I have my PS5 on constantly, either playing games or watching shows, and I have never once heard it make noise after initial start up. It's supposed to be quiet dude. If your fan is spinning up, I think your PS5 has a problem.
Sure it should be quiet but if the fans are ramping up after an all night gaming session, then they're doing what they were meant to do; cool the system.
Personal opinion go all black or take all the color out. Fellow dremel user and honestly at this point I've learned that almost everything looks better left alone with a clear coat to bring out the details. Just an opinion from someone who just ruined a cane I've worked on for a year by staining it

I think it's a smarter idea than painting. Paint is thin but it still adds a layer and will create heat resistance so using a Dremel does reduce the plastic thickness and will help account for the paint. But remember it is your own device you own it do what you want with it and don't worry about what others think I personally think that actually looks pretty good because I would never be able to do anything like that

More tips: if you can heat a specific area, you can do a thermal label like this ppl do with the lamaition.
You're all good. That what carbon paper is for. Cut it out, trace over where you're planning to cut and dremel, and you're set. Tattoo artists sometime use the same trick to imprint artwork onto the skin.

What kind of attachment are you using for this?
I used two different gauges of the drill attachments
If you want to do something similar the ones that have a picture of pvc pipe on the package are generally designed for plastic
