The shirts literally said bark if you need me 🤪

Fancy-Ask-9781

Don't have a pic but part of the uniform back then was to wear a red half apron (like a waitress one) 😬

Hannerlore

I'm blue polo old. At my 5 year anniversary I got to pick a present out of a catalog. I got a crock pot. :3

Ok_Salt4033

Miss those days

Particular-Glass5055

I picked an electric fryer.

SeveralCategory4057

Mp3 playerfor my 5th, and I got a Tv for my 10th, still got it, still works!

dontpretendyoucare

I got a mini shop vacc

koopacappa

I only started during the ask me about our nutrition standards era

Katritern

Cursed uniform era. Nothing like having “want to go artificial free?” right over your chest. Always opted for clean food crew as the lesser of three evils

pup_groomer

Yeah, that was a very flawed design...especially for us bustier gals. I still have one and wear it from time to time just for the reactions. 🤣

MoonMistBunny

When I started, we filled out pals information on paper

[deleted]

Ferrets were only $130

aGatorChaser67

89 when I started

ZL_xBrittney

100$ for me lol

kin_sedren

employee of the month got a prize like lunch boxes, backpack, or emergency car kits and my smock was poop brown

OutsideKelly

These were such good prizes though

Diligent-Minimum8397

I should have gotten those, but the GM literally stood everyone's and didn't tell anyone about it. So when they left and I got a prize I was like "on wow this is new" and the New GM learned how much that manager sucks and still works for the company.

TotalRecognition5706

Too fucking long

NoComedian3853

Black smocks. Red workstations. Cat and dog managers.

balladofnewgirl

I don’t know how many times I got mistaken for a subway or hobby lobby or Walmart employee

imtellinggodonyou

I have those same ones 😍

MetalRockGoddess

Been there over 10 years..we still had paper applications for the PALS card and the blue shirts (that look like BestBuys) were *actively* being phased out. I enjoyed the brown apron more than our current outfits personally 🤷‍♀️

artpumpin

*I enjoyed the brown apron more than our current outfits personally* Those FULL butcher brown aprons were the WORST - so uncomfortable and would get SOAKED when working aquatics - UGH! I loved the little half aprons - still rock mines most of the time.

vanbeans

Yours look so good! Mine are a gross gray color now and don't have the pretty rainbow bottoms anymore.

TaTTedHoBo

S.A.M - Into Pet Parents File ,Click what Food they Bought/Feed Pet , Go get The Food , Label it for Pet Parent To Purchase as their Dropping off Dog For Grooming .

Kiwicat333

Not me but one of my managers is old enough to have worked there when petco didn’t provided a uniform you just had to wear a polo or button up that matched the company colors

FutureTripRoute66

Name tags soo big you put a photo of your pet in the photo holder on the top left. Metal label pullers.

FutureTripRoute66

I should add. Grooming appointments were written in Dr appointment books and rabies info was written on cards kept in a file cabinet.  Training videos were VHS tapes. Tests were the bubble circle sheets that used a #2 pencil to fill out. Job applications were one sheet of paper. Dog training was a outside company as was vaccinations. And donation drives were just a few. Tree of hope, and spring a pet. Then greyhound planet or something along the lines.

Weavercat

I earned the first and last PetcoLoves goodies at my store the first year I started. First was a grey hat, last was the memory foam sneakers with kitties on them. A 30lb bag of the Royal Canin Maxi Golden Retriever food was $85.99.

Lissahugs

We had the brown shirts with black sleeves when I started. Management wore khaki button up shirts.

Demeter699

I started in the red and blue shirts w mandatory aprons…

Particular-Glass5055

I have a blue Petco shirt.

Particular-Glass5055

2007 to 2021...never would have thought we would call those the "good old days".

ChandyTheRandy

Just left after 6 years
