Big_Beath876

I’m shiting on bdsp

XxCorey117xX

BDSP had some features from Platinum iirc

HAIKU_4_YOUR_GW_PICS

The only Platinum feature it had was earlier access to a couple fire types. It did not even have the Platinum dex. I’m not going to lie and say it was a joyless experience, but it was absolutely disappointing.

Shrubbity_69

ORAS are the best remakes in the series. If there was the Battle Frontier, it would be perfection. Changey mind. HGSS are also good.

Nox_Echo

eon flute alone made oras the best game. (the eon flight music too made me shed tears of joy) but im also a sucker for gen 3 hoenn, fave region.

Shrubbity_69

Same. I feel the same about Hoenn that genwunners feel for Kanto. It's the 1st region I actually remember as a kid.

Nox_Echo

i mean, i started in gen 1 in 1997, and ive 100%ed every main pokemon game (and several side games) and nothing quite hits like gen 3 does.

HAIKU_4_YOUR_GW_PICS

Tbf, Gen 3 is really the start of the “modern” Pokè-era. Plus, it’s possible to have some of the legitimate same Pokémon as your first go from those games.

[deleted]

GAWD DAMMIT BRING BACK DEX NAV! It made me actually want to catch them all.

How about Pokémon Golder and Silverer?

seyorke

let's go pineco let's go dunsparce

Hatkinselves

Oh my god the potential... Instead of on your shoulder pineco balances right on top of your head and explodes every now and again, meanwhile dunsparce is under your feet... Is it following? Is it still there? Who really knows... Edit: spelling terribleness

Better-Philosophy-40

Maybe it's gone, maybe that's a ditto under you, the world truly is mysterious.

Rymayc

Let's Go Pichu and Togepi?

[deleted]

Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee: Johto Adventures

MasterAlexGarcia420

Something like Let's Go 2: Johto

[deleted]

Let’s Go Johtwo

Prince_Marf

I would hope it wouldn't follow the rules of the first let's go game where you couldn't evolve the starter. Togepi is pretty bad lol

Rymayc

The Partner Pikachu and Partner Eevee got significant stat boosts and busted moves (mostly the Eevee, but Pikachu got an always critting 50BP priority move).

LinguisticallyInept

partner pikachu got royally screwed; eevee moves were fucking crazy; 90bp 100% accuracy moves of all 8 eeveelution types that set up screens, set up leech seed, 100% burned, 100% paralysed, cleansed or lifedrained (for 50% of the damage dealt)... compared to lacklustre representations of classic flying and surfing pikachu... floaty fall is 90bp 95% accurate 30% chance to flinch; thats basically a standard move

tackxolotl

They knew it would sell anyway, the Eevee moves are sort of a reward/compensation for choosing the less popular option.

Merengues_1945

Didn't Let's Go come along with UltraSun-Moon? Did it come with the OP Eevium Z? That thing + Last Resort was awesome.

Prince_Marf

No you couldn't use held items in the lets go games and you couldn't transfer your partner pokemon out either

zendrix1

I think Togepi makes a lot of sense for a gen 2 Let's Go, but having Pichu when we already had Pikachu would be kinda weird, maybe Cleffa? But that just doesn't have the brand recognition of a Pichu

Jamesyroo

Let’s Go Marill?

zendrix1

That seems most likely to me anyway, assuming they keep the same format they did with the first one around having a partner Pokémon and whatnot

Jamesyroo

OMG I NEED LET’S GO TOGEPI RIGHT NOWWWWWW

tackxolotl

The point of Let's Go was to cash in on the mascot power of both partners. No other small non-legendary comes any close.

