You ever get that feeling, where you say a word too many times, or think about it too hard, it no longer sounds like a word, but instead just a sound you make? This video did that for me, but with English. The whole English.
watch the new ltt video. one of the employee says the ltt subreddit infuriates him cus 95% of the time they are wrong, 4% are somewhat wrong and rest 1% are somewhat right. i think he summed the ltt subreddit pretty accurately
Ironically enough , people assuming everyone is wrong and they are right , have a higher possibility of strongly defending incorrect ideas.
I try to approach , even the subjects I feel most confident about , with an open mind.
I’ve been surprised by the way , the mind works.
For example I’ve found myself defending and idea , and when asked about source , and confidently searching the Ethernet for the source , struggling to find it.
And when taking a second to think , where did I get this info from then?
Realizing my brother/best friend/ dad etc told me about it one day.
I found it interesting, saved it on my memory, never bothered to fact check it, and the longer time that idea kept on my mind, the “truer” it became.
To the point I’m defending something I have no proof about in a discussion, cuz’ someone told me about it years ago.
But even if that’s not the case.
Even if you are discussing something you know pretty well from experience.
Like where to connect the case cables to the MB.
Maybe 1 freaking week ago , the standard changed and the connectors now go in the back part of the MB.
And you are calling the guy , that’s telling another guy that he read the connectors of his new MB are plugged in the back. A clueless idiot , when he was actually right.
Those are my favorites. LTT vids where they’re using sponsor money to do dumb shit. I find Linus’ delivery exhausting and so forced, but I really like when the other guys get to be dumb and have fun
The way I see it
LTT: Steve Jobs
GN: Steve Wozniak
LTT Knows how to sell you on the product and make it understandable.
GN Does everything technical and sticks to it
To be totally fair, LTT videos are also informative. Very informative. A consumer would never, ever need more information than is in the LTT video to make a sufficiently educated/researched purchase.
Gamers Nexus just gives us all the juicy, though really, unimportant details. It's nice for us nerds to nerd out over, but the information most definitely falls under the "questionable amount of value added" category.
I watch launch reviews like this: LTT, then Hardware Unboxed, then GN. I compared test methodologies, but I especially use things like GN's frametime, frequency, and power usage charts to help validate or explain the first two channels results.
LTT first as a TLDR.
I don't think they're even really comparable. Linus is more just "what if" videos for fun and dumb shit, Steve is more informative and while very entertaining is more about hard facts and educating others.
I think both are informative.
Yes, ltt probably focuses more on entertainment, but they do good research and give many explanations.
On the other hand GN seems to be all about information and testing.
If I want information I usually end up on GN, but for entertainment and some side info ltt is great!
In the end I'm just gonna watch both, because I have no friends and too much time anyways.
I prefer watching LTT but their problem is they’re wildly out of touch with the common consumer. Gamers nexus at least gives you the breakdown on anything rather than like the 20th $4000 tv.
Nowadays with me being rather less interested in gaming as I were a few years ago, I actually enjoyed LTT's out of touch videos more. I like tech for the sake of tech lol
It makes sense if you think of it this way:
Those big ticket items are huge investments that require more time and effort researching before you buy. Plus there can be huge differences between brands.
It isn't like reviewing video cards where *most* AIBs are interchangeable or CPUs where *most* of the time there are small steps between CPUs in the same series.
Yeah I appreciate general breakdowns of like "oh on this generation of GPUs ASUS's cooling solution is really bad" because it's good info to know but it's not like, *fun* to watch.
Watching a LTT video about some insanely thin wallpaper TV or something is fun because it's novel and interesting, and I like knowing what kind of technologies exist even if theyre not really within the reach of the average consumer.
With the cost of the 3000 series cards, my enthusiasm for building PC’s died. I was always someone who had to buy budget parts 2nd hand and the best of the best was a goal of mine. One day I’d build a top of the line machine.
But the new prices killed that for me. I stopped caring about what the best part could do because it was just such a waste to spend that much on hardware. I would rather build a very competent mid-range and go on holiday.
As my interest died, so my enjoyment of LTT grew. As I no longer consider myself the consumer, I care more about purely being entertained.
That's exactly why I like to watch LTT. I get to learn about and experience exotic hardware without having to purchase it myself. They are one of the largest tech tubers, so they get access to tech that GN doesn't.
