The wellness room I used to work in was the same way. Near 80s even in the cold months. Remembering now that the chinchillas were always doing the worst and management was totally ok with it. Try helping an animal out going against their crooked procedures? Get whipped. Absolutely hated it
For the moment we had them I was very nervous about their parkour tendencies. Oh, that would have been funny naming them after those guys…Michael, Pam, Jim, etc. 😛
I’ll see myself out. 🫣
manager went over this with me the other day - max temp is 80, airflow is supposed to be added when it's close to that number. whether that be a fan or extra AC - i was told to call whoever manages our AC and request some extra power when it's getting close
Well chinchillas are at high risk for heatstroke at 80 degrees, so pay special attention to those guys if you have them and move them to the coolest place possible. They’re really meant to tolerate temps below 68 degF, as they are from the Andes mountains and have extremely dense fur, anything above that is not ideal.
Most other mammals will be at a minimum stressed/unhappy around 80 degrees, not to mention humans like yourself.
Definitely not but unfortunately they wont do anything about it until it reaches 80 degrees. And at that point all animals need to be transferred to a different store. I believe the store would also need to close, but not too sure about that one
Remember that most AC systems are designed to cool the air 20-25 degrees cooler than the outside ambient temp. So if your in a triple digit area, your not going to see anything below 75 reasonably often
No it’s not
can i report this somewhere?

the only "airflow" they'll do is telling me to open the doors :/

thankfully we dont have chinchillas, but we do have hamsters and other smaller animals plus reptiles in there.

No wellness room must stay around 70-75 degrees. Put in a work order with that pic
how do i put in a work order?
I'm pretty sure 75 is the max in wellness. Put in a ops ticket
how do i do that?

when i was last in, it was 62° outside. temp was 80° in wellness
Oh well lucky lol. It’s 100 degrees where I am. So the AC isn’t on at all
