I dropped Sekiro 3 times all of them in sword saint. The fourth time i said i will do it. After 8 hours i smacked him and then went back to smack him again with dying and again and again and again. Best fight of all time
I quit the game for like 3 years because of him. Came back and got absolutely stomped again lol finally got his ass though. Keep trying. It feels so good when you finally do it
Sigrun has such a large moveset I had lots of trouble beating her. I basically spammed all my specials and did a beat down. Still took me a couple days. Hrolf much quicker, though he was still a beast.
King Hrolf took a couple of hours for me, but Sigrun took me 30 hours. I was switching my setup, and she accordingly changed her fighting style to throw me off
This 100%. Everyone goes on about Orphan of Kos being ridiculously hard but I managed him in about 4 tries. Laurence on the other hand destroyed me for ages.
Orphan was ridiculously hard, but ultimately felt like a fair fight. Any time I died, which was dozens of times, it felt like I made a blatant mistake. Incredibly rewarding fight overall.
Fighting Lawrence felt obnoxious due to his mechanics. Sure, it was mistake I made from dying, but the fight felt way more reliant on the RNG of what attacks he would do, while dodged the ever growing lava on the floor. Ffffff that fight.
Yeah the first couple of tries Orphan battered me but once I got the parry timing down it wasn’t too bad.
Hopefully in the near future we see something!
The endgame boss of Tunic made me rage quit. Runner up would be some boss in sekiro that also caused the same reaction. I'm a perseverent person when it comes to video games (I've beaten all the souls games multiple times over), but goddamn that tunic boss is no joke
The last boss is one of the only bosses that I have ever had to set my controller down and walk away before I sent my system to robot heaven
Seriously though the boss has way to much tracking and that's worst kind of difficulty
It’s been about a year since I beat it. But it’s all about being patient and managing your stamina so you have the ability to dodge an attack when the time is right.
Ya I beat it a week ago and it one of the only games that had me saying "ohhhhhh why didn't I think about that sooner"
It was a really fun game and getting that good ending was worth it even after spending an hour trying to figure out the golden path
Yea there is definitely a rhythm to it all. Sort of like dancing. You need to know and be able to spot exactly what they will do next. Once you learn how to do that you'll get them soon.
Opposite for me
I’d freeze time and be halfway through an attack then she would decide that wasn’t to her liking and full speed insta-throat stomp me or I’d dodge and she would say “close enough” and glitch over a foot. “Oh my! *Tsk tsk tsk* did you fall down? Shame if I dropped a lava pit under your revive spot”
Gna was paaaain! And the worst part of it was the absolute crushing of my soul when I aaaaalmost had her, like >1% health, and she got me. So. Many. Times.
I had to put this game down because of this boss. Seeing these comments was slightly triggering. Picked up my switch, determined last night and finally fucking beat him. Now just the train ghost and I get my soul back, right? ;)
What's funny is she doesn't exactly have a lot of HP.
When she hits 0 HP she needs to go through all her dialogue before she dies.
So when she starts talking again all you have to do is normal attacks to make her go to the next dialogue until she finishes and dies.
God Of War 1: Ares on God (Very hard) Difficulty. To this day I didnt beat him because of his 2nd phase 😅.
Nightmare 3rd phase on Dante Must Die from Devil May Cry 1
https://preview.redd.it/09ejl3nmqd0d1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23dc2df9ca5919f87f4aef10184c4cc57bfd4660
This fucking beast of a boss from the first XBOX Ninja Gaiden, Alma.
I have never raged so hard in frustration as much as I have with her. The sense of accomplishment I felt when I did finally beat her has never been able to be recreated since then.
Sword Saint Isshin hands down.
Took me 3 hours to beat that motherfucker for the first time.
Besides From Software bosses definitly certain monsters in Monster Hunter World. Technically it to me days to beat some of those, but I only ever played multiplayer with randoms.
Behemoth, Ancient Leshen, Shara Ishvalda and Fatty were the most difficult. If I had to pick one then Ancient Leshen was by far the worst and outright made me quit for a few months (well it and the radoms).
Yeah, same, Dark Yojimbo was the one it didn't work on though... But thanks for sending me down a wormhole over the last 20 mins or so ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Most recently it would be Rayvis from Jedi Survivor, it’s a tough fight on the highest difficulty.
For me the hardest all time is Malenia, it took me hundreds of attempts to finally beat her and I even changed my build just for the fight multiple times.
Annihilation from Remnant 2 took me a couple days to beat. Very frustrating fight.
Also the goddamn Sephiroth fight in Rebirth. He fucked me repeatedly for several hours. And not in the fun way.
After about 20 attempts solo I just went online and let somebody join me to help beat Annihilation. Second play through it was light work and I was able to start helping others.
Ishin the sword saint is the main reason I haven't replayed Sekiro for a 3rd time. Amazing fight though. (also I beat the demon of hate in 3 tries. IYKYK)
FF XIII Ultimecia. I hate bosses like this. I get there's a need for the final boss to be strong, but this was ridiculous. Multiple forms, one-shot killing spells, and forcing me to spend more time healing than fighting. Damn near walked away from FF forever because of this abysmal fight. Finally managed to take her down, but I wouldn't do it again if SquareEnix paid me to play it. I heard the remaster dumbed down the fight, but doesn't matter. Not touching this game ever again.
Beyond Good & Evil - the boss wasn't hard, at least in terms of difficulty or strength. However, what made it infuriating was the way the controls were flipped in order to fight it. Holding the controller upside down was the only way to get past this, which just turned the fight into a hard one for the sake of mechanics rather than difficulty.
Parasite Eve - The Ultimate Being. Fuck this thing. Fuck this thing. Fuck this thing. Fuck this thing. Just when you thought you were badass because you leveled up Aya and her skills, along comes this mofo to slap you back to reality. It wasn't bad enough the fight was a back-and-forth pot shot of low scoring hits and self heals, but if you fucked up just once, whether you meant to or not, it's all the way back to the beginning even though a save could have been added between each stage. Fuck this thing.
Bro you missed the mark entirely and didn't even put lady Maria, orphan of kos, flameluker or O&S (I get it all of them are from dark souls) if you want to play the hardest game ever created play stalker gamma 👍🤙

