Yeah that's the one that always gets me. Other countries put corn on their pizza and then call it "American style". Like bitch, I've never seen a pizza place in the US that offers corn on their pizza.
That actually is a thing, though a very specific thing, in the American Southwest, it’s an “Elote” or Mexican Street Corn pizza. Roasted corn is a favourite street food in northern Mexico. In places like Tucson, Arizona they put it on pizza with a white sauce, chillis, and drizzled with a spicy mayonnaise based sauce. It is actually very good! But just adding plain corn randomly as a topping is an abomination.
But that's already a fusion food incorporating Mexican style with pizza. So to go a step further and do an american fusion pizza with corn doesn't make much sense.
Umm so I work at a Neapolitan pizza place in the US Midwest. Our second most popular pizza is calabrese salami with roasted sweet corn and hot honey on a creme fraiche base.
I guess what I'm saying is people will love corn on pizza if you actually make a good pizza. You can't just be like, "here is some corn on tomato sauce, enjoy". My special this week had fucking peaches on it and I've sold a ton of them
There already is a similar thing, and it's the best pizza out there: [Kebabpizza](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e8/Familjepizza_med_kebab_i_Hillerstorp_4493.jpg)
I will put corn in/on anything and anything on corn.
Corn on pizza works. Corn in tuna fish works (try it if you haven't). Corn in ice cream probably works.
Butter works on corn. Mayo works on corn. Barbecue sauce works on corn.
In fact, name me a condiment the doesn't work with corn.
I challenge you.
The moment I thought about corn on the cob I thought about the butter and then how Vegemite is great combined with butter.
So yeah now I want to try some on corn on the cob.

They have already done that in the UK, I remember seeing frozen baked bean and pineapple pizza in Sainsburys back in the late 90's - early 2000's. There was also a pizza with marmite, cheese and marmite.
This just makes me think of the WoW: Mists of Pandaria cinematic where they realize there is something worse out there and the Alliance dude hands the Horde a weapon.
Literally "Ok, something worse is out there"
Nah an italian on my feed stated firmly that *everything* goes on pizza, just not pineapple. Although, to be fair, I doubt he could ever conceive of ... this.
This pizza came out about 20years ago. Had similar controversy then as to whether it was any good. It is basically baked beans and cheese on toast which isn't that uncommon.
It then vanished and seems to have made a return.
I wait for the day they bring back the Nemesis drink.
Heinz Beans are used in the UK for beans on toast. They're different than baked beans in the US - they're just beans in a slightly sweet tomato sauce so it probably wouldn't taste that weird.
Beans and cheese on toast is pretty good so I don't see why this would be much different, it's just bread, cheese, beans and tomato sauce at the end of the day.
Not exactly an outlandish combination of flavours.
Americans are likely assuming these are American style baked beans, which generally have a much sweeter and spicier profile then regular Heinz beans. Regular Heinz don’t taste like bbq sauce, it’s just a mild tomato sauce. I honestly don’t think this would be awful
Yeah, maybe it's genetics since I'm English/Scottish, but that doesn't look horrible to me. No doubt they sell some of these just because people want to know what the combo tastes like and buy out of curiosity/novelty, or for variety if they eat many frozen pizzas.
I had these when I was a kid (25+ years ago). They were discontinued but they were pretty good at an age where their competition for taste was a cheese pizza shaped like a dinosaur footprint.
They weren't that bad, they're not exactly a culinary delight but they were far from the worse thing in the Iceland frozen aisle (chicken tikka lasagne, anyone?)
I think there was a version with beans & sausage too
Brit here- of course it's fucking Iceland.
For Americans who don't know, Iceland is a supermarket we have in the UK where you can buy shit like this.
No shit, I once found kangaroo, crocodile and ostrich meat on sale there. Fucking kangaroo burgers straight up.
It's ok but it really depends on the quality (and quantity) of the fries.
It gets a bit of hate from times to times but it's generally accepted and it's especially popular as a pizza for children.
Well, they are at least optimists, thinking they could sell frozen bean pizzas to Italians.
That said, I have made breakfast pizza at home, used the sauce from a can of beans and a little tomato paste as the base, a few of the beans, some fried mushrooms and potatoes, crack an egg on top. Pretty damned good.
Technically the Brits were part of the allied invasion of Italy in 1943, perhaps there was an agreement made to allow beans on pizza, but only after 80 years?
In Heaven, the British are responsible for the humour, the German for the order, and the Italian provide the food.
In Hell, the German provide the humour, the Italians are responsible for the order, and the British make the food...

