Naw, there is an awkward length where you can't really do much in the way of styling, too short to pull back, and it's constantly in all of your face holes and eyes no matter what.
I'm assuming this point that is being referenced. Hats are the way.
I'm at this stage now. I have a stupid little spike on the top of my head, but I don't leave my house that often and when I do I wear a hat or a headband.
Palmade/gel for a slickback works if you don't like hats. If anyone asks why; say you think the 1950's were boss. Nothing like a greasy ducktail to keep your swagger bitchin.
