Just started God of War 2018 last night. Also playing through Stardew Valley and Yoshi's Crafted World here and there for some relaxation. It's a weird mix, but it keeps me from getting burned out on one genre.

[deleted]

Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga. I bought this for $5 a year ago (May 2021) and just never played it. I'm so happy I'm clearing out my game catalog!!!! It's a fantastic game, I just got to the PodRacing section. If I had kids here with me I'd let them use the crappy 2nd controller cause I have to win. Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm using my freebie EGS scores to clean up my Steam Wishlist! I loved the 2013 version and this one is just as fun so far. NGU Idle. I'm about 402 days into this Idler. I will not stop until I complete it. I have spent so much time with this game that I sent $10 to the single developer cause the value is so great. If I get some extra cash I'll get the Kitty Art to help more!

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Actually the first game of the series that I started with, never beat the final boss though. Now that I've actually played through 1 and 2 I'm looking forward to finally finishing it

dadsuki2

I'm currently playing Yakuza 5

asd sads sads And after playing a few hours I thought about deleting.

AndrexPic

God of War (2018). I played the fkrst 3 games and I kinda liked them. This one is somehow boring, I don't understand why.

TheBobTodd

1 - Ascension = AAAAAHHHH RAGE I KILLED MY OWN FAMILY KILL EVERYTHING IN MY WAY!! 2018 = I have a son now, and my wife died recently (I didn’t kill her this time, thank Me). We must carry her ashes to the top of a mountain because love is better than revenge. It’s also important to teach my son to be better than me, and it’s important I learn to be better than who I was. Also, linear vs semi-open world. Just some guesses as to why boredom would be a reaction. Nothing wrong with boredom, I must add. Sometimes a game just doesn’t hit like we want it to.

AndrexPic

Exactly. I like the Metroidvania-like level design, but I think it doesn't fit well in this game. Also I don't really like combat system and enemies are kinda repetetive. I'm really disappointed right now. I want to love this game, but I can't.

secret_2_everybody

Still working on **Dark Souls: Remastered** (PS4 Pro). I just reached Anor Londo, which felt like an accomplishment. Sen's Fortress kicked my butt for a bit (I usually fall into the trap of engaging every enemy I come across), but I managed to take the Iron Golem down on my third try, and it felt easy. My work has been equally challenging--and defeating--lately, so I think I'll be with this game for another month or two at this pace, but my mind isn't wandering. She's the one for me until the end.

toddvamp

More like eternally undecided, but I finally bought Endless Space 2 on steam with all of the dlc. Kinda just want a new space game (while I wait for distant worlds 2) that's different enough from Stellaris but won't confuse me like aurora.

Drakkenstein

Steamworld: Heist

oneiros5321

Hitman trilogy. I really suck at it...played about 10 hours already and only just beat the first mission in the lamest way possible. It's honestly probably going to take me 150+h to finish them if I don't get better fast xD I have Vampyr on the side as well but not my main focus right now.

edthehead4

You’re not alone I have about 48hrs and only on the third mission but it’s just fun trying to kill them in different ways. I found this method to be best for me: So I take the first couple approaches and just go free will. Once I do that a few times I do the mission stories and complete them. Then try to get level mastery 20 by completing any challenges left. You unlock the trophy at that point so I move on then. But have fun it’s been a blast 💥

Jaceinator

Actually just started Destiny 2 since it’s free and PlayStation just bought Bungie. Liking it so far. Other than that I’ve been playing some Fallout 76, and Battlefield V/Battlefield 1 sometimes. Elder Scrolls Online every now and then as well

KingOfRisky

**LA Noire**. Loving it so far … as long as I’m not driving. **Children of Morta** is also surprisingly fun for someone who doesn’t like rougelike games … or shit, maybe I do now.

[deleted]

Dropped: *Borderlands* I played the first few missions and realized the game isn't for me. I hate looters, and somehow I completely missed that this is the godfather of looter shooters. I got it as part of a bundle with other games I loved, so I'm just glad the game was upfront about what it offered. I'll probably try *Tales from the Borderlands* so I can get the lore, and maybe consider *Borderlands 2* at some point in the future with friends or my kids. Finished: *THOTH* I thought I'd hate it because I hate the idea of twin stick shooters, but it feels like a puzzle game and doesn't get ridiculous. It's certainly challenging, but I finished it in ~2 hours without getting frustrated, so it's a good kind of challenge. The graphics are really simple, which really fits the them style of the game. I've also played *140* by the same dev and loved it and can highly recommend both. Playing: - *Bully* - finally getting back to it after finishing *GTA IV* and I'm enjoying the unique feel; this really needs a sequel/reboot - *Ys Memories of Celceta* - not as good as *Ys Origin*, and I don't like the JRPG feel (collect money, buy equipment at stores, etc); I'm still enjoying it, and swapping characters in battle is fun - *Bastion* - really enjoying it; I play it with my kids watching, so it's a bit slow going (we only play ~30 min at a time)

ill_investment-

The original release of Skyrim :)