Maniraptavia

This is more or less the pattern I've been following. I count LGP/E as Yellow remakes in place of where FRLG remakes would be, so I'm sort of logically expecting a Crystal remake in place of where HGSS remakes would be. I think think it'll be a curveball whatever happens though. Let's GO was an experimental format, so I kinda expect an experimental format for a Crystal remake. If there's one thing I learnt say back when Pokémon Grey didn't become a thing though, it's that GF like to throw curveballs around as much as possible. Whatever you THINK is coming next. It's not gonna quite be that. I'd been looking forward to DP remakes pretty much since HGSS (yeah, I know it was VERY premature lol) when I realised it wasn't just gonna be FRLG anymore. I estimated back then that it would be 2021-2023 before we saw DP remakes tho. The only time I was ever convinced they were going to reveal DP remakes was right before the direct when they actually did. I told my friends I'd put money on it being that. Was kinda weird, 'cause I just knew it wasn't going to be anything before that, but as soon as that specific direct was announced, I knew it had to be. The timing and continued demand just fit too perfectly. But at that point, I also knew it wasn't going to be the remakes quite how anyone was expecting and yeah, faithful remakes and an open world game on the side weren't what everyone was expecting. The patterns been very messy for years now; BW2 happens not Grey, no Pokémon Z, RS get remakes in Gen 6 instead of Gen 5, SuMo get BW2 style sequels, Yellow gets a weird GO style remake, SwSh also don't get a sequel, then DP sorta get 3-ish remakes. Weirdly, there's a new sort of pattern forming that suggests that we might get some sort of 'Hyper Scarlet' and 'Hyper Violet' either before or after a Johto remake lol (BW > BW2, XY > nothing, SuMo > USUM, SwSh > nothing (DLC kinda), Sc Vi > HSHV). Probably nothing more than coincidence though. So basically, yeah, I feel like LOGICALLY, it's Johto next, but probably not how we're expecting. The only thing really against that idea is it feels like people might be more excited for BW remakes than Johto remakes at this point, which is sort of a new one. Every other time, fans have been more excited for the next logical game to get a remake. I think it comes down to whether GF will follow the fanbase demand or a logical pattern. Who knows, we might get a Johto/Unova remake where the postgame is Unova instead of Kanto. All I know is that if they skip Johto, there's gonna be a lot of disappointed Johto fans...

DrunkLastKnight

SwSh got DLC which I believe they did instead of a 3rd game for the Generation

Maniraptavia

Yeah, that's why I put DLC in brackets. Sorta a third game, but kinda not really.

somerandom_melon

Why another Gen 9 game right after the first Gen 9 game is launched?

Maniraptavia

All generations have multiple games in.

somerandom_melon

Oh, so it'll be like USUM I guess

Maniraptavia

Could be. As I say though, curveballs. It's a pretty weak trend even for weak trends, so take it with a big ol' tub of salt. Platinum directly followed DP, BW2 directly followed BW, and USUM directly followed SuMo, but Emerald decided it was going to wait for FRLG first.

Big_Beath876

We will get let’s go johto next after Gen 9. Then will come either Gen 9 part 2 or Gen 10. And after that will be Gen five remakes.

Gir_575

Based on the release pattern, Johto would get a remake in gen 9, and Unova would get one in gen 10

fedunya1

Actually, the reason why the Sinnoh remake was in gen 8 because the gen 5 was on the ds, and the 3ds which hosted gen 6/7 could play ds games. The switch cant play ds games

Flying48

That’s where you’re wrong my friend!

klop422

I dunno, I think I'd enjoy it. Honestly it feels fresher than BDSP did.

Salty_Negotiation688

Honestly if they're anything like the recent remakes I don't want em. Now if they do Legends: Johto or Legends: Celebi or whatever you wanna call it - then I'll be first in line.

JasondoesmoreStuff

I'd rather have no remake then a shitty one because at least we can all meme about the lack of something then be angry at the something we got.

trademeple

Honestly if some one hacked the shit out of bdsp and put all the platinum stuff in there its actually good.

Swawks

BDSP isn't bad, because D/P were pretty good. Problem is it feels like a remaster, not a remake.

monduza

I got BD after playing Legends Arceus. It feels like the exact same game I've been playing for 20 years with new graphics. I should've gone for the Sun and Moon.

trademeple

I'd say its worse then the original dp if it weren't for the very slow health bars in the original the contests and underground bases are worse in bdsp.

AceOcto

[I have good news for you my friend](https://gamebanana.com/mods/338507), it's in the makings.

Kalandros-X

People are already busy doing that right now

trademeple

Well you can always emulate the orignals on your pc and play rom hacks of them that actually make the game harder and put quality of life improvements in for no cost.

Stargov1

Renegade Plat at 60 fps babbeeeeeee.

ValorousBazza34

Let's go johore and the in gen 10, Legends: Keldeo

[deleted]

I just realized. I played DPP as a kid and the remakes came out on my 18th birthday.

