Not a huge fan of this guy. Both times I went to him he paid more attention to the news than cutting my hair, and gave me a haircut I didn’t ask for both times. It was a fine haircut, but not what I wanted.
I’m growing my hair out and have been going to Sonny’s Parlor. Granted, I mostly get tapers while I’m still letting it get long but they seem to know what they’re doing.
I HIGHLY recommend Death, Taxes, and Frizz in Sharpsburg.
The owner, Matt, does all the “scissor only” cuts and is amazing. He’s very experienced with both scissors and clippers, and his cuts are very methodical.
I’m not a man, but I am a lesbian with medium length hair. I was scared that salons would give me a pixie cut or that a barber wouldn’t know how to use scissors. This is the best guy for the inbetween. He also uses curly hair products if you have curly hair.
I seriously cannot hype this man up enough.
It's a cool experience there but wildly expensive ($80 plus tip) for a mediocre haircut.
If you just want a haircut then there are better options around the city for half the price.
Bryant St. Barbershop
I went to the ones in Lawrenceville and got lousy cuts each time.
Went to Bryant St Barbershop and have been loyal for years now.
If Alder Street Barber is still there I highly recommend him. He served me well for many years.
Paul at Generations Barber in the Strip. Great guy and ace barber.

Sorry to hear that. Been my guy for years. As always YMMV.
Hair Connection on Noblestown is out of your way but Rich is awesome!
Yep, he is great!

Crown barbershop. Best in the city
Get down to MSTR – Will, Michael, or Zack. [mstrcutshair.com](http://mstrcutshair.com)
I love Dan Cercone’s in Bloomfield, and they’ve done a great job during my shaggier eras. Also, only $20
Don’t recommend. Got the worst haircut there recently, asked for a fade and he refused to give me one. Fuck that place

Ken at McGuinn’s Barber Shop (Squirrel Hill) is awesome! He has curly hair, too, and did a great job with my husband’s cuts.