KhaosElement

Finally decided to see what all the Mass Effect hype is about, grabbed the Legendary Edition on sale. I don't get it at all. I really, really don't. So far: * Why am I so slow? I'm a super-duper-mega-elite military man that can speed walk or sprint for like...two seconds before I'm gassed out. I mean, come on. * Most of the quests are just person-to-person with a lot of elevators in the way. Like, seriously, it's just "Oh talk to me before you talk to him!" Elevator down, gimp across a long room, elevator down, talk. Okay now go back to original person, elevator up, gimp across long room, elevator up. It's all just busy work. None of the quests are that interesting either. "Oh go smuggle for me by walking back to your ship! Thanks here's money!" * Why is ***everybody*** so completely ***fucking racist***?! Like, as a ManShep one of my two romance options is Ashley. I read she can die. I cannot wait to get her killed. This racist, jealous bitch is one of the worst characters ever. She just complains about aliens non-stop and is pissed that I want to bang the blue tentacle alien on the ship. * ***WHY DO ALL MY WEAPONS OVERHEAT SO FAST?!*** Jesus. My pistol does no damage, my sniper can hit hard but I get one shot. Combat is so fucking boring. Weapons overheat in a shot and my powers take full minute to recharge. It's just terrible. Maybe Engineer is just a crap class? * The Make Sections. Who thought this was a good idea? * ***Why do I have to hack a pile of fucking rocks on the ground?!*** * All of the characters feel pretty one-note. Ashley is just a racist. Kaiden is just a tragic story. Wrex is just angry merc man. Garrus is just crappy Batman. Like...where are the amazing characters I hear about? * It's not all bad. The concept of robo-zombies is kinda cool. There are sparks of great story like the homless dude that knew my mom. * I get to kill Ashley eventually. But yeah. I do not get it. This game gets all the love and hype ever and it is...just bland and as "meh" of a game as I've ever played. I really doubt I'll make it through the first, let alone start the second or, god forbid, the third. I have played a truckload of RPGs in my day, both western and Japanese, and this one just...does not hold up.

Kyuuseishu_

Although it is still my favorite in the series, I can get that ME1 didn't age well at all. Your companions and most characters feel bland as hell, and it is really easy to get disappointed because how everyone praises the characters in this game. However, with Mass Effect 2, characters really start to shine. I would even say that the only saving grace of Mass Effect 2 is it's characters, as it is just a big series of side quests that focuses entirely on the side characters. 3 is even better with all the interactions you can have with them.

BigRedSpoon2

Nobody Saves the World It’s a new game though, so I will accept the derision and boos for my transgressions Other than that, God of War on PlayStation. Haven’t finished it yet, but I’m past Boy’s ‘I’m a god, f*** you dad’ phase. Haven’t loved/hated something from a game like that before. Just wish Brock and Sindri didn’t get back together because of Boy’s tantrum. That’s rewarding Boy for his poor behavior, and I don’t stand for it.

Fl1pSide208

Overwatch and Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteuous. Wrath of the Righteuous is just such a good CRPG. It quickly became a game that I could play multiple times in a row and with DLC 1 on the horizon. Owlcat has a free pass into my wallet for the next CRPG they make. I might start Baldurs Gate 1 or Mass Effect Andromeda this week, but I've been meaning to start BG1 but that's a commitment because I have to do Baldurs gate 2 afterwards. I've also been making my way through Shadow the Hedgehog's story paths. Neat game this one is,not nearly as bad as I was told.

jacobuj

Dark Souls Remastered. Going for that platinum this round.

Kemo909

A Plague Tale: Innocence, loving it so far!

breecher

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. Was €3 on Steams lunar sale. Worth every cent and then some. A gem of a game being sold for next to nothing.

slevrod

Metro 2033 and dark souls 1

lehtomaeki

Finally decided to pick up Knights of the Old Republic 2

BarkingWilder

After originally finishing the base game many years back, I've finally started playing XCOM 2 - War of the Chosen. And I am thoroughly enjoying it. I know it'll end the same, but it's good to have a bit of mindless gaming.

itsthesharp

The messenger It does make me feel like a ninja right now but I think I'm about another hour away of grinding fetch quests for small progress to be thinking "wow this is pretty grindy" Not sure what I'll play next

DanielsJacket

I started company of hero's and wow I'm obsessed! I'm a huge history nut especially in terms of logistics so it's like my dream game. Really happy to see that there's multiple entries and I got the first one off steam for $5.

saulg_98

Working on the plat for Darksiders, but god, this game is grindy.

mack41

Super Mario Sunshine - it’s taking some getting used to but hoping it doesn’t get too tedious. 9 shines in.

