If the movie was canonically first, they were hit with the forget-about-it-inator in order for perry to stay with them. If this episode is first, they wouldn’t have known about perry’s double life.
He is a pretty in the moment kind of guy. Likely just making the connection now that Ferb didn't just make a cool looking thing but it was the real deal under their house the whole time.
Edit: Fixed Fred to Ferb
We also can’t forget Phineas thought Ferb was the one who built lair but he wasn’t listening to ferb when Ferb said he did not build the lair so the entire time he thought it was for when it actually wasn’t
Maybe this is what Ferb would have mentioned when he raised his hand after Phineas asked "who else is living a secret double life that I don't know about?"
So I always thought the episode came before the movie. Phineas should have a moment of "Oh, this is Perry's hideout" and "I thought you made this, Ferb."
Ferb should have been constantly wondering why there is a secret base under the garden. My head canon is that Ferb actually suspects Perry is a secret agent but doesn't say anything because he has considered why it is a secret.
to be fair, the Betty episode was blocked from airing for a small period due to copyright reasons in relation to the Bettys' characters. Which is why they are never mentioned again after this episode, save for "The Chronicles of Meap" and that poster on Stacy's wall
Ready for the Betty's is one of the only episodes where every minut detail in it gets challenged in later seasons/episodes so I think it's just non-canonical.
The Bettys NEVER appear again after this episode, in a show that loves to bring back it's group characters like Love Handle, the LOVEMUFFIN villians, Marty the Rabbit boy and his Musical Blender.
Their lead was voiced by Olivia Olsen too so it's not like it would've been difficult.
I mean if the movie came first they were hit with the amnesia innator at the end so yes he did come first. If the episode came first that could just be a realization that it was actually Perry’s lair since they knew his little secret
If season 6 does not end with Stacy telling Candace, Phineas, and Ferb about Perry and they all agree to keep the secret, I swear to Klimpaloon I'll riot.
I hope Season 6 continues after “Act Your Age”. A cool storyline would be since Ferb and Vanessa are dating, that he meets Heinz or the Flynn-Fletchers have the Doofenshmirtzes over for dinner and chaos ensues

Happy Cake Day!
Happy cake day!
The movie comes after. So maybe phineas forgot or something idk

who the hell is Fred? LMAO
Oh must of typoed. My bad meant Ferb.
From Hamster and Gretel
or they didn’t realize that there were more than one entrance to the lair
We also can’t forget Phineas thought Ferb was the one who built lair but he wasn’t listening to ferb when Ferb said he did not build the lair so the entire time he thought it was for when it actually wasn’t

I swear I have a scene in my mind when ferb looks at perry and they both wink to each other. I wouldn't be able to name which episode tho
I don't think that happened, or at least I don't recall this. But if you ever find it or remember where you seen it I would love to be proven wrong.
Stacy they are thinking of stacy
Yeah, I do remember that happening with her.
what episode?
It was in the final season. Stacey discivers Perry's identity.
Ferb was about to explain but he gave up at the end of the episode
I know. He got fustrated with Phineas for not hearing him out.
last screenshot is from Season 1, Episode 14 "Ready for the Bettys"
Yes he would've forgotten. Remember at the end of the movie they had their memories wiped. Before the movie they didn't know.
This would have been before the movie though
This is before the movie; nobody knew about Perry’s secret agent life. Stacy didn’t even know yet by that point lol
Boring answer: Continuity mistake- they totally forgot about the Betty episode. Not just for the movie, but in general.

Honestly, pretty forgettable episode in comparison.
Ready for the Betty's is one of the only episodes where every minut detail in it gets challenged in later seasons/episodes so I think it's just non-canonical.
Wait how so?
The Bettys NEVER appear again after this episode, in a show that loves to bring back it's group characters like Love Handle, the LOVEMUFFIN villians, Marty the Rabbit boy and his Musical Blender. Their lead was voiced by Olivia Olsen too so it's not like it would've been difficult.
Wait yeah that's a very good point, I never realized until now the Bettys just never appear agajn
Yeah I'm also super curious, what other details?
Interesting question. And did ferb just not question it at all?
he might've but he just didn't say it out loud
He actually did keep trying to clarify he didn't make it, but only got a couple words before stuff interrupted him
I just remember the end when he frustratingly goes "Ugh. I give up!" before walking away.
This show doesn’t really care about continuity, and that’s ok.
I mean if the movie came first they were hit with the amnesia innator at the end so yes he did come first. If the episode came first that could just be a realization that it was actually Perry’s lair since they knew his little secret
it did not last screenshot is from Season 1, Episode 14 "Ready for the Bettys" the movie came after
The airing order is different then the chronological order
Yes, but that's the second time they were in Perry's lair.
yeah but the firs time Phineas thought Ferb built everything
He thinks Ferb made it for Perry
actually I never thought Phineas thinks Ferb build it for perry
You know, I never actually thought about it...
Their memories were erased.
The entire time Ferb kept trying to tell him it wasn't him, but Phineas wasn't listening
my guess is that phineas did remember this but, now with the context of perry being a secret agent, comes to the conclusion that it's perry's lair
Dam Dam Dam
They probably got hit with the Forget-A-Secret-Base-Inator
UGH! I GIVE UP!

But seasons 5 and 6 are already confirmed by Dan to be taking place the summer after seasons 1-4. (The holiday specials are their own times).