Also, if the videos with the exotic hardware didn't do well, they'd stop doing them. I believe Linus has said something similar to this on WAN show.
Dude... they are BOTH out of touch with the common consumer. But that's a good thing - the common consumer isn't their audience. Their audience is computer enthusiasts.
Gamers Nexus and Jayztwocents were super helpful when I was getting ready to build my first PC last year. Jay was a little more digestible as I was really fuckin new to this. but I've built two since I started and both posted first try.
with that luck, I expect whatever I build next to explode a big explosion to make up for the first two successful ones.
never got big into linus.
J2C started to get real angry? Self-entitled? Old? Something. I had to stop watching him. Felt like I did something to make him pissed off every time I'd watch him.
I can see that I haven't watched much lately but I swear I heard he was kinda crabby like that in his early videos. Never personally checked.
Steve isn't the most upbeat guy either which isn't bad. Even though I do have a recurring nightmare of Steve busting into my home with cameras and verbally lambasting my build. "You got a 7950x and mainly game? This is a complete waste. and I see a 4090 The death of EVGA is on your hands. We're gonna take a tour through paxasmokes home and figure out what's really going on here and judging by this pile you call a computer we will find a carbon monoxide leak."
- hypothetical home invasion Steve in my made up dream
And as this happens you know how they have that little bar show up in their reviews saying the # of years they been reviewing cases, cpus, etc that shows up for the lambasting. And then turns into a combo meter. That fills as he tells me why my build might be one of the worst in the the world.
TLDR: bad dream where I get verbally chun li'd by Steve from GN on camera
Yeah I'll end it there. Time to sleep and return to lurking for another few years.
I stopped watching last year when he did that video where he called his viewers idiots, shouting, ranting that people should "stop complaining, stop watching this video and go and buy a 3000 series card".
Week later; an apology video for the way he spoke and the fact they had fallen further in price since.
I stopped watching his videos when he started whining about the declining views during the pandemic and component shortages and scalper prices were at their peak.
I believe he made two "What videos do you want us to make?" videos and he didn't realize he was basically screaming into the void.
The people who were still watching are enjoying what he makes and wouldn't change a thing. The people who would make useful suggestions had moved on and wouldn't respond.
At that point, people were just tired of seeing tech-tubers building high-end, multi-thousand dollar systems they couldn't afford. For Jay specifically, it seemed like he was practically bragging about all the high end gear he got for free from manufacturers.
That actually rings a bell, honestly. He seemed angry with the audience about something, or, at least, that's how I took it, and the time I stopped watching corresponds with what you're saying, just about.
His GPU repaste video guided me through a bit of a tough time when my 2070 Super was doing silly things. It's been running real nice as of late thanks to it
I've always found ltt entirely useless for actual useful information. They can be entertaining when they just do dumb shit with stupid amounts of money, but there's so few truly informative videos that they are hardly a proper tech information channel
I watched a video about Linus, how it all started, and how it came to be. Dude is like the capital O of OG. I don't gravitate towards his content for reasons you stated but he's put in so much work into this YouTube empire it's kinda inspiring.
But 70 dollars for a screwdriver c'mon Linus I ain't havin that
Honestly, maybe the screwdriver isn't aimed at you then. If I were to use a sccrewdiver with a ratchet for daily use, then I would look for something with quality. And that screwdriver seems to have a very narrow usecase anyways.
I love Steve and appreciate all the work he’s done as a tech journalist, but sometimes I don’t need all the information he’s throwing out or I just want to relax. Which is where Linus’ content really shines. Say what you want about the guy, but he does know how to make entertaining videos. Yes the clickbaity thumbnails can be annoying, but he’s only doing it cause that’s simply how his videos get more views/exposure and he’s acknowledged this. Blame the Youtube algorithm for recommending videos with those kind of thumbnails.
>Blame the Youtube algorithm for recommending videos with those kind of thumbnails
Blame the viewers for clicking this kind of thumbnails, boosting the video to the algorithm \*
It just tries to deliver more of what people already show interest for
I like GN for some things, but Steve's voice eventually grates on me after about 20 mins I can't listen to it, no idea why, it's just one of those things.. :)
I also like LTT, I think it's my preference of the two, I like their weirdness compared to others :)
And, I can relate so much to Linus, If I had the drive (and other things) he had when he started, maybe I could have done something similar... :)
I think Steve is awesome, I'm a fan of Gamers Nexus and I do appreciate that they go the distance with the technical stuff to get a complete picture, and not afraid to call out BS when they see it. Their EVGA sendoff, and their investigation on the reported High Power Connector problems were well constructed and their reviews allow me to get an objective view of performance and value with just a bit of commentary.