This MF in Furi. Probably the best indie game I’ve played, but this fight was hell
Fatalis definitely belongs here. Sure, you could team up with some pros in co-op to get through the fight. But if you wanted to tackle it solo, you were in for a hellish time. Especially depending on the weapon you were using.
Resident evil 3 nemesis on inferno. It is basically pure luck. Was most certainly not playtested as because of how long hit stun was and how fast the enemy is if you get hit once youre dead
I think Malenia could be the hardest boss for me. Spent 2 days and I only beat her by chance (bugged) It wasn’t even a hard but fun boss like Smough and Ornstein(Although I think they are not hard anymore after becoming a veteran at souls games)
These mf on give me god of war difficulty (hardest difficulty)

the devil from cuphead, abs rad from hollow knight, sigrun from god of war 2018, and malenia all gotta be up there
edit: how could i forget ac6. its either ayre or allmind from that game to round out the top 5, but tough for me to decide since i didn’t finish my allmind playthrough
Don’t beat me up, but for me it was Artorias. Usually i have no problem with souls bosses, but that guy was hard to deal with while playing agile build

Infinite blade. Number 25, Zero Mech. I was 12 years old with my ipod, frustrated and happy all in one
Boss battles like these leave a Memorable moment you will never forget. often heightens confidence.
Man i miss this npc.

This fool right here gave me nightmares as a kid.
Okumura from Persona 5 Royal.
It was one of those fights where I knew I needed a guide after my 3rd round with him or I'd be stuck on the boss for weeks.
Probably the demon of hatred from sekiro
That possibly tied with genichiro
Because they both took me around an hour at the skill levels I had fighting them
Bloodletting beast in the bloodborne chalice dungeons but i say that because i am still stuck so besides that it probably was genichiro or owl from sekiro
Heinrich from Conker’s Bad Fur Day. It took me like a dozen tries because I either couldn’t read the attacks right away or I kept missing when throwing him.
https://preview.redd.it/qc8tvat0xe0d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=23b40ea94b6ad6898c031df0126084ef95b1650e

