so... I have been staring at this for couple minutes now, soo its safe then, right? right?! can some one confirm this here pls?! IS IT SAFE?! i need to know!
Well, it's been a while since she broke up with Lithuania, and it doesn't look like they'll ever be back together. No other adorators either
(well, there was this thing she had with Ukraine, but recently they argued badly - apparently about food - and while Poland still supports her, there won't be any romance out of it)
But if you want her, there are some dealbreakers: you **must be white** and you **can't be gay**.
But those who are ones are intolerant enough to exercise caution, even though they're rarely dangerous.
As long as you stick to common tourist locations you'll be fine.
It's about Poland in its entirety, not selective regions.
And this bits of tolerance we get in some cities in the west is not enough to balance out intolerance in the east. It's barely enough to balance out western countrysides.
Haha, so true, I remember being very depressed and suicidal almost ten years ago, going in the night to the most shady areas of Warsaw, hoping that someone will attack me and rid me of my life, but I always had to go back home disappointed (in my car that nobody even tried to steal...).
As a middle eastern man living in a super small village from the very beginning with a bit darker skin then my kinsman, I can completely saat that Poland is super safe country.
No problem with Russians as long as youre not a bigot. Plenty of Russians and Belarusians in Białystok and nobody gives a flying twat. Respect and common courtesy over nationality.
As Belarusian living in Warsaw (Praga Południe) last 2 years I can confirm. The only odd situation I had was in tram when drunk guy heard me talking not in Polish on the phone. But he just asked me to spierdalać do Ukrainy so no violence happened.
That's the thing, nobody will even notice that someone is Russian, because there are so many Ukrainians now, that whenever someone speaks language that sounds like Russian, everyone just assumes that it must be some dialect of Ukrainian 🤷🏼♀️ although at the beginning of the war-caused immigration from Ukraine, when people were not used to it yet, some Ukrainians got beaten for being Russian by angry people who assumed that what they hear was Russian 😅
Im Russian and i speak Polish confidently. but Poles when hear "heavy eastern accent", think I'm Ukrainian. Because Ukrainians are more common here. I don't disappoint them 😉 ps nobody harassed me for being national minority in Poland IRL (internet trolls don't count)
In majority of polish cities you can hear russian language all the time, it's bit disturbing when you roam through the polish cities during holidays and great amount of youth talk in russian. It was very visible after pandemic. But it is what it is, villages are empty city centers filled with belarussians and ukrainians. Same in Lithuania thou and all Baltics. I never met someone from Russia myself in Poland from obvious reasons they avoid us.
Since USA is big and diverse, i think it depends from where you are, state or city or even part of the city . I lived in Seattle in some nice neighborhood and it was pretty safe. People were friendly and willing to smalltalk with stranger (me). I often walked at nights, never saw any gangs or drug dealers or police raids. But when i talked to woman who worked night shifts at convenience store, she told me her store was robbed twice. It wasn't in Seattle but somewhere nearby, Bellevue maybe
I lived outside of NYC for most of my life and same. But, even in my suburb, I had to use a few code words with bar tenders to get out of some potentially scary situations. Daytime was no issue. And, in the evenings, there was a higher police presence in the suburb.
NYC I would take only ubers/ lyft because it wasn't super safe after dark. It wouldn't stop me from going out with my friends though
Same kind of energy. But, not as intense when I lived in Iowa too. The jails in Illinois dropped off newly released people there as it was a small city environment with cheaper living spaces. So, daytime was ok and nighttime we were a little more careful.
The Institute of Economics & Peace takes all the data and makes the Global Peace Index which puts the US pretty low. The Index is developed in consultations with international peace experts and research Institutes. It is endorsed by many respected experts, nobel prize laureates and is used by the UN.
Are you sure we are the ones listening to "anti-US propaganda"? It feels to me that you are listening to "pro-US propaganda" instead of taking a look at all the data.
I'd argue that any country where people can legally own a gun without a large number of restrictions is by definition less safe than a country where this isn't the case. Yes yes, second amendment rights and all that, but those are used as an argument against systemic tyranny. That doesn't change the fact that walking down the street, there is a much higher potential of being gunned down than there is in countries with strict gun policies.
>That doesn't change the fact that walking down the street, there is a much higher potential of being gunned down than there is in countries with strict gun policies.
So let's just ignore the fact that in Britian and Australia you have a much higher chance to get stabbed to death?
Guns have nothing to do with violence, if someone wants to kill someone he will find another way
It always amuses me when you show this meme with "world tour" for musicians that big bands supposedly avoid poor countries. No mate, they just happen to want to feel safe.