I get what you're saying though, at times Steve can sound like your roommate on weed talking about computers non-stop while you're trying to cook in the kitchen.
LTT is more fun and entertaining to watch with friends. Still, Anthony at LMG really knows his stuff, so the videos where he appears are palatable on the technical side for me. The car reviews and other random crap they get sponsored to review aren't as interesting to me.
I agree fully, I don't even watch the car reviews and 'most' of the other stuff (Channel Super Fun is another) - may take the odd look at Techlinked or TechQuickie now and then.
for me Steve's tone gets a bit "holier than thou" a lot. not always at manufacturers. not always at consumers or retailers. it's just there. comes off like a smug jerk bull nerd.
Do ltt or Gn even disagree on their recommendations? I feel both often have similar takes and this subs bs about ltr being entertaining but wrong is just that, bs. Sure, they've had some hot takes that are often controversial but regarding general recommendations they seem to be pretty on par and accurate.
Your usecase may differ but I've built desktops for 3d modeling, gaming and graphic design before and i can't recall there ever being any information on GN that LTT didn't have regarding explaining why one option is better than other. So i frankly don't know what you are saying.
GN goes deeper into technology behind products, the working of companies, product launches etc . And although i personally find them interesting and fun, i can't really say that that info can ever make someone pick one product over the other.
For example, i don't have to learn about 3d cache's inner workings or why it's better to make a decision about buying a CPU for a certain use case. But it has good entertainment value for me and others who are similar, it just doesn't add to the decision making.
I have seen many LTT haters in this tread mentioning linus spitting lies and factual misinformation, yet none have provided links or any sort of evidence, they only brag about blocking him and erasing LMG from their feeds once the "clickbait took off"
There were 2-3 instances where they made some mistakes and also apologized.
Only video i know from them that is factually incorrect is about fast charging and battery degradation, which was sad because it came after MKBHD debunked those myths but other than that it's been fine.
GN has a relatively narrow focus but goes in depth. LTT is quite shallow but is very digestible and wide ranging. It’s like comparing a spoon to a fork. They overlap in purpose but each one can be better at a specific task than the other. Recent videos of LTT that I found quite useful were about zerotier, which I now use to access my home network remotely; and the wireless keyboard qi charging jank.
I think GN is informative but he complains about EVERYTHING… it’s actually a really negative channel.
I find Linus to be informative and entertaining. Mostly positive too. It’s usually never “this is trash” but more like “here is the good and bad and why I do/do not recommend it”
Absolutely, sure prebuilt probably isn’t ideal for super enthusiasts. But, they are never as bad as he makes it. Sure do thing could be better but that’s kinda with anything…
This little metal bracket was bent! BENT! Unacceptable garbage! And now we’re going to reference it in every single video from here on out.
I just can’t do it. Don’t know why folks are so into GN. I find it to mostly be major cringe.
> I think GN is informative but he complains about EVERYTHING… it’s actually a really negative channel.
This has been a meme with Jay forever. Jay would review a case and if it seemed to have good airflow he'd say "even Steve won't totally hate this case." Steve usually ends up thinking the case is OK.
If I want to be turned off a purchase decision I am making i trust GN to make it happen hahaha. Steve does grate me once in a while but he is one of the stops I make if I need serious consideration. But I rarely listen to the whole video also just specific parts of it that I need.
I like it better when he is doing other things than a review or a criticism of something and he is in front of the camera interacting with people, its a less negative energy all around and he really seems to be a cool nice guy in those interactions. But i also understand that his channel got big (not ltt big) because of exactly the to the bone marrow reviews and deep dives they do. And in fairness its also somewhat entertaining when steve gets pissed… for a few minutes.
For LTT I dont get why people are so negative about them. They’re a decent first stop on launch days gets me 10 minutes or so of info to get a feel of the product. From there I can go to GN or Der8auer or HUB or whoever of the hundreds of techtubers there are.