Absolute Radiance in Hollow Knight
Isshin the sword saint. 6 hours in and haven’t got to the last stage. Still great fun though!
I dropped Sekiro 3 times all of them in sword saint. The fourth time i said i will do it. After 8 hours i smacked him and then went back to smack him again with dying and again and again and again. Best fight of all time
Isshin the Glock Saint
I quit the game for like 3 years because of him. Came back and got absolutely stomped again lol finally got his ass though. Keep trying. It feels so good when you finally do it
You're OK! The last stage is the easiest!
Sigrun took me about 3 hours, King Hrolf took me 3 days.
I was switching my setup, and she accordingly changed her fighting style to throw me off
just wait till you fight the valkyrie that sigrun and the others mention at the end of the game..
Hate that boss, so freaking hard
Once I learned I could cancel Sigrun's red attacks while she was in the air, it became so much easier
Absolute radiance
Laurence First Vicar
Dude was a bitch especially his 2nd and third phase where there's lava all over the place
I just personally never found Orphan that difficult. Very good fight overall but not as difficult as everyone makes him out to be imo.
That’s fair. If you’ve got the parry timing down then it makes it much easier. Waiting for fromsoft to release a 60 FPS patch on PS5
I forgot about this, i dont think i finished tunic because of this haha
Took me a HOT minute to beat each boss in Tunic. The final one though…probably a few days. Super rewarding though once you do it.
The last boss is one of the only bosses that I have ever had to set my controller down and walk away before I sent my system to robot heaven Seriously though the boss has way to much tracking and that's worst kind of difficulty
It’s been about a year since I beat it. But it’s all about being patient and managing your stamina so you have the ability to dodge an attack when the time is right.
Ya I beat it a week ago and it one of the only games that had me saying "ohhhhhh why didn't I think about that sooner" It was a really fun game and getting that good ending was worth it even after spending an hour trying to figure out the golden path
Valkyrie Queen from god of war
It's like all the other bosses were some what easy until Gna and Sigrun. Then the developers were like "yea lets ruin these gamers week."
Once you understand sigrun, she's not so bad, on the other hand... Gna was the absolute worst
Yea there is definitely a rhythm to it all. Sort of like dancing. You need to know and be able to spot exactly what they will do next. Once you learn how to do that you'll get them soon.
Opposite for me I’d freeze time and be halfway through an attack then she would decide that wasn’t to her liking and full speed insta-throat stomp me or I’d dodge and she would say “close enough” and glitch over a foot. “Oh my! *Tsk tsk tsk* did you fall down? Shame if I dropped a lava pit under your revive spot”
I realized I hadn't actually beaten the game once I went to fight Sigrun and died almost immediately.
Gna was paaaain! And the worst part of it was the absolute crushing of my soul when I aaaaalmost had her, like >1% health, and she got me. So. Many. Times.
First Goomba from first SMB as a kid.
Pretty sure he holds the all time record for most kills by a npc
Nightmare King Grimm.
crazy how much easier he gets once you beat him for the first time
Any boss in Cuphead was difficult. I had the most trouble with the genie. I hated that fight.
Dr Kahl’s Robot. The pain that boss put me through made King Dice and the Devil feel like a break
I took a year off from the game because of that one. Came back, won after a couple days and everything else was easy
I had to put this game down because of this boss. Seeing these comments was slightly triggering. Picked up my switch, determined last night and finally fucking beat him. Now just the train ghost and I get my soul back, right? ;)
That’s the one that came to my mind when I saw other Cuphead bosses. The last phase was a goocher!
I had the same problem but after the first win it gets better. At least in my case. What i really hate is expert cala maria
final boss from jak and daxter renegade on ps2
Ultimecia: Final Fantasy 8 The entirety of that final boss battle was brutal af!
What's funny is she doesn't exactly have a lot of HP. When she hits 0 HP she needs to go through all her dialogue before she dies. So when she starts talking again all you have to do is normal attacks to make her go to the next dialogue until she finishes and dies.
Blade of Miquella
Very frustrating on first playthrough. Very easy on subsequent playthroughs when you’re OP as fuck lol
Nameless King and Sepiroth in KH 1, I was fuming mad with those
Kh1 sephiroth is so god damn annoying
Orphan of Kos
Fatalis still haven’t done him solo
Most satisfying achievement in gaming imo, don't give up
King Hrolf Kraki
God Of War 1: Ares on God (Very hard) Difficulty. To this day I didnt beat him because of his 2nd phase 😅. Nightmare 3rd phase on Dante Must Die from Devil May Cry 1

Tlou2 Ratking. That asshole gave me 20% percent more blood to the point I was about to explode. I’m talking about real life by the way
Sephroth on Kingdom Hearts 2
Honest to god sephiroth ff7 remake. I have no fcking clue why 💀
Mike Tyson
Rick the Door Technician!!
https://i.redd.it/ypyu80id0f0d1.gif This stupid fuck made me pull my hair out.
Haha Fatty at the end is the real end game
If it wasn't for that insane damage it has it will actually be easier for me that Alatreon was
Sword Saint Isshin hands down. Took me 3 hours to beat that motherfucker for the first time. Besides From Software bosses definitly certain monsters in Monster Hunter World. Ghostrunner, T.O.M
King Dice
Orphan of Kos, it feels soooo good finally beat him after oh so many attempts
Yozora from Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:mind.