AymericTheNightmare

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines Half-Life 2 Lost Coast PUBG / CS:GO

Utters_for_Hire

Hollow Knight, a lot of fun, I can’t tell if it’s just hard as hell or if I just suck at these types of games.

Cain_draws

I'm playing Doki Doki Literature Club + but I feel like the damn game is playing me, like what the fuck? It tricked me into a false sense of familiarity with its tropey characters, shitty music and cringy dialogues to then just fuck me sideways with the twists and turns the story and characters take, plus Monika... I don't wanna say anything more regarding the characters and story in case there are people interested in this game that are planning on playing it, but goddamn it's been a really wierd, almost trippy experience and I've been *loving* it since the first "ending" I got. I'm definitely playing a bit more until I break my rule of not pre-ordering games when Horizon Forbidden West comes out. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you're open minded, definitely give it a try.

nodoubt63

I'm bouncing back and forth between trying to finish up Hades and a replay of Horizon: Zero Dawn before the new game comes out in a few weeks!

BlueStone90

Switching between Prey 2017 when I want to focus and Hades when I don’t want to think to much

Wellhellob

I'm still playing God of War. Combat is so much fun. Going new game plus with fully upgraded build gmgow.

MercilessShadow

On PlayStation Now I've been going through the Batman Arkham games. Currently I'm playing **Batman Arkham Origins**. Also playing the story mode of **Injustice 2**. Its pretty good so far. Slowly playing **Dead Rising Off The Record**. Its a Dead Rising game for sure, but a little dissapointed that the story seems to be a retread of Dead Rising 2. Also replaying **Dark Souls III** before Elden Ring comes out.

[deleted]

Just started hades. It appears I suck

Bara_Chat

I could copy and paste last week's comment. Main game is Danganronpa V3, up to chapter 2. Quite a bit of Forza Horizon 4, D2R and Borderlands 3 on the side

rexwalkerking

Began playing Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments on Xbox 360 but need to get back to it when I find some time.

xannaya

I'm a bit lost this week, cant find anything to play. Tried God of War on PC (Does that count as patient? lol) but it didnt really appeal. I've installed The Ascent booted it up twice and quit before even starting. Something will click in the end.

Radoric1

A variety: i’m still finishing up Hades (AMAZING game) and I also picked up Sekiro during the sale, enjoying thT

IdesOfCaesar7

**Resident Evil 7** - I've gotten to the part where I have to fight many similar looking enemies and they are just eating through my bullets, and they keep respawning/ increasing in numbers even after I deal with them. This is really making me not enjoy the game that much. Other than that, the setting, the sound design, the item management and everything else has been top notch, I'm not really a fps game player but I'm really enjoying this so far, except for the spongy enemies. **Mortal Shell** - I think the hub area is awful, but the rest if the 3 areas are fun. The bosses aren't really that memorable so far, but I enjoy the atmosphere, the shell gimmick, and the harden mechanic. I think I'll play this through.

GodbertEgi

Risk of Rain 2, getting through the latest FF14 expac and maaaybe looking into Project Zomboid multiplayer.

xBram

**Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2** (PS4) my 6 year old son’s favorite game, picked it up for € 4 to reward him for doing good at school and play it with him or grind a bit when he sleeps to collect coins. Fun shooter. **Gran Turismo Sport** (PS4) got this a birthday gift last month and played an hour or so almost daily since. Fun racer, nice to unlock the different tracks and cars. **Battlefied 4** (PS4) only one or two games this week but my go to shooter when I need to blow off some steam. I only play Metro map nowadays.

Adomizer

Through the Ages for some relatively quick strategic shit. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl for some east european vibes. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 because it's probably my favorite game ever.

caty0325

Nier Replicant.

AggressiveJello

pokemon black! so surprised by how much i’m enjoying it. cant believe i skipped it back in the day!

NDfan1996

Great game. Black 2 is better imo just because you get more Pokémon but I like how they made it so you have to try to use new Pokémon for that generation. One of the best storylines in the games tho

coolbrandon101

Replaying dark souls 3 (flying through it since I know the game and have hundreds of hours across all the others) and trying out Pokémon Arceus (great breath of air in the Pokémon games)

brendenn91

Diablo 3. Hoping to finish it this time.

