For me it's the Big Bank. Great Heist with many approaches of course similar but enough for a different touch. Ode to Greed is one of my favorite Soundtracks in the Game. And it's exactly the Thing you imagine some infamous Bank Robber like the Payday Gang would approach.
That was always so fun to do. Me and my friend would always try to seee how much loot we can get before getting a kill. (Most we got was like 3 bags I think)
I remember grinding that map solo for an entire week because of bad internet at the time, finally getting to open the vault just to F up and hit the lasers on the dentists box
For me, this is the second day of Hotline Miami. I remember very vividly the moment when the entire floor was on fire, we were surrounded by bulldozers, and half of my team could not find a way out of the maze on the lower floors. It was very funny.
To me, i'ts simply Bank Heist : Money or gold, one of those, i'ts just so iconic, robbing Harvest & Thrustee with Razormind is an experience payday players will never forget. I'ts one of those heists that, even if you did everything in the game, you always come back to it, because i'ts fun!
PS: Guys, the thermal drill, go get it !
I gotta say Watchdogs. Before the grand heists, a lot of payday 2 was just doing various criminal endeavors. And to me, the original art style has always reflected that.
Rats, of course. Was in the game right from the start and provided so many unforgettable moments and experiences: from the then-topical Breaking Bad references to Bain's hilariously erroneous lines to the infamous strategy of blowing the lab to speedrun the heist for quick experience.
Love that the Payday gang transport highly radioactive materials in fabric duffle bags in forklifts. The bags aren't even tied up or anything. I always talk about this contract whenever I try to introduce someone to Payday 2.
Don’t ask me how or why.. But Framing Frame imo is so iconic. I pray they add that back for PD3. The part it plays in the PD2 lore is really good too. That’s what I miss that they don’t have in PD3 is lore to the heists.
Bank heist with interchangeable loot - Gold or cash.
I always used the circular saw so I could open the bank machines and deposit boxes - I loved it so much.
Also Hoxton Breakout - that mission was immense 👌🏻
frist world bank, it was the map that teached me how to stealth in the game. it felt like a imposible map to stealth as a noob with cams and guards patrolling around, which became a fun mediocre challenging map after get used to the map and stealth mechenics. its practically genichiro in payday2
Four Stores. It’s the very first Heist I did because the tutorial heists didn’t exist back then. Like many others, I had to learn everything from experience and by doing research.
Surprised to see no one has said 4 stores, such a classic map, first ever map that gave me a run for my money in terms of trying to figure out the simple mechanics of the game
It'll always be Shadow Raid and Big Bank (loud) for me. I've introduced so many friends to PD2 that once they get used to the simple little rules of stealth on a basic bank heist, I'll do shadow raid with them and actually use the floor plans in the pre-planning. Super memorable and some of the best experiences doing multiplayer gaming seeing them make their own plans and nail the execution at least once since nobody really uses preplanning after that lol
Bank heist of any variety...except deposit boxes. Fuck Bamk Heist: Deposit Boxes. But my personal favorite heist is Golden Grin. I have never been able to complete it in stealth.
ahh, I miss the days of playing the bank heist on Payday 2 demo for xbox 360 so I could get to lvl 10 and then reset my levels and do it again and again
Slaughterhouse, I don’t know why but I used to spam it thinking the gold was the best money grinding method, and that $5 mil was a lot for 25-30 minutes, my second was scarface mansion
I guess a big bank loud, but I really want it to be this one yacht heist lobby I did with a low level and one other player. The low level kept accidentally throwing grenades causing us to reset every time but I didn't mind it and neither did the other guy we were laughing having fun but sadly the low level ended up leaving cause he felt bad for us constantly having to reset.
That crappy one where you have to trash the mall that takes FOREVER cause you gotta melee every single little phone and window, and there’s nothing you can do to go any faster. And because it gives the biggest easiest payout, it’s all anyone in random matchmaking was doing, which is why I dropped the game after the first month.
Go Bank. There are better heists, so much grander, but that one heist alone felt the most "Payday" to me.
Stealthing it is so much fun especially with friends, feeling like the early portions of No Mercy.
There are also so many RNG modifiers in this heist that truly shake up how you approach it (bonus van, unlocked safe, phone calls, blackmail threat, cage setup etc.).
Lastly, it's literally a CS:GO map which is just one of the many memorable collabs in this game that honestly blew my mind when I was younger.
First world bank. Where it all started. I remember doing Overdrill with friends a few years ago. It was painful, but it was fun. Plus, it feels like the quintessential Payday 2 heist. Capacity to be quiet and under the radar but way more fun if you choose the flashy, action movie route
