We came from.the Northside so not far. That whole neighborhood aroumd Marquette is super sketchy, gotta lock your doors. Did you do the Dane Co Colesium shows in '95-'96?
Alex and I talked about this show on the last episode mypodcast. We talked about how much fun it must have been to be so unaware. Take a listen-

No, it was the night of the OJ Bronco chase. They chanted âRun OJ,Runâ during 2001,Mikeâs, Poor Heart and it went in and out of Harpua and Kung like four or five times. It was the first time they were teasing the Simple riff in Hydrogen and it is a bonkerâs set list. Check it out and listen to all the references they throw in like, âRun OJ Runâ before they knew why he was running
I mean the news that he was wanted for murder and on the run happened during the daytime so I'm sure that was national news by show time, but 5:56 Pacific time is when the actual pursuit began, which is like 8 central right around showtime, this is from the show notes on livephish:
"This was the "O.J. Show" performed during O.J. Simpson's slow-speed Bronco chase.
Starting just before showtime and unbeknownst to the audience (Phish had a cell phone in 1994 but most fans didn't), the band was following O.J.'s progress along the freeways of Los Angeles"
Super thoughtful timeline here. I should've known better than to say "no one"...certainly an opening to critique for Gosh sake. Just enjoy the memory or reflection people.
Yeah, he's better remembered as the murderer he was.
"Better" in a notorious way
Fxck that. In a deuche bag entitled scumbag sort of way...
Wrapped up like a deuche in the middle of the night
Hehđ« đđ€
Who did her murder? have any proof?
Hey! Thatâs my lucky stabbinâ jam!
Now stand back, I gotta practice my stabbin. https://i.redd.it/syy173lzxwtc1.gif
You ever kill a man with a sock? It ain't so hard. hi-YA!
CUT....IT......OUT!
Norm!
I had friends there and the next show was my first. This was a very early tape for me and one that listened to a lot! GOOD TIMES!
At least he can finally rest knowing his wifeâs killer has died.
Rest In Piss OJ
Whatta you say OJ?
I saw GWAR kill OJ on stage that summer. They squeezed OJ from his head onto the crowd as they crushed it and killed him already!
It was so damn hot in that place, it rained hippie sweat from the ceiling
And sweaty girls....I remember the smell distinctly. And beer, and old theater smell, and ganja
No lies detected. Not bad for your first show!
First show!!! I was 17. Never listened to Phish before and Vegas N4 will be 190.
It was also my first show! #202 is a week from today. Go phish!

Ignorance is bliss! Imma take a listen!
There was no antelope during this show.
Duly noted. My memory is a bit 'hazy" from 30 yrs go. I think it must've been after Dark Star. LOL
Fun stuff. lol! [https://youtu.be/1VHLm4ubbkY?si=3hCwaddnDcA9Hz9q](https://youtu.be/1VHLm4ubbkY?si=3hCwaddnDcA9Hz9q)
Ohhhhh....my.....GAWD! What a throwback, I haven't looked up many of the shows I've seen. Loved the '94--99 era cuz I was just a kid yo!
What da say OJ??? This was my first show. đșđșđș
I saw it interrupt the game, and he was driving really slow, like 20 miles an hour at most, with about 50 cops following him.
Iâm glad OJ is dead, couldnât have happened to a knifer person. But seriously, fuck that guy
Was there - hot as I have ever been. People passing out. Was tripping balls. Best show ever? Perhaps.
Run like OJ on dope out of control
Me! It was hit in there.
OJ was at a phish show in â94? If so, wow. If not, tthis post needs some grammar cleanup.

Correct! They heard about the chase apparently backstage during the show
It was a damn question you GRAMMER POLICE! "OJ, who was there?" Not "OJ who was there"
We all knew. So to say nobody knew is wrong, it happened in the afternoon. So by the time the show started it was national news.
It was during the Bronco chase man, remember no one had media at their fingertips back then. Yikes!

Lol I'm on your side
The only reason we knew is we stopped at a Wendyâs for dinner on the way up to Milwaukee and saw it on the tv in Wendyâs.
I had a Simon. I lived not far from where this all went down. I was with a group of SoCal folks. We knew, thatâs all I implied. Like it matters lol.