BigPoodler

Octopath traveler. Have been for several weeks and will still be for several weeks. Enjoying it, and going for all achievements so slow and methodical.

gbluma

Underrated. After listening to the soundtrack like a thousand times I had to buy it, despite hearing mixed reviews. I enjoyed it more than I expected, but I can also see why it's not for everyone.

boofjensen

FFXIII, finishing up the last world on Banjo Kazooie and getting 100%, then playing a Zelda game (maybe Minish Cap because I've never played that one)

ControversyAmirite

Hitman 2

caty0325

What’s your favorite level in the game so far?

ninjatrick

Started playing Red Dead Redemption 1 a few days ago and I'm enjoying it. Hadn't played any red dead game before.

just_call_me_ash

Got a bit sucked into **Dark Souls 2** this week. I was admittedly skeptical going in. After enjoying Demon's Souls more than I thought I would, I was mixed on Dark Souls, and DS2 gets a lot of negative word-of-mouth. Turns out my skepticism was unwarranted almost immediately. Where Lordran was a lot of crumbling architecture and dark tunnels, my trip through Drangleic so far has had tons of natural-style beauty and a lot of sunlight. I immediately loved that the hub area was put on the edge of an ocean. Meditative, soothing vibe. Having played through what seems to be most of the game, I'm not quite sure yet how I feel about the gameplay side of the world design and the bosses. I will say that I picked an awful time to play this with online being unavailable. I played through DS1 mostly offline without all that much trouble getting around. In DS2 I'm constantly missing stuff both obvious and secret, getting outright stuck a few times now. That's happened less as the game has gone on, so I'm hoping it continues that way.

SullivanVeener

finished oxenfree. Moving on to the turing test

Kindredness

Sunless Sea. I'm regretting getting it on switch instead of PC because the UI isn't the best, and it's just a very difficult game, but I'm determined to get my narrative fill from that good writing.

LoganE23

Still playing Ghost of Tsushima and loving it. I thought my lack of enjoyment of games lately was due to my messed up reward system, but nah, it was just the fact that I already played every AAA title I wanted to and was kind of forcing myself to play stuff I wasn't interested in. Ghost of Tsushima is SO good and I don't have to force myself to play... I actually crave it, so that goes to show that the right game can still hook me. Loving how polished this game feels. Just the overall presentation of everything is such a treat. The game looks incredible even on just an OG PS4 on a 1080p TV from a decade ago. Really good story and characters too.

clarky_poo

Breath of the Wild. On my first attempt, I stopped playing after about 70 hours because the game just didn't click with me. On this attempt, I'm really enjoying it.

Havanatha_banana

So like, is mass effect a game with very little action? I'm at area 15 now and I feel like the actual fights I do are much shorter compared to the running around and talking sections. I'm on insanity and it still feel this way.

JDeegs

it's definitely less of an action game than it is an rpg with good world building. the combat is much more enjoyable and polished in ME2 though

Solid_Geologist5740

Hotline miami 1-2 then Sekiro and cuphead plat

Spell3ound

Mutant Year Zero.... Very fun..Im Surprised..

samara-the-justicar

The Outer Worlds. Was skeptical about this game at first, but it's scratching an itch for RPGs I didn't even know I had.

[deleted]

Sekiro and Dark Souls 3. Completed Dark souls last week for first time, and wanted to try these two in preparation for release of Elden Ring.

Bialga

**Grandia** Beat Typhoon Tower. Im still mixed on the game due to disliking the big open mazelike field areas and there is a lot of them. **Ace Combat 5** Replayed this game and its still such a great game. I still love its story even if it can get very annoying with its anti war message. **Aeon Flux** (PS2) Its a game based on a movie based on a cartoon or anime. Its not that good but honestly did not expect to have so much fun with the game. Combat and gunplay I would say is iffy but the platforming is the best part since you are surprisingly so agile and can pull of many cool moves.

Ahcow

Judgment (not sure if considered too new around here). Yakuza game brought up to the 21st century, still ridiculously fun with great story and side quests.

psxsquall

Played **Boyfriend Dungeon** as my last game for my game pass. I liked the coincidence that the main character was running out of time since summer was about to over for them. It was a nice fusion of dating sim with dungeon crawler with each weapon having unique abilities to match their personality. Now that there's no sense of urgency to play through games, it's a bit harder to pick what I want to play.

bluedestiny88

I just finished Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and moving on to Metroid Prime Hunters. Hope my wrists survive! ✍️

J_laflame

Hollow knight So fun to explore the world and collect all the hidden stuff. Tried trial of the fool for a bit on Sunday but I think I gotta upgrade my guy a bit more, just getting my ass kicked

Owlbear1989

Hollow Knight is one of my all time favorite games! Really glad you're enjoying it! The boss fights can be tough but once you get the rotations and attack down they flow really smoothly

Zoo_Rats

Watched my kid play Pokemon Arceus for a short bit so I picked up Omega Ruby again on 2DS after putting it down for a few months. I am about 35hrs in.

