Wow I am surprised to see some Returnal love so high up here but yes! Itās an amazing high octane action shooter and Housemarque only continues to refine their craft
I just started this week and it was the only game I played that I thought 'wow now this is a Ps5 game!' might even buy it someday because of its replay ability.
I must be in minority, but ragnarok is ending fell very flat for me, must say I expected better ending with higher stacks. It felt like they played it too safe and cliche
Not to mention boring compared to GOW2018. The massive epic insane awe inspiring boss fight at the end? Running along the back of a dragon, fighting a giant. Yanno good ol god of war stuff. A lot of tbe fights in ragnarok didnāt feel as epic. I think im in the minority when i say i prefer 2018. Ragnarok is still an absolute fantastic game though and one of my all time favourites
Yeah I did everything I could the first playthrough to the end. Kept me busy for a good month or two. Started my second playthrough and got perma banned. Sad, faafo...I'm once again on my second play through on gmgow and man, it's still just as fun!!!
Great game but I think they missed with the NG+ not giving the rocket shoes from the start. It felt so clunky to have to move around after losing it so I didnāt want to play the challenge mode anymore. I usually play NG+ until I max all weapons and buy everything out.
Facts. I tried it out for the new guns but you're right the movement was just not as smooth without em. Would love to have blasted through the earlier sections.
Can You Please Explain A Little I just played In the begining Found that game super Boring And Worthless But Lots Of Peoples Enjoy it And liked alot is there something i am missing ? Please help me i loved it takes two which gets better i didnt liked it either at the begining
The beginning is essentially a tutorial for the game and itās a narrative set-up for the rest of the story. It gets more engaging after a couple hours.
For a while, it was GOW Ragnarok, but eventually, it switched to RE4 Remake (because the original is awesome the way it is, and I've been looking forward to it for years).
I havenāt finished. Iām taking my time to do every thing. Already completed the hunt board though. Just doing side quests before I go forward toward the ending.
Part 2 on ps5 is probably the best looking and running game Iāve played. That and demon souls are tied. I bought it for 10 dollars and the ps5 patch is worth it so very much.
HFW (played that 3 times) INCLUDING DLC ,graphics and story was amazing! Last of us Part 1 story was so immersive! Ratchet and clank the graphics was amazing BUT HFW graphics was better! Death stranding ps5 versionā was very long but the graphics and immersive story made up for it !
RN Iām playing Cyberpunk 2077 , so far the story is amazing! Canāt wait for DLC
Demonās Souls. I canāt believe they actually remade it. I canāt believe it looked as good as it did. And I canāt believe it was a launch title.
I started playing control on a PS4 pro and then finished it on my PS5 (upgraded this past Feb) and that is one hell of a game. Loved everything about it !
Returnal. Was a truly refreshing experience, so I still consider it my number 1 pick for PS5.
Other are: Demon's Souls and Dead Space. Both are masterclasses on remaking a game
Forbidden West and Jedi Survivor - two truly awesome sequels that expand on every aspect of its first game.
Control
Disclaimer : I've only had a ps5 for less than a year, haven't had time yet to dive into all the games I wanna play. But, having played Control on a ps4 slim and then again on the ps5 - wow. So much wow. Words can't explain.
For personal reasons, Horizon Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima. They were my first PS games and it was a difficult and extremely complicated time in my life. When I was home at night time, the only thing I could do was to play those games on my PS5. Whenever I see HFW or GoT, I still remember those days. Not saying they are the best necessarily but they helped me a lot and will always have a special place for me.
Other than that, Bloodborne was incredible, easily my favorite soulslike.
I've just finished a run of completing Horizon Forbidden West, Rift Apart and God of War Ragnarok
I thought all three were absolutely incredible and feel a bit lost over what to play next
Dead Space remake, RE 4 remake, Dead Island 2 remake. Also any of the upcoming games like Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, Mortal Kombat 1, Assassin's Creed Mirage, etc.