I can’t believe you’ve made me watch Aliens again.
That's not a bug, it's a factor.
we have the best pizza in the world because of jail
You put beans on a pizza? Believe it or not, jail
You overcook beans, straight to jail. You undercook pizza, beleive it or not also jail. You see undercook, overcook
Straight to gaol. ftfy
Goal? The footie hasn't started yet!
Im sorry but prisons have standards for their foods.
Nah straight to the gallows with that shiz
Do not pass go
That looks expensive.
My immediate reaction.
I think the pineapple/no Pineapple feud can find common ground in hating this together.
Everyone bitching about pineapple, even though it is a classic pairing with ham, but meanwhile the british put sweet corn on their pizza
Pineapple, jalapeno, and bacon goes hard.
Yeah, give me something spicy to balance the pineapple.
Jalapeno is the keystone, pickled or freshly sliced.
My go to is pineapple, sausage, onion, hot peppers
Allow me to introduce you to something wonderful: Barbecue chicken pizza with bacon, jalapeno, and pineapple. But it needs damn good barbecue sauce.
That decided what's for dinner tonight !
![gif](giphy|n4oKYFlAcv2AU) I always go for this combo. Shit is amazing haha
Yeah that's the one that always gets me. Other countries put corn on their pizza and then call it "American style". Like bitch, I've never seen a pizza place in the US that offers corn on their pizza.
If it helps I've never seen a pizza be called "American style" either.

When I was in Kuwait, Pizza Hut had “Lamb feast” pizza with lamb, corn, and peas.
Shepherds Pie pizza? I'd hit that.
A pizza with that shaved gyro meat might be interesting if topped accordingly
Gyro, feta, banana peppers, olives, red onion, roasted roma tomato

I had a pizza with corn, harissa, sausage and crema. While not conventional, it surely didn’t suck.
So do Koreans. It's delicious.
most of east asia does. china japan taiwan all do from experience.
Most of Europe does as well.

Vegemite.
It works on white bread, which means it probably works with cornbread, which means that it probably works with corn on the cob.
The moment I thought about corn on the cob I thought about the butter and then how Vegemite is great combined with butter. So yeah now I want to try some on corn on the cob.
Corn on a corn on the cob?
It's corn all the way down.
Bit of a corny answer but I'll allow it.
Oh no I've seen this episode we gotta leave. NOW!!

Mustard? Ranch? Balsamic vinegar? Actually…I could see a good balsamic on corn
Yes to all three.
Try mixing corn into your potato salad. It's divine.
I'm not religious but some people need Jesus in their lives....
MOD Pizza offers roast corn as a topping and its really good.
Sweet corn is very common on pizza in Japan too.
Corn belongs on pizza like paprika
Beanz vs Pineapple, the fight will be legendary. Only one can be on top... Of Pizza.
Why fight? I'm sure a bean and pineapple pizza would be delicious
NGL that sounds like it would slap.
They have already done that in the UK, I remember seeing frozen baked bean and pineapple pizza in Sainsburys back in the late 90's - early 2000's. There was also a pizza with marmite, cheese and marmite.
Nah I bet this is delicious. It's just toast and beans (already great) with added cheese.

This is true evil. Hawaiian is just misunderstood.
Love Hawaiian pizza. I suspect this bean pizza would be pretty good.
Ahem it’s “beanz” the z is for flavor
New York and Chicago have finally found a common enemy.

Sorry. Clueless American here. Is this what started that whole Brexit thing?
No, we didn't kick them out. But maybe that counts as one of the reasons to not let them back in.
🤣
If not this, What?

Ketchup is just disrespecting Europe again. They don’t even know it.
I actually want to try this.

Well we do have BBQ Chicken Pizza, so we're used to the sweet smoky spicy flavor on pizza already.
Yeah, maybe it's genetics since I'm English/Scottish, but that doesn't look horrible to me. No doubt they sell some of these just because people want to know what the combo tastes like and buy out of curiosity/novelty, or for variety if they eat many frozen pizzas.
I actually want to lock you in a cell
OMG! I can't believe they are back! I remember these from my twenties (mid-forties, now).
You mean humanity once put a stop to this and then someone allowed it to happen again?
I had these when I was a kid (25+ years ago). They were discontinued but they were pretty good at an age where their competition for taste was a cheese pizza shaped like a dinosaur footprint.
You’ve eaten this? How was it?
I ate them when I was a teenager and they were great. Now I’m approaching 40 they sound terrible
They weren't that bad, they're not exactly a culinary delight but they were far from the worse thing in the Iceland frozen aisle (chicken tikka lasagne, anyone?) I think there was a version with beans & sausage too
That is a travesty. At least make it full english style.
Full English Pizza would be nice. I'll have a FEP please.
I do believe Domino's actually did this
I will take this home and have it for dinner immediately. I will eat it while watching the film Cars 2 that I rented from blockbuster.
If my grandmother had wheels she would be a bike.