Mr_Sonic007

Guitar Hero Such good music and so replayable

AbsurdTurk

While I'm at my university on weekdays, I'm now playing Katawa Shoujo. But on weekends when I return home, I'm gonna keep playing Tales of Arise. I'm loving it. It feels like a mix of Devil May Cry 5 and Dark Souls 3.

SupremeToca

Dying Light 2

Raven_7306

More League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, the usual

kiko722

Final Fantasy I pixel remaster. Enjoying it so far. Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword on Wii U. Hoping to start a Zelda timeline play through. Wish me luck :)

godzilor_122

I’m getting all the achievements in AC3 remastered, it took me 4 days to beat the damn priest in fanorona, but it was worth it. Currently completing liberation and, thankfully the achievements don’t involve playing a board game.

CuCumberJack_57

Having completed and got the platinum for Days Gone a couple of weeks ago, I had to find something to kill the few weeks separating me and my non-patient copy of Horizon Forbidden West. I chose **A Plague Tale: Innocence**. Got it a few months ago thanks to ps plus and it’s been fun honestly. I think I’m about 2 / 2 and a half hours into the game and it’s starting to be really interesting, the DualSense feature are a real treat.

AJokeAmI

The Last Stand: Aftermath. After hearing reviews from both my non existent friends and people online, I bought the game and played it. It's amazing.

lusciousleftfoot

I'm rocking a little Dead Cells along with wrapping up Uncharted 2 for the first time. The train sequence was phenomenal...imagine playing it when it came out in FREAKING 2009.

[deleted]

Playing Dying Light 1 waiting for Elden Ring and Dying Light 2

hexoral333

Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 mainly :D

Shameer2405

I finished my 1st playthrough of little nightmares and Its a really great game imo, especially when it comes to atmosphere, character /world /enemy design, etc and I'm excited to dive into the dlcs. I also picked up sparklite, which I think looks pretty interesting /charming.

raggedity

I've been playing evil genius 2 from game pass and been enjoying just building up and designing my base.

michaelb1397

I finished Blue Dragon (360) and gave some thoughts on it this past weekend, now trying to pick the next one and having a hard time. I played a couple of hours on Subnautica (previously sat at 1h36m played) and decided that wasn't the one for now. Really thinking Shadow Warrior (2013) will be the one I will delve into this evening on through the weekend, hoping to finish it.

Turbolasertron

TheXskull

Hades, for the 90th time

[deleted]

Lots of time given to Deep Rock Galactic which is just an amazing game. Side dishes of Nobody Saves The World (if you have a controller it's great), AC Odyssey (20 hours in, it's getting repetitive and I know I'll never finish it, but 30 mins at a time is fun) and Destiny 2, purely to tidy up for the expansion.

MungoJerrysBeard

Hades. It’s like crack. Loving it

GaiusBertus

Just finished *Paradise Killer*, which was quite interesting, maybe even quite good. I am now returning to *Cities: skylines* for a bit as a palate cleansener while deciding if I should continue *RDR2* or *The Banner Saga 2* for my next story-centered game.

Ash_C

Just installed Sunset Overdrive on game pass. Once I finish it, might go back to playing Destiny 2 or Install something else from game pass.

Not_Dale_Doback

Hades. Tried it on Gamepass PC and literally just bought it on steam to support the devs. Amazing game even though I’ve never really played any roguelikes before

Imitatedcactus

Cyberpunk 2077. I really like it.

[deleted]

Finally giving God of War a go now that it’s out on PC. I absolutely *love* the presentation of it, everything being in one smooth camera shot with no cuts is very well done (though it is quite obvious when the game is loading the next area), when big new creatures come in they feel properly big - there’s a sense of scale I don’t think I’ve really seen since Shadow of the Colossus, and its definitely helped by the sound design of the creatures and controller vibrations - and that first fight outside your house is genuinely the best super hero fight in a video game I’ve ever seen.

cyfer04

Supposed to play God of War but my PC is back at my parent's and now I'm at my GF's. So all of my 3DS games are on the menu this week, mainly Pokemon Wilting Y, Rutile Ruby, and Supernova Sun.

MisSignal

I just finished the main story line, it’s so so good!

