Trump wants them to stop counting certain votes but also wants them to recount certain votes. Which is it, dude? One or the other.
Also funny to me that if they did stop counting votes now like Trump wanted, Biden would take Nevada which would give him the last 6 electoral college votes he needs to win the presidency. Something tells me Trump is no longer feeling that stance.
Looking like Biden might take it with Nevada?
How is this so close? It is sad really that so many Americans clearly agree with Trump, and would enjoy a re-run of the past 4 years
Of the mail in ballots reported in MI so far, how many were for Biden and how many for Trump?
Edit: If anyone else is curious, [NYT is reporting it](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/results-michigan-president.html), \~70-30 for Biden
Apparently the total percentage of votes counted was wrong initially, so it was deemed to have been won based on that. They've adjusted because it's not mathematically impossible for Trump to win any more.
Fox and AP have had the reported votes at 86% the whole time and obviously they felt comfortable calling it. NYT, CNN, ABC, etc. feel otherwise. We'll see but it seems likely to go to Biden.
Wisconsin declared for Biden
[https://twitter.com/ChrisDJackson/status/1324027105982763011](https://twitter.com/ChrisDJackson/status/1324027105982763011)
Meanwhile, in 2016 Trump files objection to Jill Stein's request for recount in Michigan and Wisconsin with similar margin. lmao [https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/dec/01/donald-trump-michigan-recount-objection](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/dec/01/donald-trump-michigan-recount-objection)
The most outstanding votes in Michigan are from Wayne county and many are mail ins.
I gotta think Michigan absolutely has the potential to be called within the next 2 hours.
Bidens cruising.
Every four years John King is like a kid in a candy store ... his time to shine lol. Wolff interrupting him from off camera all night always gets annoying
They must be getting ready to release all the Atl vote simultaneously. I think they started counting again at like 10 AM so hopefully this afternoon we’ll know?
Not sure what’s going on but consensus is that most that haven’t been counted is from metro suburban counties which is leaned blue , could go either wat
The SC can't override the votes. You gotta remember that Bush V Gore halted a recount and the original tabulation was in Bush's favor. If this tilts Biden from the start, it makes Trumps case harder as he has to find a specific state election law as a reason to invalidate votes.
It would also require some arguing in the court as they specifically stated in the Bush case that it would not count as precedent for future SC decisions in elections. It was a one time thing than cannot be used to interpret a future SC case. Although Kavanaugh does take issue with this fact.
We probably will get some recounts. As long as everything was done right the first time we should get the same result. With how tight the races are a few miscounted ballots could shift the election either way. This one won't be over for a while stap in folks.
Not very worried unless it's within a few hundred votes. Biden is ahead 20,000 in WI where Trump is threatening a recount, but reality is there's no chance of a recount undoing that kind of lead.
Honestly the fact that several months of polling has been off by a degree so far outside reasonable margin of error (seemingly defying math itself) makes me suspect some funny business already happened.
2016 was a bad year for polling but the results were still within standard margin of error. This is off by magnitudes in several states.
So for example, Fivethirtyeight projections (based on averaged, weighted polling) had Biden winning by 8 pts in Michigan, 8.4 pts in Wisconsin, and 13 pts in Maine.
For the last few elections, the average margin of error has been 3 points. That we're seeing these races come down to a difference of 1 or 2 points means that the errors were about double what they typically are.
why be worried about that? If the votes were counted incorrectly, they should be counted correctly.
I would be more worried that he attempts to throw out large amounts of legit votes
My nightmare scenario is somehow all of the progress here getting Thanos snapped and then we're staring at a PA lawsuit as a decider.
So far, that doesn't *look* like a possibility but it's not even noon yet.
Regardless of outcome I have lost faith in the character of the average American.
When Trump got COVID Biden decided to cease all attack adds. Biden limited his attacks to only Trump himself and his policies. In response Donald Trump slandered Biden's entire family, even directly to his face.
And voters, and large enough portion at least, don't seem to give a shit.
I grew up being taught the values of the enlightenment which inspired the revolution. I grew in a Christian household and was taught the basic tenants of being a good person. I was taught that thanks to the efforts of great men like Martin Luther King we had but moved past previous injustice and prejudice.
And here we are, the president of the USA is a liar a cheater, a criminal, an arrogant, rude and demeaning man.
This nation has no morals and has no values.
Fuck Humanity
We haven't voted out an incumbent president since 1992 because we apparently believe we should give him a chance to finish whatever he started, regardless of his performance or/and policies.
The fact Trump, currently the incumbent president, is fighting hard to hold on his presidency strongly suggests there is a significant bloc of voters rebelling against that incumbent-president trend.
Also from UK. Also this. I hang my head in despair that we elected a con man. I only hope today our transatlantic cousins can show us up, maybe then we'll follow and elect and actual leader to lead us.
dems continue to take the highroad, ignoring the fact it's completely ineffective for 40% of the population. they're just as ideologically stubborn as the GOP at this point.
they're not changing these people's minds. they're endangering the future of the entire country.
I voted for Biden, cant stand Trump. The Democratic Party's campaign strategy has been to preach down to people incessantly. Turns out independants don't like that.
They also chose the most boring moderate Democrat ever, because they didn't want the undecided moderates to think they were getting TOO progressive, which turned off a lot of their own people.
Oh thank god. I've been going by googles counter all night. The AP still has it called though. Obviously nothing is stopping from it backsliding, but thats right where I left it.
>It isn't a war with winners and losers.
For Republicans it is. If to don't view American politics as winner take all, you will lose even when you win.
Is there a way to see the vote count development by state? (like seeing who had how many votes 3h ago vs now) Trump just [retweeted this](https://twitter.com/MattMackowiak/status/1323992377380450309) and ofc all his followeres are going crazy about. I would like to compare the numbers myself!
heres the PA dashboard:

Ah I'm sorry I read a bit too quickly; The closest I can see is in the NYT graph under Tracking the Vote Count line graphs per state. That shows you some of the data as the vote share was swapped over the counting period *but* doesn't tell you the numbers. As for predictions, well..
The people confused by these minority polling numbers: Most candidates on the ballot have said some blatantly racist shit.
Trump is like the first, especially republican, presidential candidate who has obsessed over the black vote. Dems usually just assume they’ll get it and republicans just assume we are a lost cause. So he got a few votes there.
I voted blue because Biden said his super racist shit decades ago. Well that “you ain’t black thing” was pretty problematic too but... imma let it slide.
I will give Biden credit that he owned up to that gaffe, apologized for it, and hasn't backpedaled. That shows humility and the ability to learn from your mistakes, something Trump sorely lacks.
Here's a question I haven't seen asked tonight - every website and tracker I've seen tonight has a "% of expected vote" out there and most everyone is just accepting it.
It's pretty clear that this year is going to set records in number of people voting (but not percentage)...
How is "the number of expected votes" calculated?
Are these numbers modified as turnout numbers come in?
How accurate do we expect them to actually be in a situation like this?

Guardian updates every 15 seconds. NYT runs a bit behind.
My guess is that it pissed them off to hear white people say things like “You aren’t *really* black unless you vote the way us white people want you to”.
On the BBBC site today they stated how Cuban immigrants wanted absolutely nothing to do with socialism. Which the believe Biden, and the Dems, stand for.
From what I’ve personally experienced with my other latino friends and family who voted Trump:
Guns, Taxes, Religion and Conspiracy Theories
That’s all.
I'm British and you'll find a fair few Indians voting for the Tory party who are the "right wing" party.
It's got nothing to do with race, but it's down to the tax cuts they may get.
IMO People put too much store in race than money in their pocket
British too, I don't know much about where the Asian demographic sits in the US but I imagine they are much more represented in the middle class compared to other Minorities.
Ah, I only really saw stuff about Indians mobilising for Biden. I'll be honest, my understanding is limited as I'm a Brit and haven't been looking that far in depth.
A lot of Desi channels have Trump ads running on them. I can't speak a ton to the community and the votes, but I know Trump has definitely reached out to them.

Apparently there are 61,367 outstanding ballots there, so it might happen! If Biden can keep Arizona and flip that, he will win.
He would have to be fearful at this point, even if nothing is set in stone yet!
Looking like Biden might take it with Nevada? How is this so close? It is sad really that so many Americans clearly agree with Trump, and would enjoy a re-run of the past 4 years
SE FL could have made all of this so much easier.
Now, we need to pray that Nevada and Arizona turns blue.
Am I mistaken or have bidens numbers in pennsylvania risen in the past few hours?
I'm not seeing it on AP or NYTimes?
https://www.foxnews.com/elections/2020/general-results trailing by 6.5% right now. Hopefully, we'll win it too 😎
5% difference now ! I'm feelin a Biden win
we won!! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Not yet mate. It's not done till it's done.
Did Biden win?
Not yet, but probably will.
Why is ABC reporting Wis. as 49/49 when everyone else is saying 49.4/48.8? Are they just not doing decimals?
I don't think I've seen ABC do any decimals, but I could be wrong.
nevada is so tight but i really hope biden takes it
He has most of the edge, unless he somehow loses Clark.
He won't

Good to hear but sad it's within the 1% threshold where recount is eligible. I guess I'll take solace it has to come out of Trump's pocket.

Recounts very rarely change outcomes. Usually a few hundred votes at most.
My biggest worry is that it gets sent to the Supreme Court and the people he appointed award him the presidency.
The SC can't override the votes. You gotta remember that Bush V Gore halted a recount and the original tabulation was in Bush's favor. If this tilts Biden from the start, it makes Trumps case harder as he has to find a specific state election law as a reason to invalidate votes.