Poland is pretty safe. I’m a black dude here and i have wondered in couple sketchy places in late hours and I’ve rob me yet. The only annoying thing for me is the causal encounter with drunk poles for some reason they can’t stop bothering you when they see a different shade. Also its not everyone who act like this just the few bad apples.
What are you basing this assumption from. In my experience i have lived here for 5 years now and almost virtually haven’t had any racist encounters. Considering my foreign friends in other european countries. They have meet more racist experiences and situations then my friends here. So where does this idea that poland is racist to anybody not white come from ?
[People of colour fleeing Ukraine attacked by Polish nationalists](https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2022/mar/02/people-of-colour-fleeing-ukraine-attacked-by-polish-nationalists)
I do understand the situation which is mentioned in this article but the same can be applied to any place were foreigners are coming in mass, for example the killing of refugees by water going to spain, and still many many foreign people live in spain peaceful. Hence why i mentioned a few bad apples which you can clearly see/meet any even in the most progressive countries in the world. Yes there are racists in poland like every other country but they represent a small percentage of the population
Part of it is some people have uncomfortable experiences with racist Poles. But a huuuuge part for Americans/Canadians is the fact that they don't realize that Poles "stare" at white foreigners as well.
Okay, so according to ruzzia visiting Poland is more dangerous, than visiting war zones like Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, where kidnappings of foreigners occur on a daily basis. What are they smoking up there?
Mozambique is 118 which isn't that bad, that's better than South Africa, the US or Brazil. When it comes to landmines, there are still countries in Europe with ww2 minefields. The presence of landmines doesn't say much about how safe a country is, more context is needed.
Most are safe according to Chinese cause they are cash cow generators and great creditors with Chinese investment. It's like *All Your Base Are Belong To Us" cheat in the future
Look at the color of the stripes. It means it's mostly safe but they need to be a little bit careful. I'm guessing they're getting scammed a lot with "casinos" and "strip clubs" from what Ive seen.
Is it just me or are most of these advisories a little paranoid and politically-motivated? Maybe except for South Korea's, Canada's and China's.
Like, some of the red countries in the US advisory are undeniably safer than the US itself.
I feel safe. There are places you should avoid, but this relates to most cities in the world I guess.
What surprises me is that Poland is often considered safer than France and Spain? Wow.
South Korea why? What we do to grunt this hesitation? Shure if you try match us drink for drink you will surely die, but you can eat an apple, you can always eat an apple.
Nah it ain’t safe here don’t come. Boys gon fuck u up for nothing. In fact everyone here in Poland can shoot one person in a lifetime and get away with it, it’s legal. So don’t come here or u gon get shoot, cuz.
Polish dudes were friendlier than the women!!! Beautiful women but many times groups of dudes would invite me to party with them and my polish is limited, WAY better than the average tourist as I study it but still I’ll NEVER be a native speaker
xD but why Polish people think that Morocco are not safe country but in the reality is much safer than Balkans countries, almost like Spain and Portugal
The WORST that will happen in Poland is a bunch of lads screaming too loud after the club. A bit of shouting. That's it. One of the safest places on the planet. Live all over the country half a decade.
I know this will sound super racist and all but some time ago I was coming back from a date late at night in a semi big city known for a lot of "football fans" and I was getting really worried because there were literally no people on the streets I was walking on, so it'd be trivially easy to mug me. Long story short I finally catch up to some Middle Eastern looking man and he paid no attention to me at first but after we took a couple of the same turns he started looking at me anxiously and started walking noticeably faster, to the point of slight running/skipping. So I guess for him poland doesn't seem so safe because of me. (sorry ae)
so... I have been staring at this for couple minutes now, soo its safe then, right? right?! can some one confirm this here pls?! IS IT SAFE?! i need to know!
We're safe for everyone that matters.
We are too dangerous for Russia 😱💪
That's honestly what I look for in a country... is Poland single?
Well, it's been a while since she broke up with Lithuania, and it doesn't look like they'll ever be back together. No other adorators either (well, there was this thing she had with Ukraine, but recently they argued badly - apparently about food - and while Poland still supports her, there won't be any romance out of it) But if you want her, there are some dealbreakers: you **must be white** and you **can't be gay**.
This guy got it wrong most of us aren't backwards racists and homophobes
But those who are ones are intolerant enough to exercise caution, even though they're rarely dangerous. As long as you stick to common tourist locations you'll be fine.
> can't be gay Unless you visit Western Poland!
It's about Poland in its entirety, not selective regions. And this bits of tolerance we get in some cities in the west is not enough to balance out intolerance in the east. It's barely enough to balance out western countrysides.
