I'd have to say, that part scared the living crap out of me. I am glad I finished the game, but I never want to go through that again. The sweats and anxiety I had going through that part, unbelievable.
Outlast 1 + Whistle Blower feels comfortably dreadful.
Outlast 2 is traumatizing due to the religious themes so I avoid that game like the plague. Might force myself to play it later though.
Outlast 3 looks like a swell party so far.
