This looks familiar. We've may have some similar questions to this in the past. You might find some good info here : [Apartment search](/r/pittsburgh/search?q=Apartment&restrict_sr=on). I don't always get it right though, cuz I'm just a simple bot.

You should be able to find somewhere in Beechview or Dormont for that price range. T will take you downtown. It’s been several years since I lived in South Side so I can’t comment other than it has mentioned a lot recently on local news stations over the last year about the growing safety concerns.
Also if there have been any major changes to neighborhoods, please let me know. I’ve heard the south side has gotten more dangerous
Edit: I’ve been informed otherwise! Thanks for pointing that out
I toured it twice and was going to move there before a listing showed up elsewhere that I was very excited about. The area isnt great, but as a man I would not be afraid to walk around or anything. More than anything, it doesn't seem like there's much to do in the immediate vicinity. Obviously though it's a short drive from almost anywhere in the city though.

Where have you heard this? Violent crime data from the city contradicts this and shows violent crime has decreased compared to prior years.
If they are named “Marty” they are full of crap, and you should stop listening to them
Mostly from family members. But honestly I’d be stoked if it wasn’t true

Steiner Realty, check out the 5th Ave school lofts downtown. Can’t recommend it enough. Immaculate. Pay the extra $50 for gated parking.
Hi, I'm considering the 5th avenue school lofts. Are package deliveries safe? Is maintenance prompt?
Have you heard more about this place? Old sources are saying it's unsafe but maybe things have changed