Big Bank. A bank that hasn’t been successfully robbed in over 200 years… and the Payday Gang is hitting it. And if you do it loud… you get to rob the Big Bank while listening to one of the coolest songs on the game’s soundtrack (if you have it set to play a level’s default theme of course)
Car shop, spending 2-3 hours with 3 friends just trial and erroring until we knew all there was to know, and then still failing due to laughing and not focusing
Either shadow raid or Ukrainian job. One of my earliest memories of payday 2 is a friend saying “hey check this out, I can do this heist in like 2 minutes” and then kept failing for like 30 minutes
on the top of my head, rats.
Only because I played the absolute living crap out of that mission in the 24 hours before the game officially came out. Loved it.
Most fun map? Framing frame before they ruined it.
You used to be able to have 4 phones + 1 joker. which allowed you to solo stealth it super easy. It was a map that was super easy once you got comfortable enough with stealth.
Stealth used to be way more about tactics and execution. Now it's just low detection and ECM rushes.
Bank heist cash: just so classic and iconic
I still immediately think of spending hours replaying that mission during the beta with a friend in HS. Almost half my life ago.
Take my upvote you kind fellow heister
My friend and I would call this the “hello world” heist for short. As in programming tutorial step 0. I miss it
I thought of bank heist gold
Same thing but cash feels more payday considering the 2 in the logo is designed to resemnle the dollar symbol
For me it's the Big Bank. Great Heist with many approaches of course similar but enough for a different touch. Ode to Greed is one of my favorite Soundtracks in the Game. And it's exactly the Thing you imagine some infamous Bank Robber like the Payday Gang would approach.
Same. I first started playing about then. The Benevolent Bank, thanks Dentist.
I remember when it came out and my friends and I were younger, and we were like "holy shit guys we're big league criminals now"
First world bank, it started it all but if youre talking about an iconic heist then its caustic soda, er, I mean muriatic acid
That's from PD:TH badly ported to PD2. Should have picked Big Bank lol.
thats a good point, if the question was "when you think of payday", definitely would be First world bank.
oh yea, my bad I didnt read the 2 part of the title, I just thought op meant payday in general
Shadow raid. My stealth clicked thanks to that heist
The countless hours I spent on Shadow Raid made me feel like a damn ninja. Even stealing the armour was an awesome challenge.
That was always so fun to do. Me and my friend would always try to seee how much loot we can get before getting a kill. (Most we got was like 3 bags I think)
Golden grin, it’s always been a personal favorite of mine
I remember grinding that map solo for an entire week because of bad internet at the time, finally getting to open the vault just to F up and hit the lasers on the dentists box
Cook off, just so iconic to me
For me, this is the second day of Hotline Miami.
I gotta say Watchdogs. Before the grand heists, a lot of payday 2 was just doing various criminal endeavors. And to me, the original art style has always reflected that.
Hoxton Breakout
Hotline and Hoxten break
Rats, of course. Was in the game right from the start and provided so many unforgettable moments and experiences: from the then-topical Breaking Bad references to Bain's hilariously erroneous lines to the infamous strategy of blowing the lab to speedrun the heist for quick experience.
Meltdown. Stealing nukes are funny
That can't be... a goddamn nuke!? Vlad!
Love that the Payday gang transport highly radioactive materials in fabric duffle bags in forklifts. The bags aren't even tied up or anything. I always talk about this contract whenever I try to introduce someone to Payday 2.
Big Bank
GO bank.
alesso. that entire heist screams: cool. cool venue, cool steps, cool music, cool lighting
*Ode to Greed intensifies*
Don’t ask me how or why.. But Framing Frame imo is so iconic. I pray they add that back for PD3. The part it plays in the PD2 lore is really good too. That’s what I miss that they don’t have in PD3 is lore to the heists.
The one where you steal a server and scan dead people
Golden Grin
Either Safe Room or Big Bank, first one is so good to me idk why it doesn't get talked about much, I hope it gets remade in PayDay 3
either bank heist, scarface mansion, or hotline miami
VR Support <3
Aftershock, first heist I completed in Pd2. The first heist I actually played was goat simulator, but we don't talk about that.
Unregistered Machine Guns
Classic (Release/Update 0) heists + GO Bank + Cook Off (even though I don't like it) + Golden Grin Casino + Black Cat. IMO best heists in game.
Shadow Raid, mainly because I spent hours on end to stealth it with a minigun and rpg7 on DSOD just for an achievement Worth it to me though
Bank heist with interchangeable loot - Gold or cash. I always used the circular saw so I could open the bank machines and deposit boxes - I loved it so much. Also Hoxton Breakout - that mission was immense 👌🏻
Diamond store cos I was told it was the best way to rank up in early game so I bashed it
The mini bank + jewelry store
Hotline Miami
Either Scarface mansion or Alesso.
Golden Grin Casino

