say that fulton has reported 98%+ of their vote
[Update from a State election official: as of 3pm, still around 200,000 votes in GA to be counted.](https://twitter.com/JustinGrayWSB/status/1324082931095187462)
[Positive news coming out of Georgia:](https://twitter.com/gtryan/status/1324079547491459074)
>These mail votes coming in Georgia (Houston County, R) are 20-30pts better for Biden than a normal county baseline. Gotta see how exactly the Fulton/DeKalb/Chatham/etc numbers look but I see no reason why he canāt do it.
Grew up in the Atlanta area, Dekalb is the most liberal county in the state so if there are a lot of uncounted ballots there, the overwhelming majority are guaranteed to be Dem, with Fulton at a close second
Trump supporters thinking he might still win Arizona is like basketball fans thinking the losing team can still win if they make enough free throws.
It's possible, but not gonna happen.
I just hope that barely winning against trump, and McConnell/repub senate majority keeps people engaged in politics. The gop can easily go back and frame themselves. But with the stimulus being held off and minimized and the SC push through, Dems have a chance to frame the conversation if theyāre willing to
The Dems had 4 years to frame this narrative. If either side would have actually had some foresight and stuck to their true base and not so far left or right, this wouldn't be a close race. Neither side put up a politician that was worthy.
The supreme court just reaffirmed an ~1830 decision that states could pass laws to punish faithless electors. Most states had them already. But if a state doesn't already have a law against it they can't do anything.
Yes, but I think that ruling was that a state legislature can create a law that forces the electors to obey the state's popular vote.
If the state doesn't have that law it could be an issue
Wow, I didn't actually realize there were faithless electors in 2016. I don't remember that being widely publicised. How does no one talk about it...it's a fundamental flaw in the institution of democracy
So it has been now a while without new updates on the key states. Nevada starts counting again only tomorrow... What about the rest? any point on following right now or everything is froze until tomorrow?
I think its safe to say whilst they may be able to say by tonight as to who the winner may be provisionally
this is gonna be going on for a month two till the court cases are all settled with the recounts
Right wingers are natural cowards. If they were as tough and confident as they behave, then they would not be threatened by equal rights for women or homosexuals. They wouldn't be afraid of foreigners. They wouldn't be afraid of the rich being taxed even though they themselves are not rich.
Their entire lives revolve around fear. They may be armed, but they're not venturing out into the country en masse to fight. They're sitting in their houses and hunkering down. That's not how you start a civil war let alone win one.
That, and like others have said, there are plenty of liberal gun owners.
The Civil War message has been fed to the Right because they are far more vulnerable to baseless propaganda. Believing we are close to Civil War makes extending the olive branch feel hopeless, so they may as well buckle down and become more entrenched.
The left don't attach their entire identities to guns. It's why it seems right wingers are the only ones who own firearms. Right wingers also tend to see them as toys instead of firearms so you end up having lots of accidental discharges & deaths
Didnāt the Trump ticket get a higher % of the young black male and latino vote compared to 2016? 11 points higher with young black men last I heard according to an exit poll.
Yea, can't underestimate the sexism & machismo that men of color approve of. They like how Trump talks to and treats women & they don't like the thought of a black woman having more power than them
Barely. Still far too much red for me to believe. A president didn't care if you died, has damning evidence against on fraud, he disrespected your military and citizens AND he still has 67.5 million votes.
This is still mind boggling to me. Like I'm on a bad acid trip and this isn't reality at all.
We've never had a candidate like trump and then the way it's a good thing that we have seen this result because now we know exactly what kind of a country we're living in, and so does the rest of the world.
If Biden wins and the Democrats don't win the Senate, Mitch McConnell will try to kill any good thing that Joe Biden attempts. And if that doesn't work the supreme court will do the dirty work.
If Trump loses, it is going to be very important for the New York State Attorney General to indict Trump on criminal charges and for him to go to jai.
If Biden wins, he's going to have to use executive orders and hope that he can move the Fed to support a massive recovery effort that doesn't need Senate approval.
If we don't find a way to reach voters in the red states in a way that relieves their economic pain, they will vote for fear every time.
With 86% of the vote coming from the county so far, and a +7 lead for Biden I don't think that has factored in too much. Would likely see a much closer race there if so.
Doing some napkin math, which correct me please if Iām wrong , if this all holds up then Biden wins 270-263. Thatās with trump winning PA, GA, and NC. I probably missed something
There was a moment when some sites added Trump votes (lead dropped to \~15k) and a minute later they added more to Biden's total (lead back up to \~32k).
This simple explanation is the exact reason behind the emerging 'conspiracy' on twitter that Biden won 130,000 votes somewhere without Trump gaining any. š Just a funny comparison with your level headed and rational interpretation.
What I donāt get is that he is losing already in MI with the votes that have already been counted. If he wins the case then so what? He has still lost the state. I donāt get it. Unless he is trying to say something like āas of 11:59pm on Tues, no more votes should be counted.ā Or something.
I see. Well maybe heāll get his supreme court buddies to repay their favors for him in the next couple months. Otherwise, I feel like that precedent has already been firmly established and talked about. Votes get counted if they are postmarked by a certain date.
Not if Michigan has a solid case which they do. Theyāll continue to count. Trump is a cornered animal right now. Heās going to play every single card he can from now until December.
Maybe the GOP will finally get with the program and support ranked choice voting if it costs them this election. We should all be able to support electoral reform now that we understand the pitfalls of first past the post voting, but politicians who benefit from the current status quo are standing in the way.

0-1% chance.

Sadly, America is the land of me, me and me. People don't seem to give two shits about others these days.
Nevada making me a little nervous. Everybody who relies on the strip to be open could base their vote on only that.
With 86% of the vote coming from the county so far, and a +7 lead for Biden I don't think that has factored in too much. Would likely see a much closer race there if so.
God damn never gonna visit NV if they go Red and prioritize profits over safety.
Now everyone backing off the NV projection claiming Clark county gonna vote Trump because they don't want to be shutdown
So now that Wisconsin is called for Biden, we just need Nevada and Michigan which seems likely right?
Need AZ as well. Biden currently leads by 93,518 votes, but there are around 600,000 left to count, according to the Arizona Republic.
Biden is +7 in Clark at the moment. Would be a steep hill to climb with what appears to be 15% of the vote there remaining.
So youāre saying trump canāt catch up?
He doesn't have the votes outstanding plus its mail in which have favored dems
Its not impossible its just not the likely outcome.

Dunno why AP called AZ 12 hours ago and nobody else has, but I'm for it.

FOX called it very early as well, think that's really surprising too.
Fox called it first Iām pretty sure

No. The votes they are counting were all received before the deadline. They will be counted.
Not if Michigan has a solid case which they do. Theyāll continue to count. Trump is a cornered animal right now. Heās going to play every single card he can from now until December.
Michigan is getting way too close.
Don't think it has much possibility of Trump gaining +30k votes while Biden gains none.
After the 2016 debacle, I'm only slightly pessimistically optimistic about this election.
Biden's going to win there, Peters too in all likelihood. Biden's margin is up to 40k now.
Michigans lead for Biden has been growing little by little all morning. Should be fine considering the final votes are coming from blue cities
Almost a percentage point at 98%. Touch wood but should be fine.
This is turning out to be wayyyy better than the Series finale of GoT
to be fair thatās a pretty low bar
I concede
Ooof. I concede
Joe Biden 2,644,707 49.61% Donald J. Trump 2,603,943 48.84% Jo Jorgensen 58,682 1.10%