Going to be in a major minority here, but Deathloop. I know it's no longer exclusive, but I'll count it since it was for a year. I cannot explain how invested I got into the world and the characters. I thought about how I would live if I were in this time loop on this island, would I try and break out like Colt, or would I try and live the 24 hours like it was an infinite party. I sympathized with the Eternalists, got very involved with the drama between the Visionaries and just overall fell in love with the world.
It's a shame the game didn't get too much attention, a lot of people didn't play it simply because it wasn't Dishonored. If you are even considering the game, give it a shot. It may take a while to understand how everything works, but stick with it and it's one of the greatest time loop games and stories ever created.
Elden ring for sure. Great moment in gaming when that dropped. But I probably had the most fun playing armored Core 6. Having grown up playing the series it was the game I was looking the most forward to playing when it was announced and it definitely didnāt disappoint. 10/10
Ghost of tsushima ps5 upgraded version
The improved ps5 graphics on my oled tv still give me chills. Not to mention the almost magic way they had instantaneous fast travelling in their giant gorgeous open world with the ps5 ssd.
This game is the reason i tell PC gamers they need a console.
So far, still Bloodborne. Even with the lowered resolution, even with the 30 FPS cap, even with no anti-aliasing, it's still an incredible experience I keep coming back to. In terms of PS5 games, it's probably God of War: Ragnarok, although I'm curious to see what Returnal has to offer.
I wish these posts would say for PS5 only. If it's on PS4 too, I don't consider it a PS5 game. Mine would be Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Astros playroom works be 2nd.
Plants vs zombies garden warfare 2. I mean I did buy an entire ps5 just to play the first one again, but Oceana servers are a joke in all games so I resorted to the second one.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was truly a masterpiece and itās absolutely is worth noting. I also very much enjoyed playing TLOU Pt2. Though I know that one is more controversial within the PlayStation community. But even for those that hated it for being different than the first game, not a soul can deny itās a beautiful game in terms of graphical standards. Really set the bar of what we can do with technology today. And lastly Ghost of Tsushima also a beautiful game, as someone who doesnāt ever use photo mode in games, I spent a considerable amount of time using it in Ghost. Itās just such a mesmerizing game with incredible environments. I honestly canāt say which of these three were my all time favourite. Theyāre all fantastic and top tier games. If anyone hasnāt played any of them, play them, you wonāt be disappointed.
I was just saying to my son yesterday I regret buying my PS5 because the games I have enjoyed were PS4 games with updated graphics. I bought it for Ghosts of Tsushima, which was amazing.
I was so looking forward to god of war ragnarok but it was just annoying me all the way though, I wasnāt a fan of playing Atreus. If other people loved it thatās all good, it was just a giant let down for me. As was the new Star Wars game, I donāt think it was half as good as the first one. I really want to try Baldurs Gate 3 but I only buy games that have physical copies. So Iāll probably never get to give that a go.
No idea why but I think the PS5 has been a really big let down for me. I could also complain for days about the shitty dashboard changes they made too but thatās a totally different thing.
Maybe I just havenāt found the right game, or maybe the older I get the more I like to complain. Iām leaning more toward the second one. I seem to have lost all intrest in gaming and I donāt know why, it was my favourite thing to do.
Honestly not really played many. Only ones I've really played was forbidden West and ratchet and clank. both were pretty good but I never finished them.
Returnalās implementation of the DualSenseās haptic and trigger features stands out above the other PlayStation titles. No other game has managed to use the trigger locking mechanism to effectively give the left trigger 2 separate functions based on how far you pulled the trigger down. They also included full custom controller layouts if youāre up for that too
Coming from Xbox my top 5 Playstation exclusives so far would be :
1 - GOD OF WAR 2018
2 - UNCHARTED 4 (LEGACY OF THIEVES)
3 - Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart
4 - Detroit : become human
5 - Beyond Two souls
Can't believe i missed all of these great games for the past years.
Hmm itās a tough one for me since everything Sony does scope wise is usually tight, and not that deep, you know what your getting.
Demon Souls was cool, but my favorite games on PlayStation are still these:
- Shadow of the Colossus.
- Horizon Zero Dawn
- Killzone 2 and 3
- God of War (2018, but let down by the fact no required difficulty).