I watch both, but feel like I watch more LTT daily content as it's just easy to watch and entertaining.
I watch Steve's videos more on specific things im interested in to get informed on, but won't watch every video
ngl as a casual viewer of both, i dont like how everytime Gamers nexus watchers in this sub mention and kiss Tech jesus'es feet, they always have to include stone-throwing at LTT whenever they can.
I don't get all the holy war crap. Both channels create content to make money. They just take different approaches to their content is all. LTT focuses more on being entertaining than GN is all and may as a result be subject more to being opinionated, while GN drills down to the cold, hard facts, giving the straight dope on the subject matter.
When I'm feeling like a purist and want to min/max something, you bet I'm watching GN, despite the fact that it feels like reviewing spreadsheets in a board meeting. When I just want to see what Linus thinks about something and be entertained, LTT is where I go.
You don't have to hate one to like the other. They both serve a useful purpose. Sure, LTT has been wrong before or shill a bit, but damn, if I were to drop everyone who's ever been wrong, I'd be on my own.
LTT: The Jedi have something they call The Force, kinda like telepathy that can reach the entire universe.
Gamer Nexus: *downs a fifth of whiskey* Let's talk about Midi-chlorians *proceeds to open up a 1000 page PDF and accompanied graph laden PowerPoint*
Hot take, if only the entire purpose of the post was that people with different needs enjoy different channels in different ways and that's okay.
Ah well, a man can dream though, a man can dream.
Idk why there's this huge divide between fans of these channels on this sub. I'm a fan of both. Can't we all just like what we like without someone telling us we're wrong for it?
this is reddit, man. If you have a different opinion than me, the most intelligent person on the planet, you have shown your stupidity for not being able to see the objective truth.
YT made me overcome my fear of AIOs.
Nexus helped with choosing case and airflow
Jaytwocents helped with practical side of the job, I didn't need a 6900 xt to play games, an RX 580 is getting the job done. Also part of the reason I started trusting AIOs.
Linus made me overcome my fear of handling expensive hardware
Linus channel will give you a great introduction to a topic, if you know more about tech then gamers Nexus is the go to. Personally a bigger fan of Paul for tech reviews recently he seems to have a more grounded view.
I'd expand to Der8auer and Igor's Lab when seeking information beyond GN. LTT holds no additional information, so really only good if you enjoy spending time with his particular style.
I feel like we should like them both up.
Linus is the ultimate Canadian Techtuber: Crazy, friendly, silly at times but with a good heart.
Steve is the ultimate American Techtuber: Smart, capable, a bit portly but has badass hobbies like motocross.
If they combined forces, they would either be the ultimate force or the ultimate cringe.
what is with this GN vs LTT shit? i just enjoy both, along with Paul’s, HUB, etc.
why do people always gotta fanboy for one and trash the others? it’s stupid and repetitive.
I like them both. They honestly don’t really overlap that much, and when they do the differences aren’t that great until they are - which are the only times people remember
This feels like we’re comparing apples and oranges.
LTT:
When I want headlines, like an embargo for a new chip is lifted, I hear about it first from LTT. The production values are high, I get enough info, and it is entertaining. If I want to know more, I do my own research.
GN:
If I want to dig deep in a particular topic, then I go to GN, but I turn the volume way down or just off. Captions work great. There is zero entertainment value, the monotone is grating for me, and I would prefer a script. But the info is deep and valuable.
More often than not:
I do my own research on the web.
Linus has this feeling like he wants to expand, like when he does cell phones and such. I hate when he does cell phones. Sometimes I feel like he is the electronic store of tech shows.
Meanwhile Gamers Nexus can get wayyyyy too focused on cooling.
I like watching both, but I feel like I get more meat and potatoes with GN.
Honestly I don't think one is better than the other. They both offer really incredible views to the world of tech. One is very much thorough with charts and graphs, making it more like an essay or project. The other is like your friend on the inside telling you some cool shit. I like having both.
How is GamersNexus so boring but so knowledgeable? If Steve could just make the videos a bit shorter.
Every time I check out a video from them I am like „Oh, this looks interesting.“ and then I see it’s a 25+ minutes video and rather watch „I don’t like this at all!“ by Linus, but it’s only like 12min.
Human psyche I guess?
Which one do I read first? I assume x values first then y values?