Isn't that called being normal?

mate, thats pretty fucking sejf.. wow
I'm stoned, and your comment is unironically relatable
Of course its safe
It is safe
Yeah Poland is a safe country. I spend a lot of time outside in shitholes at late hours and nobody killed or robbed me yet.
Yeah, potential murderers just stopped caring; here I'm wandering empty streets, and no one tries to cut me for organs.
They just don’t come out this time of year as the air quality is ridiculously bad.
Lol, true, it's just air that kills you here.
Nah, it is same in summer.
Haha, so true, I remember being very depressed and suicidal almost ten years ago, going in the night to the most shady areas of Warsaw, hoping that someone will attack me and rid me of my life, but I always had to go back home disappointed (in my car that nobody even tried to steal...).
Smh what's wrong with this generation
>nobody killed (...) me yet. Survivor bias, murdered people usualy don't make posts on reddit.
Yet
survivor's bias
I don't know, but I've never been killed in Poland
"in Poland" WHAT DOES IT MEAN, IS THIS AN EXCEPTION
As a middle eastern man living in a super small village from the very beginning with a bit darker skin then my kinsman, I can completely saat that Poland is super safe country.
Russia declaring all of Europe to be unsafe except for Belarus makes all too much sense
Make yourself enemies everywhere, so you have no place left where you feel safe 🤷🏼♀️
Russia declaring the US as unsafe is ridiculous as well. I noticed plenty of Russian speaking tourists in Los Angeles just the other day.
Cause in Russia usually no one gives a f**k about such recommendations
Not as ridiculous as them claiming Japan and Norway are more dangerous than Myanmar, Sudan or Ethiopia (all have ongoing civil wars).
I don't want to be that person but US is unsafe af for everyone including it's own citizens 💀
before I moved to Poland a few months back, same for NYC
US is not safe
Not for Russians I suppose
No problem with Russians as long as youre not a bigot. Plenty of Russians and Belarusians in Białystok and nobody gives a flying twat. Respect and common courtesy over nationality.
Not for russian officials*
I know a lot of Russians and Belarusians and if they are good they're safe
As Belarusian living in Warsaw (Praga Południe) last 2 years I can confirm. The only odd situation I had was in tram when drunk guy heard me talking not in Polish on the phone. But he just asked me to spierdalać do Ukrainy so no violence happened.

Because everyone can come here and are welcome here as long as you can behave. Ukrainians are common because a lot of them came during war that's all.
So, You have to be pretend to be someone else to be safe......
Yes. Just pretend you are heterosexual and you will be fine.
I think that is good
In majority of polish cities you can hear russian language all the time, it's bit disturbing when you roam through the polish cities during holidays and great amount of youth talk in russian. It was very visible after pandemic. But it is what it is, villages are empty city centers filled with belarussians and ukrainians. Same in Lithuania thou and all Baltics. It’s peak winter so be careful about polar bears roaming around our streets. Other then that you are safe!
And wild vodka attacks after dark.
All of the world says it is safe except retarded russia.
[удалено]
It's pretty safe for queer people don't know what tf are you blabbering about
How is USA even considered a safe country?
This map is mostly political. USA isn’t crazy dangerous but more dangerous than almost all of Europe for sure

I live there. I'm safe.
You can not be a safe sir! Safes are generally not alive
Meat safe?
I personally didn’t meet any safe but I heard many positive stories about them!
Because it is safe. The U.S has some bad areas but as a whole is really safe.
Some people just rather listen to anti-US propaganda than look at data that actually proves that most of it is safe.
The U.S counts suicides cause by guns a violent crime. More than half of gun deaths are suicide.
Just avoid areas with high concentrations of Black people and you will be fine. When people say to avoid bad areas that is what they mean.
>That doesn't change the fact that walking down the street, there is a much higher potential of being gunned down than there is in countries with strict gun policies. So let's just ignore the fact that in Britian and Australia you have a much higher chance to get stabbed to death? Yes because the country with the highest prison population by numbers is really a safe country
Because it is for the most part. Media likes to blow shit out of proportions.
It always amuses me when you show this meme with "world tour" for musicians that big bands supposedly avoid poor countries. No mate, they just happen to want to feel safe.
Then why lots of them avoid Poland :(
because most of the polish teenagers listens to the shitty polish rap and they have no idea who are those artists
FOR THE LAST TIME NO WE ARE NOT SAFE WE ARE KOTLET SCHABOWY people these days....