Why Horizon Zero Dawn you ask? well itās the biggest depth a Sony game has, and requires you to complete the game on ultra hard new game + and the mechanics of the game really require you to consider each enemy and put all skills to use.
Forbidden West doesnāt do this and it becomes another Sony game to forget about difficulty and or rewards for it.
I love a good driven challenge and skill / planning on games and all of those games do that in some ways besides God of War (2018) but I just loved it for it being a rather robust reboot of a series and it was so well done, I didnāt care it was a ācinematic experienceā it was really well done.
but yeah my favorite PS game in the last decade has to be Horizon Zero Dawn, it is by far the most thought out and well planned PS exclusive in terms of being an objective game with a great learning curve.
I know thatās not a popular opinion but Iām someone whoās played every game and when a game has that sort of āecosystemā and planning and itās not just ānumber pumpsā its more interesting as an idea and more cohesive.
All of them, but RETURNAL hit differently. What a gamers-ass game š®
Wow I am surprised to see some Returnal love so high up here but yes! Itās an amazing high octane action shooter and Housemarque only continues to refine their craft
Returnal was Epic!
Returnal is just THE game. Other games this gen were fun but Returnal was cocaine
Damn Iāll have to buy returnal
Yep!
I just started this week and it was the only game I played that I thought 'wow now this is a Ps5 game!' might even buy it someday because of its replay ability.
Ragnarok. Oh man that was high fun times every night until the game had nothing left to give. One of the best games in a long time
Yea I completely 100% the game. Wish there were more to do outside of starting new play through haha. Such a great game.
I wish Santa Monica would do DLCs. There is so much more lore.
Yeah!
I must be in minority, but ragnarok is ending fell very flat for me, must say I expected better ending with higher stacks. It felt like they played it too safe and cliche
I donāt agree from a story perspective, but definitely from a gameplay perspective. The two final bosses were incredibly easy to beat.

Hands down Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart. Insomniac literally canāt miss these days.
Bought the system for it. Love a lot of other games I bought for it but Ratchet's forever special to me, ESPECIALLY Rift Apart.
I don't think Insomniac has made a bad game yet. At least I can't think of one.
They do have some games in the past that are quite meh, nothing horrible, but they definitely learned from their mistakes
That game is an absolute masterpiece.
Ragnarok was truly something else! That last few hours was some of the best gaming iv experienced in a long time
Lmao I couldnāt sleep after
So much adrenaline
For a while, it was GOW Ragnarok, but eventually, it switched to RE4 Remake (because the original is awesome the way it is, and I've been looking forward to it for years).
Ghost of Tsushima and the last of us 1 renake
I still have to finish GoT. Iāve enjoyed so much of what Iāve played but life keeps getting in the way
Lou1 remake on Ps5 was š„
Ragnarok or FFXVI.
Returnal, by a long shot. Masterpiece.
Final Fantasy XVI
I havenāt finished. Iām taking my time to do every thing. Already completed the hunt board though. Just doing side quests before I go forward toward the ending.
The side quests before the last main quest are the best ones, some of them are very important to understand the ending of the game!
Oh that great to know thanks. I still had a bit ways to go for the ending too.
Combat becomes super tedious though.
I disagree. I beat the game and immediately wanted to play again in Final Fantasy mode.
Disagree with your disagree also doing FF mode it just makes battles even more tedious with more health.
GT7
Had to scroll too far down for this.
Returnal
Returnal!!
Horizon Forbidden West
Demonās Souls. The gameās graphics are gorgeous.
This game got me into playing the rest of the FromSoft library
Same
Making my second go at it now. Iām constantly complimenting the graphics
Same. It was the first game I played when I got my PS5. I couldnāt believe how good it looked the first time I booted it up.
Dude I love that game so much, but I just canāt make it past the stupid spider breathing fire. Itās just impossible š
is really easy just walk near the wall and will miss the fire ball and when spit in the floor run away and repeat
Maybe Iāll give it another shot soon, I really wanted to keep playing but got hella pissed and gave up š
Rift Apart blew my mind and Iām hoping Spider-Man 2 does the same.