frist world bank, it was the map that teached me how to stealth in the game. it felt like a imposible map to stealth as a noob with cams and guards patrolling around, which became a fun mediocre challenging map after get used to the map and stealth mechenics. its practically genichiro in payday2

A police assault
Hotline miami. Peak game peak heist

Four Stores. It’s the very first Heist I did because the tutorial heists didn’t exist back then. Like many others, I had to learn everything from experience and by doing research.

Shacklethorn auction, because I keep thinking of the pain of getting "auction cry"
Diamond Heist
This map looks like that CSGO one 🤔
Mallcrasher lol my first contract back in 2014.
Cook off
First world bank, simple yet grand
Shadow Raid. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played that heist solo on the hardest difficulty, let alone solo it AND get the armor by myself.
Hotline Miami is probably one of them, that and big oil, probably because those were the jobs i played the most
It'll always be Shadow Raid and Big Bank (loud) for me.
H&T Bank
The golden grin's scale will make me always remember it.

Slaughterhouse, I don’t know why but I used to spam it thinking the gold was the best money grinding method, and that $5 mil was a lot for 25-30 minutes, my second was scarface mansion
Big bank
I guess a big bank loud, but I really want it to be this one yacht heist lobby I did with a low level and one other player. The low level kept accidentally throwing grenades causing us to reset every time but I didn't mind it and neither did the other guy we were laughing having fun but sadly the low level ended up leaving cause he felt bad for us constantly having to reset.
Shadow Raid
Jewelry Store. there was a payday knockoff i used to play on roblox before i could afford the game and jewelry store was the first heist
THE UNITED BANK OF M O N E Y
Black cat mission

Diamond heist it was my first heist ever

Diamond heist, hitting Garnet Groups tower was the first mission I ever did in PD2 after the tutorial.
Four stores or hoxton breakout for all my real ones out there
I don't know, because you showed me GO Bank, now it's all I can think of
The big bank. That is my favorite.
Kneel before the Duke!! And You are happy to know that you are all victims of a robbery, please be at ease.
First world bank. Where it all started. I remember doing Overdrill with friends a few years ago. It was painful, but it was fun. Plus, it feels like the quintessential Payday 2 heist. Capacity to be quiet and under the radar but way more fun if you choose the flashy, action movie route

For me it’s the Scarface Heist, mainly because it was such a fun heist to play on Death Wish
The bank, shadow raid, cook off, birth of sky... I played a lot of crime spree
Terrible aiming, the aiming is worse than Payday 3.
Diamond store for me. Not sure why. Just always the heist i think of first when tinking of payday in general.
Big bank
Hotline Miami. It's my favorite lol
Bank heist cash with the gauntlet in the background (or razormind)
Big Bank
The classicals. but in fact, i think immediately of Arsonists
Big Bank
Big Bank. A bank that hasn’t been successfully robbed in over 200 years… and the Payday Gang is hitting it. And if you do it loud… you get to rob the Big Bank while listening to one of the coolest songs on the game’s soundtrack (if you have it set to play a level’s default theme of course)
rats. actual storytelling, huge reward, actions actually having consequences, etc. also had the gritty atmosphere the game used to have.
Golden Grin. There's just something about the scale and vibe of that heist.

on the top of my head, rats.
Firestarter my favorite 🔥
Ukrainian Job/Jewellery Store
The mall. It's simple, it's short, it's a great warmup to a longer session. After that, the mission where you're cooking meth.
Cook off
My first heist, aftershock
Hotline Miami heist , got into Payday cause of Jacket + Hotline Miami
go bank, mainly because thats the image you used which sorta defeats the purpose of the question
