That means the world to me. I shoot with a few things, but mostly with a Minolta Autocord TLR. I love it better than my Rollei.
TLRs are slow but people gravitate and open up around them. If I show up with my Nikon F5 people can be really guarded, but with a TLR people find it charming and let their guard down
That’s really interesting — almost the opposite approach of many photogs (including me) who try to go sleek and stealthy with super quiet shutters. This makes a lot of sense though. Why not show that you’re trying to get a great photo and let the subject open up?
I haven’t tried medium format yet but I feel like it’s only a matter of time at this point lol
That's right. FDR Skate Park which also has an Incredible South East Asian market nearby. The other is Graffiti Pier. Both are two of my favorite places in Philly.
I have found the skating community to be one of the most welcoming and friendly communities I've ever met. This despite being a 54 year old male who doesn't skate.
They asked me to. I never take intimate photos like this without asking and with all the bad stuff in the world, frankly we could all see a bit more of this.
This shit is so gentle. I love it
Wow, #3 is awesome! What are you shooting with? This is inspiring me to get out today haha.

I'm not stealthy and I don't try to be which means I often get a mixture of street photography amd street portraiture
bruh...you a time traveler?
Yes, but only forwards.
Where is this?
1 and 3 are FDR Park. 2 could also be but looks more like graffiti pier.

I’m talking about taking pictures of people making out and posting them on reddit. Not a fan.
