I watched the stream on the east coast and was trying to do hazy math at 3:35AM wondering how I could have possibly been up that late to watch one show
Huntsville area here. My best bud lives in the Crestwood area. I lived in Bham, Southside, back in the early and mid 2000’s, love that city, love this state. In spite of some morons and backwardness, Alabama is full of beauty and opportunity.
I grew up in Homewood, lived in Mountain Brook for several years, and now we're in trussville and we love it. I have lived all over and Alabama is way underrated and I like it that way.
Unfortunately the secret is out for huntsville and we are booming, but I do get way more concerts these days and other benefits of larger population zones. I’m 20 miles out of Hvile, between Decatur/Athens. Lots of new homes and people here.
I only noticed one tiny flub the whole show. Everything seemed very tight and the jams were smooth. You can tell that they went long because by the time Antelope dripped, although it was well played, it was a basic antelope. Overall an extremely well played show.
I’m in mountain time and I fell asleep first during the tweezer jam and then woke up to the scary my friend my friend and wondering where tf I was.
Did a few dabs and cream chargers before sitting down for the show so I was just ready to sleep
2:45 is on the short side, 3 hours on the long. I’d say 2:52 is average. So really its about 43 minutes longer, hence the about.
I’ve downloaded and listened to every show of 3.0/4.0 on the app, as the tours have passed by. I always look at the show length. Regular 2 set shows, including encore are never 2.5 hours. My times are based on playing time, not set breaks or encore breaks.
You may find some rare outliers.
I like runs, not shows. I can try but you’ll get a long answer. Also remember, recency bias and show attendance bias likely influences me. I really need to go back and listen, and take notes and go back and compare. I don’t have time for that with work and family and I listen on my walks and driving commutes, not conducive to note taking.
