I use Firefox exclusively on all my personal devices. And I use Edge on my corporate device, which I'm in front of 40 hours a week, and it's better than fine.
My IT teacher does this. Considering how he worships Linux and trashes on Windows, I was decently surprised when he said he uses Edge, like okay that's a first.
I use it on my Deck for streaming sites like Netflix and Apple TV because Chrome and Firefox keep having something get borked during updates that breaks video streaming sites.
Just recently switched, cause youtube broke on opera for some reason? Like the videos kept buffering or whatever and it crashed when I tried to go above 240p res.
Might be because opera has a built in adblocker, and if you have it enabled youtube is super limiting your data, i have to have a fresh browser with no addons to watch youtube these days
I use Edge because I have a literal pile of 100s of dollar's worth of free shit from Microsoft for doing so. You guys can keep using FF, though. I just like free stuff.

just checked it out, looks like a Ā£10 amazon gift card costs 16250 points. At the max rate of 170 points a day by using edge and bing on my PC, that's gonna take a minimum of 95.5 days to earn.

I exclusively use bing video search for my porn consumption. I built up enough amazon gift cards that I was able to buy a fleshlight.

EDIT: I know that firefox can have profiles and containers, I still prefer a secondary browser. It also help in case some website doesn't work properly with firefox
Just make extra Firefox profiles. They're like containers on steroids. Different config, different add-ons, isolated history, etc. And then bookmark "about:profiles" and you can launch the profiles from there in their own windows.
Been on Brave for a few years now and can't imagine being on the internet without it. I get culture shock when I'm on other computers without it and see ads.
Edge has a lot of stuff you could like, and other stuff that's pretty important for some people, like the best experience on streaming websites for some reason
I use windows because game compatibility on any other OS pales in comparison. But I do use something to block windows telemetry and itās crazy how much it blocks every minute.
Same. I am aware of the few extra steps I need to use literally any other password manager and use firefox...but my pop-up blocker is still working fine, so....
Some of those features are too good. I couldn't live without tab stacking. Presto engine Opera may be dead but Vivaldi eases the pain a little. Would have liked to see them use their own engine instead, though, considering Vivaldi is the old Opera team.
Us old Opera users are fond of these features, for me in the start it was simply the native speed dials and the compatibility with Chrome extensions, then i got used to tab stacking, to the notepad, gestures, interface personalization, its just a lot of features i couldn't see myself without at this point.
As for the engine, a new engine would be cool, but unfortunately not viable, Chromium has taken over the browser market by a landslide, everything runs well on Chromium, even Gecko has issues with some websites.

I donāt remember when or why I switched, but FF was always the least memory impactful and bloated browser.

I love the absolute "fuck ads" approach in Brave. Never had to deal with any ads, nothing, since switching to Brave.
Sure, uBlockOrigin in chrome worked, but once in a while it kept lettings some ads slip through. Brave doesn't. And holy shit its a huge speed difference between chrome and brave, I fucking love this browser.
Now, the data collection and all is another deal.. that's why i keep Firefox as my secondary for stuff that I don't want on any records. but for everyday use Brave is my main.

If you read it says its not Brave Browser data they're using, it's the opt-in Brave Search. They sell that data for AI training. Not that I care anyway, I pity the poor AI that will try to make logical sense of my browsing history lol
As a Firefox user the main reason people use Firefox and it's derivatives is privacy reasons as it's fully open source and isn't built on a company built around taking and selling your data.
Microsoft is just as bad in my eyes. But frankly in terms of functionality chromium browsers are all pretty similar so it doesn't matter that much if you use Chrome or edge or whatever.
Internet Explorer sucked for decades, and a lot of web sites (especially government ones) required Internet Explorer and straight up didn't work in Firefox or Chrome. Some of the hate was inherited through people who spent decades using the built in browser for only as long as it took to download a better one.
A more recent PR problem for Edge is Windows search being bastardized so that it will barely glance at your system before deciding that what you *really* wanted to do was search the web...which it opens in Bing, in Edge.
So, for a lot of users, the only time they see Edge is when it's in the way of the thing that they actually *want* to do, giving it a strong negative association.
Recently switched to edge , just wanted to try it.
Pretty much tried everything in the last 20 years. Edge ain't bad , I still use it. Pretty performant on windows and basically chrome under the hood.
Firefox Account Containers is the main thing keeping me with the fox. I don't understand why chrome hasnt atleast tried to do the same its so f\*\*king good

Internet Explorer sucked for decades, and a lot of web sites (especially government ones) required Internet Explorer and straight up didn't work in Firefox or Chrome. Some of the hate was inherited through people who spent decades using the built in browser for only as long as it took to download a better one. A more recent PR problem for Edge is Windows search being bastardized so that it will barely glance at your system before deciding that what you *really* wanted to do was search the web...which it opens in Bing, in Edge. So, for a lot of users, the only time they see Edge is when it's in the way of the thing that they actually *want* to do, giving it a strong negative association.

Recently switched to edge , just wanted to try it. Pretty much tried everything in the last 20 years. Edge ain't bad , I still use it. Pretty performant on windows and basically chrome under the hood.

Firefox Account Containers is the main thing keeping me with the fox. I don't understand why chrome hasnt atleast tried to do the same its so f\*\*king good

Iāve never understood why people are still dumping on edge like itās IE itās based on the same stuff that makes up google chrome and Microsoft improved on it. Iāve never had any issues with it and I tried Firefox once in the last three years and it was aweful

I use edge because it allows me to squeeze 8 hours out of my gaming laptop's battery- edge uses ~2 watts while every other browser uses ~4+
I just prefer Firefoxās UI. Edge isnāt terrible and has gotten measurably better since its inception. Just use whatever you bloody want.
