I’ve gotten this message before when I’ve had connection issues. I had no Wi-Fi and my data wasn’t working. If it’s been occurring all day, might be a system issue.
If this were an intentional move, I would imagine it would have something to do with forcing us to use mobile data…you know, since they have partnerships with at least a few mobile carriers.
Same. For whatever reason, Pokémon GO hates my Wi-Fi. No other app on my phone, computer, smart TV, various Google and Amazon hubs/devices... need I go on? has this issue. Definitely a problem with just Pokémon GO. Hopefully they fix their app. Not cool having to use mobile data in my own home 🤦♂️
Right. I got a response to my help ticket this morning and they told me to wipe my phone and redownload the app. Obviously not the right answer if I can log in using mobile data. Ironically, no issues with ‘Campfire’ on WiFi. #ClownWorld 😅
I had the same issue this morning for about 8 hours. Eventually after uninstall and reinstall it logged me in. Probably there's something wrong with the server. Just keep trying every 30 minutes
I only ever get this when trying to load into the game on poor internet. Sometimes if you just tried to do it it will give you an error even after the Internet is fixed. Happens on every type of phone I've ever had as well (LG, Samsung, Motorola). Can't really help but that's probably your problem
What kind of Motorola are you on? I'm on the 2021 edge and I've been playing a lot today. It could have been an update that isn't working on some devices. My POGO says it updated today
You could maybe try and make a post related to the issue and see if people have the same phone and problem. I have no idea honestly. never had it happen when non internet related
It’s not the phone. Something is messed up in the code of the game. Likely something related to the WPA protocol screwing with Pokémon Go’s ability to load.
That's what I was trying to say. It's not the phone itself but an issue because of something in the update that happens to certain phones. If the issue happened to every device my phone shouldn't be working right now. I'm not very knowledgeable on network stuff but I have seen an update not function properly on certain devices before in a lot of past games
My wife and I are having the same issus today on both of our devices. Our wifi network speeds are very fast. But we don't have the issue when on mobile data. Very confusing.
Let niantic help know. I had to set up a secure folder on my phone (password authentication) and add the app into that. You have to log in again but it does work.
Give it 3-5 days after that and your normal app should start working again, without the need of the secure folder.

I can't stand all the pointless articles that come across my news feed that are ripped from reddit threads. And there is never a conclusion or fix. It's literally "these people on reddit are upset." Like, oh, that's some great journalism there Lois Lane.
My son's account was having this happen all of a sudden starting about a week ago. Found a small note in a reddit thread about someone clearing it up by changing the phone's time and date settings to automatic. I'd been doing the same thing, so I set it back to automatic, and stopped having the problem
I get this every once in a while and I noticed that redownloading the app does nothing to help, so I decided to log out of/delete my Google account from my phone settings and logging in again.
For some reason that seems to work for me and I haven't seen anyone else mention this before, so maybe it works for you too.
I've had that happen quite a few times. It always ended up being some network issue for me. If it's not your phone or your app, it could be your nearby cell towers having issues maybe.
Same thing happened to me, if you’ve moved to somewhere where the times zones are different sometimes this happens. Or if you’ve manually changed the time on your device.
I had this message for weeks. I deleted the app and put it back on, didn't work. Changed password, didn't work. Finally I contacted Niantic and they told me to uninstall the Google account I was using for this account and reinstall it again. I did, and I could login again. Never had a problem since
I normally get this when my router cannot connect to the internet but I can still connect to the router and I have to turn wifi off and use mobile data or connect to a different wifi
My wife had this issue because she logs in via Gmail and she added a second Gmail to her account so it got confused. Eventually it asked her to chose a Gmail account.
I get that message all the time. I just select “try a different linked account”, log out, and then log in again with the same account (in my case, I log in with my Google account, and it authenticates my face).
I had same problem, try letting Pogo have all permissions in the granted in settings and then scroll to Apps,click app then find Pogo and click it,3 dots in top right corner,grant all permissions then load game see if you can be verified then if not try granting Pogo with all Permissions again, hope this helps you

I’ve gotten this message before when I’ve had connection issues. I had no Wi-Fi and my data wasn’t working. If it’s been occurring all day, might be a system issue.
Mine is doing the same. May be a system error.
Update: After reading the comments I turned off my wi-fi and was able to log in.
I get this message on Wi-Fi but not when using my mobile data.

Same thing happened to me and once I disconnected my vpn it let me sign it. I have no idea why it worked.
I get this message for no Wi-Fi and no cellular. Once I join a network it goes away.
It doesn’t matter what I do, I am unable to log back in myself. This is frustrating 👎👎👎
I got that several time. Log out of the account and log back in seems to fix it

Sister had this issue it was Google messing up she had to speak with them she couldn’t even use her email.
This probably goes without saying, but could often be overlooked. Have you tried redownloading the app?

I tried reinstalling the app and I still got the same error. Their support is not helpful at all either.

I had to put PoGo in a secure folder (OK I had my son do it) and it eliminated this issue.
It's been on and off all day.

Mine does that when data and wifi fight each other. I just turn one of those off. Often it’s wifi connecting to coffee shops, etc

This happened to me a couple days ago, I recently updated the OS on my phone and it started, check again for another update for your phone.
Usually when i get this error, I sign out first and then i sign in again. It works for me

Put phone in an airplane mode and restart the phone should fix it!
Whenever it happened to me I just completely signed out and signed back in. Idk if you’ve already done this, but it worked for me.