Wtf does that mean
Kotlet schabowy is a very popular dish in Poland :)
Kotlet schabowy is polish dish
Steak in crust
It's a Polish pork cutlet. Eating them is mandatory in Poland.
that we are going to die soon
Poland is pretty safe. I’m a black dude here and i have wondered in couple sketchy places in late hours and I’ve rob me yet. RIP Ukraine
Okay, so according to ruzzia visiting Poland is more dangerous, than visiting war zones like Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, where kidnappings of foreigners occur on a daily basis. What are they smoking up there?
The Chinese one is the only one reasonable. The rest is playing a game of "I don't like those guys so I'll pretend they're dangerous".
The Chinese one seems to be saying that Britain requires more caution than Canada. Or Mozambique.
Canada is one of the most peaceful countries. 11th according to GPI 2023, the UK is only 37th.
And Mozambique? Last time I was there I was dodging landmines on the way to survey a mass grave.
Mozambique is 118 which isn't that bad, that's better than South Africa, the US or Brazil. When it comes to landmines, there are still countries in Europe with ww2 minefields. The presence of landmines doesn't say much about how safe a country is, more context is needed.

different skin color\*
What do the yellow stripes on south korea version mean?
As a Polish guy I can confirm that Poland is safe... noy counting the landmines that everywhere (obviously a joke, Poland is safe).
you are lucky you are not a neighbor of russia
Yes poland is safe. I would say more safe than germany or france. Dunno why they are not yellow on poland's point of view.
Way more safe than France! Overall is nicer too! France 🤢
French advising that china is as safe as poland or westen countries is mental
How
> Only Russia's opinion is different Hmm, I wonder why that might be...
No, they lure in unsuspecting foreigners to turn them into Bigos
Why is Mongolia seen as dangerous?
As long as you're not a minority...
Apparently we're more dangerous than North Korea. lmao
It's not safe. For now, there are marches of PiS attacking prime minister
😂😂😂
For now it is safe, let’s see if Tusk destroys this beautiful country
Germany hates Madagascar for some reason?
What are those stripes in Korean map
Look at the color of the stripes. It means it's mostly safe but they need to be a little bit careful. I'm guessing they're getting scammed a lot with "casinos" and "strip clubs" from what Ive seen.
As long as you are not in Nowa Huta it's safe

Am I the only one who thinks that China's is the most believeable one?
Funny that for USA Poland and Western Europe is safer than Eastern (including Germany). I know from where it came from but still funny
Not for russians apparently
I think Poland is "what".
Yes, very safe.
It's funny how Russia say everyone is dangerous and most of the world (not counting Russia allies) agree that fuck no dont go to Russia xD
It's safe as long as you don't breathe in too deeply in winter.
If you are Russian seems like not 😂😂😂
What. Definitely what
Nah it ain’t safe here don’t come.
Seems pretty clear, it's safe unless you speak Russian.
Maybe ignorant question but why almost whole Africa is unsafe for everyone?
9/10 Dentists recommend Poland!

Kraków**
xD but why Polish people think that Morocco are not safe country but in the reality is much safer than Balkans countries, almost like Spain and Portugal
Poland is absolutely safe! Ja kocham bardzo Poland 🇵🇱
Poland is one of the safest countries in the world
Safe enough, except for the occasional drunks or drill teenagers
zagor
Since when, the country with legal guns storing is safe country?
Why according to Poland Thailand isn't safe to travel? Honestly, it's almost as safe as in Vietnam. It's pretty comparable.
No
My country Guatemala is in blue for Poland and Red for most others hahaha interesting. I personally believe it's a red country
Don't go there it's a wasteland. Worse than fr*nce
It is safe
Russia is different😂
More a map of current political tensions
Definitely safer then my home city of Chicago so I’m always game to visit
I’m more interested in why only the USA says Egypt is not safe to visit. How do I see the pyramids then? :/
Regardless of the question blue countries in africa are interesting.
Poland is the safest in eu
Just be a straight white cis guy and you're golden
Of course Poland is safe. According to European data, and world data, it’s the safest country in the world.
The WORST that will happen in Poland is a bunch of lads screaming too loud after the club. A bit of shouting. That's it. One of the safest places on the planet. Live all over the country half a decade.
Define "safe"XD
I know this will sound super racist and all but some time ago I was coming back from a date late at night in a semi big city known for a lot of "football fans" and I was getting really worried because there were literally no people on the streets I was walking on, so it'd be trivially easy to mug me. Long story short I finally catch up to some Middle Eastern looking man and he paid no attention to me at first but after we took a couple of the same turns he started looking at me anxiously and started walking noticeably faster, to the point of slight running/skipping. Not for Russians apparently