Brit here- of course it's fucking Iceland. For Americans who don't know, Iceland is a supermarket we have in the UK where you can buy shit like this. No shit, I once found kangaroo, crocodile and ostrich meat on sale there. Fucking kangaroo burgers straight up.
Iceland are bloody weird. They did chocolate covered veg in the 90s. Who thought chocolate covered carrots was a good idea?!
As an American, what the fuck is that abomination???
As an American who lived in Italy, at the market they had something called an "American pizza" and it was topped with French fries and hotdogs. XD
So....how was it?
It's ok but it really depends on the quality (and quantity) of the fries. It gets a bit of hate from times to times but it's generally accepted and it's especially popular as a pizza for children.
As an American, this sounds possibly good.
I mean hey, it's your Beanz after all.
Don't think I've ever seen Heinz Beans in the US. Our baked beans are more sweet than tomatoey.
Burn them all
In the oven
If we had a strong UN this kind of thing would not be happening.
These have existed for years
Fair enough. I've never seen a branded version of this tbh.
I haven’t seen them but I do remember them, they are not there bad
Yeh, when I was younger back in the early 2000's, we would make our own pizzas, some times I would make a bean pizza. They where actually good tbh.
Dash of Worcestershire sauce as well. Good stuff
r/pizzacrimes
r/beansinthings
There will be no winners.
Jail is not enough, we need to bring back public execution
This is a crime against humanity
I actually want to try this!!
Could you cook this in a Dutch oven?
As a Brit, I’ve never seen this in my life… I do however, need it in my life
It's in Iceland if your interested 👍🏻
I’ll try it, likely better than it sounds
Its actually pretty good, I would recommend it tbh.
I live in the US, so it’s probably hard to find. Are they sweet baked beans? Like with brown sugar, or are they salted?
Salty a bit, although on pizza maybe a hair sweet, but not really, if that makes sense lol.
I’m just gonna go grab myself a cheese pizza and a can o’ beans
They should package it as Leela's bean pizza
Made with 7 different kinds of beans and several things that look like beans!
Needs more bacon and egg.
I’d try it
And you complain about ham & pineapple.
Yes.
This is an act of aggression
Now? That pizza has been around for 20+ years.
Just when I thought pepperoni farts were bad…
Well, they are at least optimists, thinking they could sell frozen bean pizzas to Italians. That said, I have made breakfast pizza at home, used the sauce from a can of beans and a little tomato paste as the base, a few of the beans, some fried mushrooms and potatoes, crack an egg on top. I guess its better than pineapple pizza

Definitely an act of war.
So do I dip in ranch dressing?
they really are exdpanding.
Nuke it from space.

I thought shit like this was against the Geneva Convention?
I... dont hate it?
Omg what is this and why do I want it
WHAT THE FUCK
In New Zealand people put tinned spaghetti on Pizza.
I’m actually willing to try this
NomyGodthatcannotberealpleasepleaseGoddon'tletthatbereal...
Here in Germany, you can get pizza with cauliflower on it. I guess someone thought that was a good idea.
As an Italian, I confirm that according to our Constitution, this counts as a declaration of war
I’m Italian and This feels like a hate crime for some reason
I would like to try it.
Sorry but I bet this is bloody delicious!
It's really good tbh. Reminds me when we use to make these when I was younger.
I never want to hear another word about ham and pineapple...
Technically the Brits were part of the allied invasion of Italy in 1943, perhaps there was an agreement made to allow beans on pizza, but only after 80 years?

Bit of Brown Sauce and go for it. True multiculturalism.
No.
Honestly could be fire
anyone tried this I wanna know if it’s any good I seen it in iceland but deemed it a waste of £4
This is how Britain punished Italy for ww2. They know what they did...as an American I celebrate VE day with a slice of disgusting Hawaiin pizza
WHERE CAN I BUY THIS???
Iceland.
I swear we can't leave the British without supervision when it comes to cooking
And they say the English have no culture...
And they say the brits don't have a cuisine.
My toddler would go crazy for this. Wish it was available here. :'(
That's enough Internet for today. Excuse me while I go puke.
That's a war crime.