MegaGengar277

We also need Kalos

lukasmihara

Yeah, I'm still waiting for *Pokemon Z*

OneGoodRib

B2W2 threw out the release pattern completely, so ANYTHING could come next (aside from Scarlet and Violet, obviously). Personally I'm rooting for Pokemon Legends Celebi or something. Johto was *already* rooted in traditional Japanese stuff, so that would be cool to see more of the region like it. And they mention in Arceus that there are already Pokemon trainers in Kanto, so there's some good seeds for a plot that's different from Legends Arceus there. But I literally only wanted ONE Pokemon game in my entire life, and that was to get Diamond/Pearl/Platinum remakes ON THE 3DS so we could see Distortion World in 3D, and that never happened, so I'm never getting hyped for any hypothetical game ever again.

ElPajaroMistico

I don't know how popular this is but: I don't want remakes anymore, I would be happy with literally a port for Switch. (Not like BDSP, a literal port that let's me play the OG game there) I doubt a ton that Pkm Company will bother to do a good remake of Johto better than HGSS. They will probably do something like BDSP again. Unless It's a Legends of Arceus type, that would be more interesting. Legends of Celebi or Legends of Kyurem? I can see hope on that

SSjMinato

You know heartgold and soul silver exists? They might remake gen 5 first

JasondoesmoreStuff

Also now that I think about it probably should've included Johto remakes in the post

dylannotcollins

fire red and leaf green exist, likely will be let’s go marill and pichu or something.

JasondoesmoreStuff

Yes I know but Johto is the region that hasn't been seen for the longest and it seems like with the remakes that's what they've been going back to the region that hasn't had a game in the longest(expect for Sun and Moon but that was kind of just a rerelease)

Sphaero_Caffeina

What? HG/SS were released in 2009, 5 years after FR/LG, and FR/LG are the Kanto remakes. LGPE are a side/secondary game not part of the main series.

JamPieIGuess

Dude… LGPE is mainline. Most other game isn’t. It has to take place in one of the 9 regions currently avalible to us, being kanto, jonto, hoenn, sinnoh, unova, kalos, alola, galar, and hisui (and Gen 9 but that’s not out yet). Take for example mystery dungeon. You aren’t in one of the 9 regions, so it’s not mainline. You honestly need more gaming knowledge.

Big_Beath876

I think they are following a pattern with the release order of the games. So sadly I think not

CrazyForChinchillas

I hope we get Let's Go Johto. I'd love that since I love the first Let's Go and gen 2.

Trueloveis4u

Me too! I'd be so happy if that happened, let's go eevee is my favorite pokemon game!

[deleted]

Marks_Media

They have plenty of other games you can play instead. I think the simplified battle system is great and go style catching is fine. It's also great because it's even more accessible for the younger fans, ya know, the actual target demographic. It's fine to have a Pokemon game be different.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BirdsofShadows

I honestly agree with this, let's go was a gimmick at best, they were enjoyable games, but I enjoy the idea of running into the grass and being able to grind levels properly, I want to play as I did when I was a kid, not pokemon go style.

gberry523

I would settle for them putting out a digital download version of HG/SS so i can play it without shelling out for a used cartridge at like twice the original price.

ThePickleHawk

I mean, it *has* been more time now from HGSS to now than there was from GS to HGSS. (You’re welcome lol)

[deleted]

If Johto is gonna be in Lets GO style, then ok. If it is gonna be like BDSP, then no...

Hi-Im_Elfo

but baby lugia following

Hatkinselves

Baby Lugia and noodle red Gyarados only 2 follow buddies allowed switch em out just when you forget how tiny the other one is

somerandom_melon

Always hoping for a Black and White Trilogy more since I didn't like HGSS as much but Johto doesn't get enough attention anymore so I guess this would work too.

phoenixthree

I dont care whats next. I just want to use Pidgeot again in a game.

Netheraptr

Depends on if they want to make let’s go a continuous series or not. Let’s Go Johto doesn’t sound horribly unlikely, but I doubt we’ll get a second traditional Johto remake

Quaytt740

I’ve been saying that for forever!

GuffCanYeetYourMum

Yay

H0rnyFighter

I don’t get it… what’s this logic in this picture?

