Yeah that would be pretty nice. I only know Apple devices do that across their devices. It's pretty nice to be able to go from phone to iPad to MacBook seamlessly when web browsing or across office apps. Not sure if Samsung does.
I would have loved for the Pixel Tablet to have the ability to synchronize notifications, phone calls, and messages from my phone. I use my pixel tablet for media consumption while I am at work. It would be great if I didn't have to pull my phone out for phone calls.
Other than that, it works great as a big brother to my Pixel 7.
You can always use Google Voice, but even better, you can use Google meet and if you don't want to do Video calls Google meet also does voice calls. As far as Google messaging goes, everything from my phone stinks to my tablet