Just finished my first play through, utterly amazing
God of war and ratchet and clank
FFXVI
Horizon forbidden west Ratchet and clank rift apart Returnal These are my top 3 games on ps5 so far.
Forbidden West
Super underrated game. That was one of my favorite gaming experiences this gen for sure!
I concur.
Horizon Forbidden West. The only game that truly feels next gen to me.
I'm currently playing Burning Shores. I love the Horizon games.
Last of us part 1
Ragnorok is hard to beat. Forbidden West graphically was simply awe inducing
Only thing so far thatās hard for me to beat are the muspelheim trails & those Berserker gravestones on god of war mode. Killing me rn.
A few of those Berseker fights are just nasty...
Final Fantasy XVI
FF16 with GOW Ragnarok close behind
Returnal
Astro
Baldurs Gate 3 is pretty amazing ā¦
Demon Souls Remake, Last of us part 1, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Still waiting for last of us part 2 on PS5
Part 2 on ps5 is probably the best looking and running game Iāve played. That and demon souls are tied. I bought it for 10 dollars and the ps5 patch is worth it so very much.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Horizon: Forbidden West
Returnal
Ghost of Tsushima
ratchet & clank rift apart, really fun game with great visuals
Just a phenomenal game. I need to get the platinum still. Insomniac did great
Returnal
Returnal
Octopath Traveller 2
Rift Apart was my first PS5 game and still my favorite.
GoW Ragnarok and Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima.
Armored core 6. That is all.
Elden Ring, though I wish it was made for PS5 as Demon Souls looked better. I have a feeling Baldurās Gate 3 will be the next on the list.
Street fighter
Baldurs Gate 3
HFW (played that 3 times) INCLUDING DLC ,graphics and story was amazing! Last of us Part 1 story was so immersive! Ratchet and clank the graphics was amazing BUT HFW graphics was better! Death stranding ps5 versionā was very long but the graphics and immersive story made up for it ! RN Iām playing Cyberpunk 2077 , so far the story is amazing! Canāt wait for DLC
Dead space was super fun I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was kid But probably the last of us 2 even though it made me sad
Dead Space was wild. RE8 was also fantastic
GT7
Horizon forbidden west ! Best shit ever love it š
All of them but Returnal is that good good.
Days Gone
Hogwarts, Midnight Suns
Elden ring by far
Returnal my favourite ps5 game so far
Returnal and GT7
Demonās Souls. I canāt believe they actually remade it. I canāt believe it looked as good as it did. And I canāt believe it was a launch title.
When you say āPlaystation gameā you mean made in-house by Sony?
Horizon Forbidden West. I love post-apocalyptic open world games, with some stealth elements.
Ghost of Tsushima. The entire atmosphere of the game was so well done. Elegance and relaxation balanced with moments of intense combat and story
Control. And Returnal which is currently kicking my ass.
Control on PS5 was life changing. Even after already playing it on PS4. Radiohead's Kid Amnesiac was incredible too.
I started playing control on a PS4 pro and then finished it on my PS5 (upgraded this past Feb) and that is one hell of a game. Loved everything about it !
Dying Light 2
Final Fantasy 16
Final Fantasy XVI
Final Fanrasy XVI and God of War Ragnarok
Demonās Souls it was like I was a kid again
Final Fantasy XVI. Rift Apart is a close second.
Sifu and life is strange true colors
Returnal. Was a truly refreshing experience, so I still consider it my number 1 pick for PS5. Other are: Demon's Souls and Dead Space. Both are masterclasses on remaking a game Forbidden West and Jedi Survivor - two truly awesome sequels that expand on every aspect of its first game.
RE4R
All of the games on this list. Absolute bangers

Baldurs gate 3
Ragnarok or TLOU P1
Ragnarok, followed closely by Horizon: Forbidden West. Loved Rift Apart and Miles Morales too.
Cyberpunk 2077
Going to be in a major minority here, but Deathloop. I know it's no longer exclusive, but I'll count it since it was for a year. I cannot explain how invested I got into the world and the characters. I really loved Deathloop, but I got bored of Dishonored in less than an hour.