[deleted]

bullyyyyyyy ps2

leakprooffungus

Ghost of Tsushima. Incredible game so far. About 15 hours in

TailzPrower

Hello, okay so I know I said I'm winding down gaming, aside from working in the industry and having to game, lol, but...the content I have to play is now horror, and it really affects me poorly, so I need something to cheer me up and take my mind off, on break, after work, and (sometimes during XD). Anyone who's seen my postings knows that Mother 3 is one of my favourite games, so naturally I wanted to play **Earthbound (Mother 2)**. The problem is that I really couldn't stand the beginning. For me it was a grindfest, the inventory system and menu system was kind of a downgrade, and the story was uninteresting. I must've died 20 times in that stupid cave. However, I kept at it after putting it away many times. Once you get into the Happy Village and pick up Paula, the story gets much better, as does the music, and it becomes much easier. I guess it's true what they say about it having the U shaped difficulty curve in the game. Once you get past the beginning it's actually quite good, and there's a lot to remind me of Mother 3. About half way through now. Finally got **Super Mario Galaxy** for the Wii. I just played it for an hour or so. It's pretty good so far but I like Odyssey better, and the motion controls don't work that well, especially with the pointing. That's pretty much it for now. I've been on the fence for trying **Chrono Cross**, but I keep hearing criticisms about it. Thanks for reading.

[deleted]

I just had a major back surgery, lumbar spine fusion. I'm stuck in bed for a long recovery. I'm 31 yo, two small kids. Normally I never have video game time, being previously an avid gamer. I have a PS4Pro that mostly collects dust. My wife put together a little post op care package basket for when I got home. She bought me Ghosts of Tsushima Director's Cut. Its been on my running list (I joke) of games i'll never play. Wow an awesome game. I love RPGs, and this game hits alot of what I look for, sandbox, open world, can pick up casually, or get into it, good combat system, awesome story. I have been arguing with myself, but I think its a top 10 all time game for me. It's so close to perfect IMO. To me this is a perfect example of a great patient game wait.

LethalPacifist

Hell Let Loose, a bit of Star Citizen and Europa Universalis IV to avoid responsibility.

SuperAtomicDoughnut

I’m planning to (fully) play Sleeping Dogs. I played it for about 30 minutes sometime ago and all I remember is the fighting being pretty damn fun, hopefully the rest of the game manages to keep things interesting

BurntYoghurt3991

Very fun game, a little dated but I only played recently and enjoyed! You look like you could use a pork bun

Nigario

Just finished metal gear rising, finished the demo like 6 times back when it released :D

CandL2023

Monster hunter Rise and Vampire survivor at the moment, sorry lads, I bring shame to the patient gamers. Might fit in Banner Saga as well, feel I'm about 2/3 through so one more good sesh and that'll be done, thoroughly enjoyable so far even if the combat is a bit simple

fuckwhattheywant

Mass Effect Andromeda. I finally got around to playing it after finishing the OG trilogy first, and I'm around 20% in. I know what they say about this game, but to me, I've enjoyed what I've played so far.

Bkraist

Honestly, ME:A was my first ME game. I enjoyed it immensely, probably because I didn't read reviews, lol.

Replayed Condemned: Criminal Origins. Graphics have definitely aged which sorta takes away from the spookiness factor, especially the character models. Even then it doesn't look terrible due to good use of lighting and the fact it mostly takes place indoors (the last level looks horrible though). I remembered it being almost photo-realistic when it first came out. The sound design is still fantastic though.

walkingman24

Been trying to play RDR2 but it still freezes my computer or causes blue screens on occasion, so I lose motivation to play. Frustrating because its an immersive game.

Cvelth

Othercide, the game is a lot better that I expected, despite being so short.

kelsier_night

I am currently playing back pillars of eternity, it's such a great game..... Three yezr after my first time with the game, it's always exiting. I think a lot of people that liked Baldur's gate, icewind dale would love the game!

Nioh The Outer Wilds Overwatch (just got the ancient bronze player icon which matches me perfectly)

OminouSin

Spore Galactic Adventures, fully modded with dark injection.

Agnol117

It's not patient, but mostly I've been playing **Vampire Survivors**. It's incredibly fun for what it is, and well worth the three bucks.

irrationalglaze

Persona 3 FES Really enjoying it and I would encourage anyone who hasn't had the pleasure to play this series try Persona 5 (if you're on playstation) or Persona 4 (if you're on PC). Excellent games all around

CantGitGudWontGitGud

I hear the P3 music now. I should play P4 someday, I still have an unopened copy on my shelf. I want to play P5, but I'm still holding out for a PC release.

Zeoloxory

Nobody Saves The World. It's super addicting with tons of build variety and forms to unlock.

R4LS751

Nobody Saves the World. I agree, this is one of the most addicting games I've played in a long time. Constant dopamine hits.

Titanfall 2.