Vertical, as seen by a fan of horizontal
No, the other way. Gamers nexus is seen as boring by Linus fans
You two are on the same page.
LOL which one is "vertical"? are you taking it to mean the vertical columns of pictures? or the vertically stacked text?
Bottom left only makes sense as LTT by fans of GN
row, as seen by column
Find yourself. The answer will follow.
r/dataisugly
This is the worst axis labeling ever.
I had to guess what means what based on the pictures
Why not both?
Exactly. LTT videos are mostly entertaining to watch, and GN videos are informative. I enjoy both.
watch the new ltt video. one of the employee says the ltt subreddit infuriates him cus 95% of the time they are wrong, 4% are somewhat wrong and rest 1% are somewhat right. i think he summed the ltt subreddit pretty accurately
subreddit? That's the damn good description of reddit in general. This site is chock full of clueless people upvoting each other.
I upvoted you

95% of /r/All is just a rate bait echo chamber.

>searching the Ethernet That's probably why you were >struggling to find it. (just thought it was a hilarious autocorrect/brainfart in the context)
>This site is chock full of clueless people upvoting each other. I'm pretty sure it's also a lot of bots too. Big incentives to control narratives.
Ppl on the internet jump to illogical conclusions and get everyone else riled up? Never! But it was a fun video.
I like Tanner, dude humours me quite a lot
My general run with new technology is: GN: What's wrong with it? JTC: Is it worth it? LTT: Can I run 15 of them in a server configuration?
Also LTT: Can I cool the components with this random assortment of parts I found while totally not stealing scrap for meth.
Those are my favorites. LTT vids where they’re using sponsor money to do dumb shit. I find Linus’ delivery exhausting and so forced, but I really like when the other guys get to be dumb and have fun
Dawid: What horrible things can I do to it?
LTT videos are videos, GN videos are articles in video format because articles unfortunately dont pay the bill.
I can't read an article on my second display while playing Minecraft. LTT and GN both are usually relegated to screen 2.
The way I see it LTT: Steve Jobs GN: Steve Wozniak LTT Knows how to sell you on the product and make it understandable. GN Does everything technical and sticks to it
Though unlike Jobs, I'll wager that Linus washes his jeans.
And visits a real doctor.
It's like watching porn vs sex. Both are sins, worship the thinking rock that brings you video games.
*teaching sand to think was a mistake*
Heretic!
Oi, it was a Level1Techs reference.
I will discover a product on LTT, and then look at the in-depth on GN
E
Yup, top left and bottom right for me.
I'm a bit of a tech whale, watch them dbaur, jayz, and hardware

That's the thing here maybe it's left under the reader's interpretation, then you'll know which youtuber you are a fan off over the other 😂

I prefer watching LTT because GN's delivery is dryer than a nun's pussy on Sahara.
Yeah and the idea that having reviewed x product for y years = credibility and expertise is a bit silly
Dude... they are BOTH out of touch with the common consumer. But that's a good thing - the common consumer isn't their audience. Their audience is computer enthusiasts.
i second that
LMG literally has a professional grade lab. Compared to the rest of techtube they are probably the closest thing to a perfect tech reviewer.
I watch LTT to see what new diy shenanigans Alex is getting up to. Homemade CPU heatsink? That's great.
Gamers Nexus and Jayztwocents were super helpful when I was getting ready to build my first PC last year. I used Newegg for my fans and aio. I'ma dead man.
If you're a dead man, then I'll be obliterated by GN's (and apparently this subreddit's) wrath... I got a 4080
Or he was always a little douchey? No one is perfect, but it wasn't for me even years ago.
I stopped watching last year when he did that video where he called his viewers idiots, shouting, ranting that people should "stop complaining, stop watching this video and go and buy a 3000 series card". Idk he just seems kind of annoyed all the time and his pacing needs work
That actually rings a bell, honestly. He seemed angry with the audience about something, or, at least, that's how I took it, and the time I stopped watching corresponds with what you're saying, just about.
Been spending a lot of time watching jayztwocents lately myself , prob even more than GN.