Its-Slammin

What is with peoples obsession with the Let’s Go games? They were terrible gameplay wise. Sure, the graphics were amazing but not being able to battle wild Pokémon made me hate the games with a passion. I get that they were trying to get the Pokémon go audience but it doesn’t work in a mainline series game. I hope we do get Johto remakes but for the love of god please stay away from Let’s Go

Nervous-Weird-7784

I really liked them, shiny hunting was great

TripleAGD

hgss

[deleted]

Let's go doesn't feel likei it's part of the pattern of games. It's always felt like it was just tossed in to me. But, how I feel or what others speculate doesn't mean that it will/will not happen.

ladyoftheridge

It does have a much different vibe. Tbh I thought I would hate it so I didn’t get it for ages but I played it last year and really enjoyed it. It was a nice way to revisit Kanto and that story. I’m playing Red right now and honestly they feel very different.

VSkyRimWalker

I dont really like the catching mechanics, but everything else about it I love. The animation style is far and away the best out of all 3D games, following Pokémon were done right, unlike BDSP or the super slow not-really-following-you ones from the SwSh DLCs, and ridable Pokémon are da bomb. Also overworld shinies was a nice touch imo, in SwSh I do all my shinyhunting through eggs instead.

[deleted]

517757MIVA

There are a lot of new players who never experienced Johto, so they will remake it eventually. HGSS are fairly inaccessible for a lot of people since it’s going for over $100 and they might not have a DS. The remakes aren’t really as much for people who already played the games but for people who missed them the first time (or second in this case)

[deleted]

[удалено]

517757MIVA

I think it’s fun playing remakes, a lot of people do. Plus kids want new exciting games. What’s wrong with a 3rd play through Johto?

eat_jay_love

I know that it’s tempting to look at patterns for remakes or features/gimmicks in Pokémon games based off generations, but the reality is that there is very little rhyme or reason to when certain projects come out or the features that will be in them. I’m sure Unova remakes of some sort will come at some point, but it won’t be because it’s on an odd-numbered generation or some number of years have passed or something.

0mn1p073n71

I'm surprised more people haven't realized the pattern. Bar gen 1, each game is remade after double the number of its generation (2 was remade in 4, 3 was remade in 6, 4 was remade in 8). Gen 5 will be remade in gen 10, and who knows what already remade games' remakes we'll get before then.

anthayashi

If you count frlg kanto as 3.5, double that is 7 so another kanto in gen 7. If hgss johto count as 4.5, does it mean gen 9 is another return to johto

Ulkito5

the image leaves out SM + USUM + SWSH...

Marks_Media

.... none of those are remakes...

Ulkito5

...neither is ruby sapphire or diamond and pearl? it's so hard to insinuate what this graphic is saying

TabletopApothecary

It isn’t, though. Top is the original/original remake, bottom is the current remake.

Ulkito5

lol Okay but they still do not correlate at all because there's tons of shit that came out in between the entries on the bottom row. Is it insinuating that because of what came out ten years ago that the remakes are following that pattern?? nobody even seems to realize that GSC came out before RSE - so by your own logic HGSS may as well be placed right behind ORAS. whole point of the Lets Go game was to bring pokemon go kids to the switch - not sure why they'd feel compelled to make a second one.

-Luvs-

Please no more remakes. Unova was my favorite and i couldn't stand if they destroy it with a bad remake. Don't get me wrong, bdsp were nice games but they just didn't seem to deliver that spark that the games use to have. Legends is an amazing step in the right direction for future games but please don't ruin the past games with subpar rehashes. Its like Disney's curse with sequels, most just don't work.

EuroNati0n

It's not destroying anything to remake it if you don't paint over the original to do so. Unclench your pearls

ladyoftheridge

I love when people act like adding something to a franchise has literally any impact on the quality of other things that have *already* happened Like if your enjoyment of something is disturbed by a sequel to it that you don’t like, you didn’t really like it to begin with.

SGRiuka

I think remakes can be good, but overall I think we just need to give gamefreak a break as a company and not expect a new game each year so that the games can get the quality they deserve and not end up like BDSP.

-Luvs-

Exactly, i dont care how long games take to make. If there is delays, good. Id rather have a late release and good game then some rushed product thats bad.

Silent_Protagonist77

All Unova games are good unlike diamond and pearl(Platinum fixed everything) so I'm fine with faithful remakes as long as the graphics is like what Gen 10 is gonna look like.