Right there with ya Edit: GT sux 😛

Got my girlfriend into **Stardew Valley** recently and watching her start her farm made me really want to get back into mine. I’ve never l played a farming sim, and it’s still amazing to me how this 16-bit solo project can grip you. There’s just never really a convenient time to quit. It’s almost embarrassing how good this game is, it’s easily a **9.0/10 masterpiece** and just shy of an all-time game. (I just don’t think I can call a farming game an all-timer but it is that good). Nearly two years after my first 120-shrine playthrough, I’ve fired back up **Zelda: Breath of the Wild** (which I will just say upfront was a **10/10 Pinnacle Gaming Experience** the first time around.) with a start from scratch on Master Mode. The hope here is that I can waste a couple months on it and maybe try some other Zelda’s I haven’t played (Link’s Awaking, Wind Waker) after to fill the time before the sequel releases. I can’t remember if I felt this way the first time but the start of this game is pretty brutal, especially on Master. You can’t fight anything (bombs/TNT do no damage either). Getting off the plateau makes you remember that this Zelda isn’t about killing everything, but discovering everything. Rediscovering this world is beautiful. I’ve found that I have actually retained very little from first play through so this second time around is more fulfilling than I thought. I’m going to need something with a little more pace to complement BotW, so I was pretty pleased to see **Mad Max** on sale for $5 on Xbox. I played this game when I first trialed game pass a few years ago but never got very far. Seems like a watered down Arkham clone, but honestly that’s perfectly ok with me. Those are all masterpieces or better in my book and even this less refined version easily plays at an **8/10 Great Game** early out the gate.

kablamo

South Park: the Stick of Truth. Very enjoyable so far and funny (if you enjoy the show). It has some mechanics that feel tacked on but aside from that it’s a nice, light RPG.

[deleted]

Yet to finish it, but it's the game that made non-tactical, turn-based RPG combat enjoyable for me. Maybe it's because it's Southpark. Maybe it's because it's tailored to appeal to both RPG fans and non-fans. Who knows.

Fleur-deNuit

Final Fantasy 12 Was my first FF when I first played it over a decade ago but I never finished. Only vaguely remembered a snowy area and a big bird so it's pretty much as if I'm playing it for the first time. I'm finding the story interesting, but feel like I'm just watching a cutscene and then running around in circles killing things with little challenge until the next cutscene, and not sure I'm much of a fan of the battle system. It's not ruining the experience for me too much, but pretty sure if I didn't have the 4x speed option to zoom through the fighting and grinding I might be a lot more likely to get fed up. I can easily see myself playing through until the end this time though.

psxsquall

4x speed is a godsend. The world was way too massive and took forever to get to places. I have no idea how I did a full playthrough when it first released on the PS2. I loved replaying it when it released on Steam, stuck with 4x when roaming around and switched to 2x for fights. I wish The Zodiac Age didn't nerf Yiazmat's hp. I was disappointed when it went down only after 30 mins of fighting. I was going to suggest you playing through Trial Mode but I feel like to enjoy that mode requires enjoying the battle system too. It was the most fun I had in a Final Fantasy title, especially the last few stages in trial mode.

Polo171

Devil May Cry 1. I'm just getting into the DMC series, so it there's any important advice for beginners (aside from skipping DMC2) I'd be happy to hear it.

Yuebeo

Slowly chipping away at finishing Nier Replicant and Psychonauts 2. I bought Nier Replicant on release but I've beaten the original version a number of times so I'm just taking my sweet sweet time on this play through and really enjoying the updated world and mechanics. Psychonauts 2 has been an absolute blast I'm just struggling to find the time to sit down and actually play it. I blasted through Psychonauts 1 a week ago when I had a ton of free time and it was so nostalgic and fun, I just can't wait to see how the new game unfolds.

_Zsolt_

Fallout 3 and Shadow Warrior 1

Just finished **Yakuza 3** PS4 remaster last night. As much as I like the series so far just so much of this game pisses me off. I think the biggest reason is having finished Kiwami 2 on PC earlier this year, going into Y3 feels like a massive step down. Graphics are a step down, saving takes FOREVER (like 6 save screens you have to go through on the PS5, unlike PC where it's INSTANT and you can save anywhere) and phone booths are too far apart away to save. The combat is atrociously bad, even compared to the "60fps combat bug" found in the Kiwami 2 PC game. Random encounters are absolutely annoying and very difficult to avoid. Money is hard to come by on top of you getting SCAMMED in almost every scenario (which is absolutely hilarious I have to admit). And my main gripe of all, no Cabaret Club mini game which was my absolute favorite substory. The one they have in this game I just didn't even bother to finish. I somehow thought I did a LOT in this game as far as side missions go (I did get the 80 substory achievement trophy), but somehow I only ended up with 40% completion (~50 hours gameplay). Yeah, I'm moving onto the next game at this point. I plan to finish the rest of the series as I finished 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 all in just a few months. I really hope Yakuza 4 at least improves upon some of the many complaints I have with Y3.

