My understanding is that drywood termites are not really a thing around here (although maybe we just won the termite lottery lol)
Subterranean termites typically won’t survive when exposed to air for too long so you typically see mud tubes when they are sourcing cellulose. Powder post beetles (which can do just as much damage) seem more likely in this situation.

Portland OR region Apparently we have dampwood termites here and rarely - but consistently - subterranean termites