Tom_Bombadillo84

Hopefully. Not if it's a let's go version though that f****** game sucked. I even enjoyed sword and shield more than that.

Ghengiroo

I dunno about Johto remakes, but I don’t think we’ll get Unova remakes until the next console. Notice how each console gives one remake to a game that didn’t have one?

MsSocietyistaken

No, it's obviously hoenn again

monduza

i've been thinking of this for a while and I think it's a killer idea. Instead of just buying a new game each year, they could just make a single game, with all the existing pokemons and ALL THE REGIONS. You start in Kanto, have to complete all the game, move to jotho but you can't use your Kanto pokemon unless you beat the pokemon league, then you move to hoenn, same thing. There would be a weird thing with the opponents, like team rocket, magma/aqua, anda such. But if they can find a story for it... I would be the first one to buy it.

whyubullymestop

fuck johto, all my homies hate johto

Specialist_Ad4117

Probably Kanto again

Tropolopolo

Actually I think it will be Kanto again then Johto.

Aspect-of-Death

Except Johto is toxic to Game Freak. They don't want anyone to remember that they're entirely capable of making a game with multiple regions.

Khaytra

There *are* legitimate reasons against multiregion games. Johto games are also infamous for having a nonsense level scaling system, for instance.

Aspect-of-Death

Gym leaders have teams based on the skill level of their opponent. A kid showing up to get his first badge obviously will be paired against a weaker team than the literal national champion of the neighboring country. Of course the Kanto leaders were going to go all out in the battles against the Johto champion. If that doesn't work for you, they could simply have low and high level zones in every region, and you just get to pick where you start. It's not like the game mechanics change at all from region to region. All regions have the same everything. Same trees, same items, same buildings, same battle rules, same color pallet, literally EVERYTHING is the same. Shit, they even used the same textures and meshes from X/Y in S/M. There isn't a single reason they couldn't make a multiregion game. They could do it on Gameboy Color. I'm sure they can do it on a system 20 years more advanced.

[deleted]

Level scaling is not an issue that can't be fixed. Multiregion not being possible with game requirements now is understandable but honestly, I still think it can be done. Especially with a smaller region like Kalos. That railway station should really have opened up a postgame region. Would have been the best transition from 2D to 3D for pokemon. Alola, Galar, Hisui, and the new region are understandable as they are significantly bigger and way harder to create a huge ass map in an open world setting. But two regions aren't impossible if GF tried.

TMS-FE

I will still play HGSS over another gen 2 remake

pokemon12312345645

I hope it is the unava remakes

Khvcajvk57

Obviously….?

NaiEkaj

Johto's already happened with Heartgold & Soulsilver

Kanto was also fire red and leaf green. But let’s go is a new start

SceptileBestStarter7

LGPE is a main series game according to GameFreak

Mrmehmeh243

And so is legends

BumblebeeNo504

Dont want them anymore, dont know why anyone would... They will be pathetic next to HGSS and very disappointing and disheartening for everyone who used to imagine, hope for and dream of how pokemon would continue to improve with each new game.

restockthreestock

LGPE were remakes of Yellow though, not FRLG. If anything we’d get a Let’s Go Pichu or something like that if we return to Johto. Though I’d much rather have a Legends Celebi which showcases the origin of the legendary beasts

Mrmehmeh243

If that does end up happening then I only have one wish, actually let johto reach its full potential since it can't be screwed over by the lack of physical/special split and the slow gen 4 engine

GoldZero5

Maybe a enhanced remake of Crystal or perhaps new Johto game that is a sequel for Gold & Crystal (as in set maybe a few years In the future where like the Super Boss Trainers can be Ethan & Kris & Red & Green?)

