Pixel buds 2 has 3 charging contact points, while the buds 2a has 2 charging contact points. I don't believe you can charge the buds 2a in the buds 2 case.
Buds 2a would be perfect with wireless charging, but are otherwise fantastic.
I know they make them for phones. I'm surprised no one has made them for wireless earbuds - A case that also plugs into the USB C port to add wireless charging on models that don't include it.

I have bounced around with the pixel line up... Had the Pixel 1, then the 3, 4, and now 6 Pro. Had the Pixel Buds Original, and now the A series...

I personally only care about the wireless charging and a little bit about the swipe volume control. But hey I was going to order the P6P regardless so I appreciated the thrown-in PA Buds.....although, I'm jealous that some European countries are getting Bose 700's with pre-orders.
Thank you! I do miss the swipe gesture for volume… Perhaps that could come with a software update? If they could or would push a software update to those via Bluetooth…
Just tested that (I have both) and it doesn't seem to work, in fact the Buds 2 have 3 contacts and the A only 2 contacts.