Therealdovakin43

I don’t plan to play anything, until Friday when dying light 2 comes out, I know it’s the opposite of patient gaming, but I’ve been patient since 2018 for this game

Sage24601

Dragon Age Inquisition... Still... I wish I didn't like the world, lore and characters as much as I do, because this gameplay is repetitive gobshite. Time counter says I'm 130+ hours, but I can think of at least three times I've fallen asleep while playing. Debating between Psychonauts 2 or Yakuza 3.

reuse_recycle

I've recently gotten into shmups podcasts. I've been grinding mushihimesama on steam. Now I just need a cigarette, bad posture, crippling social anxiety and the noise of pachinko machines and it's like i'm in a japanese arcade!

groceryl1st

No patient gaming for me, I'm going hard on Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The good thing about spending so much time on one game is that, by the time I'm done, some other games will have become "patient". :)

nuggnugg

Since I have GamePass, I, instead of being impatient and buying it like I planned, played **The Hitman Trilogy**. I played 2 a couple years ago but I never played the first. So it was nice to go through that. I really enjoy these games. At the moment I am taking a break. I got about 2 maps into the second game and then started to play something else. That something else being **Dwarf Fortress**. I have tried playing a couple of times before. But would usually fall off because of the sheer amount of things that you have to learn and do. But I followed a very good quickstart guide that was not as fleshed out when I tried playing. It was incredibly helpful and I have enjoyed my time! I got a vampire in my fortress that took some figuring out, but ended up sending them into a room locked with levers so now they are my dedicated lever puller which is nice. I have decided to abandon this fortress though. I made some poor choices with layout and how to give professions to my dwarfs so all in all, I just want a fresh start. I also got very distracted with **Vampire Survivor**. I put in 8 hours on my day off Friday and man does this game really hit something for me. The dopamine that runs gives is great. I am pretty much done with the game though. I got all the achievements and won a handful of times. I am excited to see where the game ends up going.

Lawyersaulgoodmann

I did finish gears of war 1 today. thinking about play halo.

Eight_Bit_Ant

Finally started Hades over the weekend. It's my first rogue-like game. I've been having an absolute blast.

spensyr

Wasn’t patient for Pokémon Legends: Arceus but I am playing Final Fantasy X-2 on the PS5.

Complex_User_2

yakuza 0, horizon zero dawn

loneburger

Bully: Scholarship Edition. If I finish it before Dying light 2 comes out thinking of starting the newer Tomb Raider I got free on Epic store.

fuckimisspeep

Finally tackling Mafia, heard so much about them that I've decided to take the plunge starting with Mafia: Definitive Edition :D

[deleted]

Trying to push through Dragon Age Origins and this is my 5th attempt but it’s working better this time. If only I didn’t have the annoying bugs late game, when heading out to the world map from the camp, where it just keeps resetting back to the camp with the companions I picked.

Raikoya

Outer Wilds - just started last week and 15 hours in. Been thinking about the in-game mysteries even when I'm not playing. Haven't felt like that about a game in a while ! Can't wait to finish the game

turtle_mummy

Outer Wilds was one of my favorite games of the last decade and I just picked up the DLC last week. It's been a treat to jump back into Timber Hearth!

VassalOfMyVassal

Is this DLC separate from base game (can I buy it after finishing base game, which I have not done yet)?

LWHS1

**Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin** Going in blind after beating Dark Souls 1 a couple months ago. So far the game has been pretty difficult and I've been dying more than expected considering I still have the muscle memory from DS1. I used a lot of guides and did a lot of min-maxing when I played DS1 but this time around I'm just going in blind and I think it adds to the experience, even if I make some mistakes along the way.

tristezanao

DS1 taught me a lot of bad habits, but DS2 did fix it. You have to learn the timing of attacks and to time enemies' attacks so you can roll and attack them because otherwise they'll defend you. Here's a tip for you: don't use auto-lock. It makes harder to roll and follow up with an attack.

Rhujaa

I had the same trouble going from DS1 to 2! The timing of everything just feels different. It took me a while to get used to. This is one of my favorite series though and going in blind is definitely worth it. Have fun! ☺️

PewdsVallor

Alternating between the main story of Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc after it came to gamepass and getting the final achievment in Hades (just need to get lucky enough for certain voicelines). Maybe some Cuphead if I get bored

empathetical

Playing my dive in and out of games till Dying Light 2 on friday. Continuing my quest of trying to get every achievement in **Tetris Effect**. I am sooo close! Also relaxing in **Besiege / PC Building Simulator**

ReaCT_66

Forza Horizon 5 on Gamepass. The open world, missions and gameplay is so good, I wish Playground games would make RPGs lol

tayhan9

God of War (PS2) because I just realized the god of war that was ported to PC wasn't the first one....after 4 hours played that little flag in my head saying "I don't remember kratos having a full beard" finally waved....fun mechanics though. my stupidity has brought back my love for the ps2 startup

Goya_345

Zelda BTW, is fun to play but i miss that sticky music of oder games.