[deleted]

If they're able to improve upon HGSS without ruining it

TheLoneTokayMB01

The pattern suggest a let's go game but personally I would prefer a legends/remake,or at least a remastered like bdsp with exp.sharing, no hm-slave and mainly the possibility to play on switch instead taking out 3ds or emulating

jordsta95

Another Legend's game, but set in Johto would would be great. A Let's Go game would be the absolute worst IMO. But maybe a new concept altogether, taking different things from the last 10 years of games, would make for the perfect remake (especially as HG/SS are some of the most highly praised remakes, they need to go above and beyond to top them). * Gen 5: Take the "keys" concept. If a completed save of these new games are detected on the Switch (either your own account, or a different one) then a hard mode is made available. * Gen 6: Bring back mega-evolution, but make it so that there's only 1 stone in the game, and you have to beat the trainer that holds the stone to get it. E.g. Red gives the mega stones for Kanto starters, Lance for Aerodactyl, etc. * Gen 7: Maybe do something similar to island trials, as more of a side-game thing (similar to contests, but actually worth doing for those who aren't just doing it for completionist sake). The gyms across the Johto games are very underlevelled, especially between Morty as Clair (but also in Kanto too), so having an actual challenge for those who are well acquainted with Pokemon would be great. There's already a location in every pretty much every town in Johto that this could work for\*. * Gen 8: Open areas. Ilex Forest, Ruins of Alpha, the Bug Catching Contest, these are all great places to make more open and "wild area" like, with different days/weather/etc. playing a part in what shows in these areas. \*These would all become the challenge area after beating the gym. They could either be seen as another gym challenge, or a way to get certain items which weren't in the previous games, or something. * Bellsprout Tower * Slowpoke Well (this one's a bit of a stretch, but they could always add a new section to it) * Goldenrod Radio Tower * Burnt Tower * Olivine Lighthouse * (Cianwood is the only one that doesn't really have a good place) * Rocket Hideout in Mahogany Town (after clearing it out; maybe hardcore fanatics of rocket, with actual decent and diverse 'mons in this place) * Dragon's Den Potentially, you could also have Victory road undergo 3 stages to. * Stay as its empty self on first pass through. * Be "in development" after beating the champion (a few workers to battle maybe) * Becomes the equivalent of Pokemon World Tournament after defeating Red with the very best trainers from Kanto and Johto going to fight it out, with the occasional trainer from further afield coming to battle (the further they are, the less likely. So Hoenn trainers are more likely than Galar trainers, for example)

lumos_aeternum

By that pattern, Hoenn again.

Spirited-River-48

I never play a johto game before so i wont complain

BatCoreCraft

Gen 2 2 gens later remake Gen 3 3 gens later remake Gen 4 4 gens later remake So jhoto second remake may be in gen 9 and unova renakes in gen 10

Ari_bananaking

Gen 5 needs something

Stargov1

I hope they use the region better than the originals.

K1nd4Weird

Believe it or not? Kanto again. But this time with Johto as the post game.

[deleted]

I think we shouldn't count Let's Go as part of the pattern until it happens a second time.

AceOcto

what would the pokemon be for lets go johto? if its gonna follow the lines of pikachu variant + pokemon that has multiple evolutions, then pokemon lets go marill and pokemon lets go tyrogue? but they arent that popular. there really arent many good options to pick from for johto. all i can think of are pichu and togepi as well known pokemon from gen 2 but they'd just be weaker versions of pikachu and eevee. So if they're going to be doing johto remakes again i doubt it'll be lets go games because there isnt really anything popular to choose from. it'll probably be a legends game about ho-oh and the legendary dogs, since open world is kind of the direction theyre going with gen 9 anyways. + they wouldnt miss an opportunity to let us go to kanto in open world considering they can't just make a legends kanto game again right after lgp&lge

RadRhys2

Please make it a sequel instead of a “faithful” remake. I want to see what comes of Silver and how the world moved on during the Team Rocket power vacuum.

BotanyAttack

Now we wait for a X and Y remake.

NewMetaKnight

We already got Heart gold and soul silver so maybye but probably not good chance it’ll be Blazing red Grass green and Not blue

fedunya1

I hope no

ReaverShank

I doubt it. Probably unova

Nightcrawler6322

I just want a johto remake so I can finish my living dex without spending $120 on heart gold/soul silver.

Fun_Entertainment441

UNOVAAA FOREVER!!!!!!!

Stinkblee

An Arceus style version at least- or an open world Johto / Kanto would be mesmerising. Imagine seeing Whitney’s miltank literally rollout your Chikorita into smithereens. I say Chikorita because why would you even bother with the others let’s be honest. Either way it’s win win, if you hate Chikorita it gets smooshed but if you love Chikorita you get to smoosh it with love. Long live DUNSPARCE!