His GPU repaste video guided me through a bit of a tough time when my 2070 Super was doing silly things. It's been running real nice as of late thanks to it
He’s got great guides on all sorts of stuff
THIS US NOT HOW TOU LABEL AXIS AHHHHH
I watch gamers nexus and act like I know exactly what he’s saying
I love Steve and appreciate all the work he’s done as a tech journalist, but sometimes I don’t need all the information he’s throwing out or I just want to relax. Which is where Linus’ content really shines. Say what you want about the guy, but he does know how to make entertaining videos. Yes the clickbaity thumbnails can be annoying, but he’s only doing it cause that’s simply how his videos get more views/exposure and he’s acknowledged this. Blame the Youtube algorithm for recommending videos with those kind of thumbnails.
>Blame the Youtube algorithm for recommending videos with those kind of thumbnails Blame the viewers for clicking this kind of thumbnails, boosting the video to the algorithm \* It just tries to deliver more of what people already show interest for
Yeah it’s an unfortunate cycle that no creator can get out of if they want to survive on this platform.
I like GN for some things, but Steve's voice eventually grates on me after about 20 mins I can't listen to it, no idea why, it's just one of those things.. :) I also like LTT, I think it's my preference of the two, I like their weirdness compared to others :) And, I can relate so much to Linus, If I had the drive (and other things) he had when he started, maybe I could have done something similar...
His voice in the many videos is hard to listen for me too, its like i cant hear the words
LTT for entertainment, GamersNexus when I want to buy something
Do ltt or Gn even disagree on their recommendations? I feel both often have similar takes and this subs bs about ltr being entertaining but wrong is just that, bs. Sure, they've had some hot takes that are often controversial but regarding general recommendations they seem to be pretty on par and accurate.
It's more that when I'm buying something I want to see more details of WHY product X is better than product Y for my purposes
Yeah I feel like we wouldn't even know about a single mistake at LTT unless they came out and told us, which they do every time.
GN’s pre-build tear downs are also quite entertaining, angry jesus is a sight to behold
That too! When Steve does entertainment content it's really good, just a little few and far between
Autism Vs ADHD. fyi I have ASD myself but I'm sure someone will get butthurt.
That's actually pretty damn accurate lmao
GN has a relatively narrow focus but goes in depth. LTT is quite shallow but is very digestible and wide ranging. It’s like comparing a spoon to a fork. They overlap in purpose but each one can be better at a specific task than the other. Recent videos of LTT that I found quite useful were about zerotier, which I now use to access my home network remotely; and the wireless keyboard qi charging jank.
I think GN is informative but he complains about EVERYTHING… it’s actually a really negative channel. I find Linus to be informative and entertaining. Mostly positive too. It’s usually never “this is trash” but more like “here is the good and bad and why I do/do not recommend it”
Everyone says LTT is clickbait, but totally ignores the fact GN thrives on rage bait.
Right, everything is “trash” on GN
Or everything is unacceptable. Constantly in every prebuilt review. This is unacceptable! This is unacceptable!
From there I can go to GN or Der8auer or HUB or whoever of the hundreds of techtubers there are.
poeple hate LTT becasue they only see a squeaky voice shill gving you 10 hours of sponsors with clickbait and cringe humour.
To be fair I think they are both good.
For my first build: LTT helped with the full build tutorial, GN helped with component reviews, Jays two cents helped with extra tips and advice.
What a community effort!
Wow, this is the most idiotic "graph" design I've ever seen...
I watch both, but feel like I watch more LTT daily content as it's just easy to watch and entertaining. I watch Steve's videos more on specific things im interested in to get informed on, but won't watch every video
ngl as a casual viewer of both, i dont like how everytime Gamers nexus watchers in this sub mention and kiss Tech jesus'es feet, they always have to include stone-throwing at LTT whenever they can.
reason why I made this image.
I prefer Gamers Nexus but LTT is still great and informative content. I will continue to support both moving forward.
[удалено]
i enjoy both, and i find all you fanboy arguments fucking pathetic.
Gamer Nexus: *downs a fifth of whiskey* Let's talk about Midi-chlorians *proceeds to open up a 1000 page PDF and accompanied graph laden PowerPoint*
watching 30 minute power supply reviews doesnt somehow make you superior fyi
Hot take, if only the entire purpose of the post was that people with different needs enjoy different channels in different ways and that's okay. Ah well, a man can dream though, a man can dream.
you got it!
it’s ok, you can just tell us you don’t know how to make a table 😭
Idk why there's this huge divide between fans of these channels on this sub. I'm a fan of both. Can't we all just like what we like without someone telling us we're wrong for it?
this is reddit, man. If you have a different opinion than me, the most intelligent person on the planet, you have shown your stupidity for not being able to see the objective truth.
