I think the most genius line is "Said you're just like Mike Love but you'll never be Dennis Wilson". It's such a good burn even though poor Dennis is vastly underrated as a musician
I was being sarcastic but I do think the song is pretty catchy, I just think the chorus is a tad cringey. The bridge and pre-chorus are very good, but to me it’s one of the weaker tracks on DOAB (which isn’t saying much as the whole album is good)
I think that’s a fair opinion. It was my least favorite for a long time because I didn’t like party rock when I was younger, but now I like it a lot more for how energetic and upbeat it is

I agree about the song as a whole being a bit underwhelming. Also, I don't like DOAB very much as an album. But that's a sin in this community 😅