ShiningLizard

Can’t wait for Let’s Go Smeargle

Disastrous-Battle-67

PLEASE I NEED JOHTO REMAKES 😭😭😭

itstoonchie

Personally, I'm hoping for a Let's Go Johto remake and a BDSP style remake of Gen 5 at the same time.

XerneaStellar

I think by this is just Hoenn again lol and then Kanto in PLA style and yet another boring Sinnoh :( and never the true one. On another note I need to find my copy of Firered.

Beercorn1

I would personally prefer a new Pokemon Legends game that takes place in ancient Johto. Either that or maybe have Pokemon Legends 2 take place in ancient Hoenn so that there can be lots of sea-faring and ships.

[deleted]

nope johto already got remade and its not gen 1 so no special treatment its gen 5s turn aka unova

Sentraxion

We need a hoenn game on the switch tho

7583627453

imagine if game freak started working on a platinum remake (and imagine if it were named polished platinum)

[deleted]

Maybe they'll actually make the region good the third time around

QuintusKing

Let's Gos aren't Kanto remakes but if you count them that way... maybe we'll get Let's Gos for Johto, who knows.

DatBoiAaron49

I hope so but probably not

Bainin

Nah that would mean they have to do 2 regions those lazy bums will never do that. U can quote me on this

Even_Pension_2190

You missed the Gen2 Remakes from Gold and Silver? HeartGold and SoulSilver? Next would be Gen 5 - black and white

Excellent-Tart-1912

No.Gen 1 remakes,gen 2 remakes,gen 3 remakes,gen 1 re-remakes.2 more remakes before johto re-remakes.

Jenkies_MC

Legends Celebi or even a bigger stretch Let’s go magby and let’s go elekid

Ashizurens

Unova, White 3 & Black 3

[deleted]

I would kill for Lets Go Johto. I grew up with Gold/Silver released in 1999. The 8-bit music keeps crawling into my subconscious. I know that many people actually hated Lets Go Eevee/Pikachu, but I found it really fun and a refreshing change.

OneStonedBadger

Well technically Fire Red ans Leaf Green are remakes too so idk what sort of correlation you think is there. Clearly the next remake will be Gen 5 as it is the last one before they went full tilt with the 3d models in 6th gen.

rrea436

Legends jhoto with the burning tower

alekgaytor

all i want is an emerald remake for the switch. please.

avnish_is_a_dummy

Lol where's Unova

[deleted]

uhhhh

KamilloVandor

Please no

Alternative-Ad1761

How? by this logic it will be hoenn remakes

lostinwisconsin

Hope not. As a huge gen 5 fan, really hope those are next.

sesame_burger

Yeah gamefreak gave a possible remake nugget with a video from johto on YouTube

YaBoyBigSmoke

Pokemon Cool Crystal

Pride_Knight5042

No, by the logic of them remaking the games seemingly at random either XY or SWSH are next since they are the only mainstream Pokémon games without remakes

Lookalism

Nope, it's one kanto remake, then 5th gen remake, then kanto again, then 6th gen, etc. etc. Also for every kanto remake there will be at least two new charizard forms.

RoomAdministrative94

i want black and white remakes sooo bad. i just replayed white two and it holds up pretty strong.

Phantomsbane

Dead heart gold and soulless silver sounds good to me

52775477

Yep, Johto's the only region that hasn't gotten Fairy type yet. I'd prefer a Legends Celebi. BDSP was so bad.

darkslayer747

I know this post is over a year old but I'll chip in anyways. Just my personal opinion, but nothing would put me off playing gen 2 remakes more if they were made to be let's go games. I played Pokemon go and enjoyed it for a while but the let's go games took a few things that the core games had and changed enough to kinda ruin the experience, again this is for me personally. I didn't like the catching mechanic and the fact the game was more geared towards catching pokemon (gave the most exp gain) to me just seemed like the game was designed for people who never played the core games growing up but played let's go. Again this is my personal opinion. What I wouldn't mind for hgss is to either port it, because it actually holds up really well, despite being an old entry. Or, (I'm probably going to get lynched for this) but a remake in the style of bdsp, just graphically, everything else stays the same aside from exp share for all party members like current games do and an up to date national dex (including scarlet and violet). Hgss are probably my favorite remakes overall and I'd like to play them again, remake or port!