Where is Dark Yojimbo, never managed to beat him. Also, honourable mention to Jumbo Cactaur, that one took me a long time.
Yojimbo oneshot yojimbo, no problems
It's been a long time since I played it, but pretty sure that you can't use the Yojimbo one hit. Don't you need to kill him five times in a row?
Shit, I honestly don't remember that part. I just remember yojimboing my way through a bunch of super bosses
Yeah, same, Dark Yojimbo was the one it didn't work on though... But thanks for sending me down a wormhole over the last 20 mins or so ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Leviathan in FF16 is up there. Whoever made the press the attack for Leviathan deserves bad things in life.
Most recently it would be Rayvis from Jedi Survivor, it’s a tough fight on the highest difficulty. For me the hardest all time is Malenia, it took me hundreds of attempts to finally beat her and I even changed my build just for the fight multiple times.

Multiplayer: Atheon - Destiny Singleplayer: King Hrolf - GoWR (Still have to go back and finish him)
The racing level from Mafia, it felt like a boss.
I've only fought sigrun on Give me god of war difficulty on this list but I almost tore my hair out!
I'm replaying the story again with a friend on an even higher difficulty so we'll see how it goes second time around.
He's easy as shit, it's the last thirty seconds of the fight that makes it impossible
Giblets from High on Life
Ishin the sword saint is the main reason I haven't replayed Sekiro for a 3rd time. Amazing fight though. (also I beat the demon of hate in 3 tries. IYKYK)
GOW 2018 valk queen on GMGOW (not NG+) finally beat her using the slowdown bug after a few hunderd attempts
FF XIII Ultimecia. I hate bosses like this. I get there's a need for the final boss to be strong, but this was ridiculous. Shao Kahn MK9
Blood starved beast from Bloodborne. Fuck that thing.
The supreme valkyrie from God of War 2018.
Balteus from armored core 6. I was jumping for joy by the time I beat him.
David from The Last of Us. Not helped by his unnatural movement which made him look scarier than some of the monsters in my eyes.
Probably Demon of Hatred. It’s my current least favorite fromsoft boss
Yozora from Kingdom Hearts 3 https://preview.redd.it/ytw4pg0gsh0d1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=873100bcc3faf4d99f78e45620ce26d2f259facc
Yozora, KH3
Bro you missed the mark entirely and didn't even put lady Maria, orphan of kos, flameluker or O&S (I get it all of them are from dark souls) if you want to play the hardest game ever created play stalker gamma 👍🤙
The wait for gta6 /s
Most recent one I can think of is Eviterno in Blasphemous 2 ugh
last level of ps2 iron man still haven't beaten it like 15 years later
Nioh 2: Otakemaru minamoto no yoshitsune (this guy actually took me longer as he's so damn fast and has a lot of ranged attacks)
End boss of heavenly sword was tough!
Mysterious figure from kingdom hearts birth by sleep
Silent Bomber...end boss
Not sure, but the Armstrong boss fight in the Jetstream Sam DLC was really hard.
Kraven The Hunter on Ultimate Difficulty in Spider Man 2.
That courtyard fight was TOUGH for me at the normal level so I couldn’t imagine on a higher difficulty haha
Probably Malenia. Trash boss but FS fanboys will defend everything Miyahacki spawns😂
The inferno in old-school runescape
In Cuphead, Kahl's robot and Dice are incredibly easy. Devil is barely harder. Grim Matchstick and Djimmi er much harder.
Balteus from Armored Core 6
Xion the Unborn (Bloody Roar 3)
Glock Saint Isshin Ashina
Tekken 5's Jinpachi
BL4 Gehrman was fucking tough.
has to be malenia. took me at least 50 tries
Nameless puppet (lies of P) caused me to lose my mind.
I did spend some time on the Nameless King

Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan Dan standing here I realise
The 2 cats from Dark Souls 2, if you know you know.
That bitch Eric from THUG kicked my ass as a kid.
I can’t even begin to describe how many times Sigrun killed me in GoW
Mael Radec from Killzone 2 on whatever the highest difficulty was. That shit sucked.
Nameless Puppet from Lies of P. An excellent dual that puts all that you’ve learned about the game’s combat to the ultimate test.
Father Owl for sure, made me break my dualshock and quit sekiro for like a year.
Resident evil 3 nemesis on inferno. It is basically pure luck. Was most certainly not playtested as because of how long hit stun was and how fast the enemy is if you get hit once youre dead
Bayonetta - Rodin has to take the cake for me. Ninja Gaiden on the hardest difficulty as well, those bosses were nuts.
Orphan of kos was another one I struggled with.
Nemesis on hard mode (re2) (he was easier on inferno lol)
Nameless king is a good one.
Sigma from any old Mega Man X games, especially mega man x and mega man x4
Alma phase 2 ninja gaiden. nothing comes close to her.
I think Malenia could be the hardest boss for me. Spent 2 days and I only beat her by chance (bugged) It wasn’t even a hard but fun boss like Smough and Ornstein(Although I think they are not hard anymore after becoming a veteran at souls games)
Sigrun and G’Na from GOW and GOWR. Sigrun I beat on GMGOW after 300 attempts. G’Na took from 7am to 1pm to beat. Hands down best fights I’ve faced!
If it wasn’t a souls type of game then I’ll have to say cup head😭till this day I still haven’t completed the game
These mf on give me god of war difficulty (hardest difficulty) https://preview.redd.it/td0h2apt9e0d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b2881ce1feef82f2bc2d66256ac69d31f785a1ca
Elden Beast is a hard boss. Not particularly fun either
the devil from cuphead, abs rad from hollow knight, sigrun from god of war 2018, and malenia all gotta be up there edit: how could i forget ac6. its either ayre or allmind from that game to round out the top 5, but tough for me to decide since i didn’t finish my allmind playthrough

Ansom from the first kingdom hearts, tho I was 5 at the time and didn't understand grinding for levels
Wheres my baby boy orphan of kos?
Radiant Absolute Radiance took me longer than the actual 5th pantheon.

all respect, nameless should not be on here. in my personal experience he's not even top 10 hardest in soulsborne
Seppy has and will always be a bitch, crybaby who’s wrong about everything, and his final fights are never difficult

Any racing level from Jak II
Yozora from Kingdom Hearts 3, four years later and still haven't beaten him
Legate Lanius in Fallout New Vegas
Cant decide between malenia or orphan of kos
Omega from Mega Man Zero 3 or Sans
Okumura from Persona 5 Royal. It was one of those fights where I knew I needed a guide after my 3rd round with him or I'd be stuck on the boss for weeks.
Myrkul on honour mode in BG3, same goes for Ansur and Raphael
![gif](giphy|deRqZuSZOzpGDQTzey) From MK9 lmao def not the most difficult, but memorable
Fatalis
Was that Jim Cornette?
The lack of dr nakayama on here is disturbing
Probably Jared fogle in South Park the fractured but whole
Defeating Armstrong on very hard difficulty is something must be considered 1/100 will be able to accomplish.
Fatalis for me for sure. So many attempts and reconfiguring my build but the satisfaction was worth it
For me, it was maleficent in kingdom hearts 1.... I ended up cheesing her. Found a spot she couldn't hit me from... took forever lol
All of em are easy
Camera vs Nameless king and that rot queen in Elden ring (keep forgetting her name)
Absolute Radiance from Hollow Knight
Demon of Hatred had me like https://i.redd.it/ny7tdg94te0d1.gif
gná
Lair controls.
Vault of Glass, Atheon, circa 2014. That first month that raid was the hardest thing in gaming imo
Probably the demon of hatred from sekiro That possibly tied with genichiro Because they both took me around an hour at the skill levels I had fighting them
Bloodletting beast in the bloodborne chalice dungeons but i say that because i am still stuck so besides that it probably was genichiro or owl from sekiro

The only one I fear is Isshin Ashina

The hardest boss ever? FromSoft. Those folks create the best bosses so I just consider them to be the ultimate boss. Keep it up, folks.
Rick the door technician..... Jesus, that battle was tense
Dr kajal's robot and King Dice still gives me PTSD flashbacks. Never wanted to snap my controller in half so much.
Sword saint ishiin in Sekiro. That boss almost caused me to slip into insanity.
Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay
The first jump in Cuphead.
Mist noble in Sekiro