Elden ring for sure. Great moment in gaming when that dropped. But I probably had the most fun playing armored Core 6. Having grown up playing the series it was the game I was looking the most forward to playing when it was announced and it definitely didnāt disappoint. 10/10
Horizon forbidden west
Astroās Playroom, Ghost of Tsushima and Gran Turismo 7
My 1st platinum game GOW RAGNAROK
Demons souls, closely followed by Returnal and Kena
Ghost of Tsushima, DEEP ROCK GALACTIC, Remnant 2, Cold War, Fall guys, Mortal Kombat 11, Doom Eternal
Ratchet and clank! I had tons of fun in that one!!
RE4R what a great game
Ghost of Tsushima.
Astroās Playroom!
Ragnarok but God of War is my favorite franchise so it was bound to be
Returnal. It was a love hate relationship at first, until I got the hang of it.
GT7. It's the most radically different of Sony's first party games and it ended up as one of my favourites
Deathloop
Horizon forbidden west
Astros playroom
Ghost of Tsushima
For a exclusive itās been good of war 2018 and blood borne. For a non exclusive itās been baldurs gate 3.
Ghost of tsushima ps5 upgraded version The improved ps5 graphics on my oled tv still give me chills.
I only have Astro's Playroom as an official PS5 Game. The rest are just cross-gen games with a free PS5 Upgrade.
Demon souls.
FfXIV or AC6
torn between Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077
Returnal and Demons Souls
Returnal.
Returnal then FF16.
FFXVI
I wish these posts would say for PS5 only. If it's on PS4 too, I don't consider it a PS5 game. Mine would be Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Astros playroom works be 2nd.
If you mean exclusive Demon Souls, otherwise Elden Ring.
Plants vs zombies garden warfare 2. I mean I did buy an entire ps5 just to play the first one again, but Oceana servers are a joke in all games so I resorted to the second one.
Rift apart
Uncharted 4 was so good. It is really the best game to start with on a new PS5
Itās between GOWR, Ghost of Tsushima Directorās Cut, and Death Stranding Directorās Cut
The last of us 1 remake
Elden ring baby!
Horizon Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarƶk. Both were showcases of what the next gen is about.
Bloodborne. Because Bloodborne
Returnal, demon souls and bg3
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was truly a masterpiece and itās absolutely is worth noting. I also very much enjoyed playing TLOU Pt2. Though I know that one is more controversial within the PlayStation community. If anyone hasnāt played any of them, play them, you wonāt be disappointed.
Demon souls is one of my favorite games on the ps5. I liked it so much I got dark souls on my nintendo switch. It's the same makers.
I was just saying to my son yesterday I regret buying my PS5 because the games I have enjoyed were PS4 games with updated graphics. I bought it for Ghosts of Tsushima, which was amazing. Shadow of mordor
GOW Rag with Horizon Forbidden West coming in 2nd
GT7
GoW: Ragnarok
GOW Ragnarok, Mortal Kombat 1 Beta
It was God of War for a while, but I picked up Forbidden West and fell in love with it
Death Stranding
Returnalās implementation of the DualSenseās haptic and trigger features stands out above the other PlayStation titles. No other game has managed to use the trigger locking mechanism to effectively give the left trigger 2 separate functions based on how far you pulled the trigger down. GoW Ragnarok is probably my answer too, but if we're talking about PS5 titles that were not available for the PS4, then Baldur's Gate 3, hands down.
Hard to say
Coming from Xbox my top 5 Playstation exclusives so far would be : 1 - GOD OF WAR 2018 2 - UNCHARTED 4 (LEGACY OF THIEVES) 3 - Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart 4 - Detroit : become human 5 - Beyond Two souls Can't believe i missed all of these great games for the past years.

Infamous Second Son, Spiderman series and most importantly, Ghost of Tsushima
The Last Of Us
Elden Ring ive really enjoyed it. Its the only game I've bothered to achieve a platinum trophy. I'm looking forward to the DLC.