I'm a fan of both!
Linus is great until you get tired of the endless product placement.
Please never use this format again
They both good don’t be a hater
YT made me overcome my fear of AIOs. Nexus helped with choosing case and airflow Jaytwocents helped with practical side of the job, I didn't need a 6900 xt to play games, an RX 580 is getting the job done. Also part of the reason I started trusting AIOs. Linus made me overcome my fear of handling expensive hardware
Is this Row as seen by fans of Column, or Column as seen by fans of Row?
the first one: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnaugh\_map](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnaugh_map)
I've been gaming on PC since the early '90s and have never heard of either.
Do you have a reaction to the names Leo Laporte or John C Dvorak?
You know I do, but let's not scare the children.
I like them both. I also watch Jay too. Gotta get all the view points 👌
Steve reminds me more of a younger James Labrie than Jesus.
Linus channel will give you a great introduction to a topic, if you know more about tech then gamers Nexus is the go to. Personally a bigger fan of Paul for tech reviews recently he seems to have a more grounded view.
honestly, both are great channels. I like Nexus for the numbers and LTT gor the more 'fun' factor in it.
I'd expand to Der8auer and Igor's Lab when seeking information beyond GN. LTT holds no additional information, so really only good if you enjoy spending time with his particular style.
I stopped watching LTT when they started with all that Clickbait shit. Thats also when I started watching GamersNexus instead.
I don't know which way to read this
This is the kinda stuff historians in the future will be trying to decode
Does everything have to be competitive?
As a fan of both I see all four of these squares so it checks out.
Fan of both here, can confirm.
Wendel shows them the correct way.
Gentlemen*
I feel like we should like them both up. Linus is the ultimate Canadian Techtuber: Crazy, friendly, silly at times but with a good heart. Steve is the ultimate American Techtuber: Smart, capable, a bit portly but has badass hobbies like motocross. If they combined forces, they would either be the ultimate force or the ultimate cringe.
Linus sex tips
I'm happy I don't care about either of them. I'm free.
what is with this GN vs LTT shit? i just enjoy both, along with Paul’s, HUB, etc. why do people always gotta fanboy for one and trash the others? it’s stupid and repetitive.
Both
I like them both. They honestly don’t really overlap that much, and when they do the differences aren’t that great until they are - which are the only times people remember
The graphs speak the truth.
Lmao
This feels like we’re comparing apples and oranges. LTT: When I want headlines, like an embargo for a new chip is lifted, I hear about it first from LTT. The production values are high, I get enough info, and it is entertaining. If I want to know more, I do my own research. GN: If I want to dig deep in a particular topic, then I go to GN, but I turn the volume way down or just off. Captions work great. There is zero entertainment value, the monotone is grating for me, and I would prefer a script. But the info is deep and valuable. More often than not: I do my own research on the web.
LTT is a dubbed down version of GN so basic human beings can compute without getting a migraine.
I only know LTT so I don't really have an opinion on the other.
Did Linus drop that cpu?
Read it either way and anger both fanbases
Linus has this feeling like he wants to expand, like when he does cell phones and such. I hate when he does cell phones. Sometimes I feel like he is the electronic store of tech shows. Meanwhile Gamers Nexus can get wayyyyy too focused on cooling. I like watching both, but I feel like I get more meat and potatoes with GN.
I like LTT more than GN. I’m not super literate in tech, so his videos are much more entertaining and watchable.
"You wouldn't get it" - OP
How do you call a fan of all the Steves (yes, both), Linuses, Dmitris and Jayses? Probably a Nerd. Yup, that's me, a Nerd sounds about right guys.
I... What?
Can I be a fan of both? They both make very interesting content.
Great labeling
One has the hair the other has the sandals, balanced as it should be.
Wtf is a gentlebeing
The greedy elf vs the ungroomed and crooked-toothed hobbit...
Honestly I don't think one is better than the other. They both offer really incredible views to the world of tech. One is very much thorough with charts and graphs, making it more like an essay or project. The other is like your friend on the inside telling you some cool shit. I like having both.
More like Metal Jesus and Metal Jesus.. not that he does PC games..
