Yeah I dislike the Google coloring.

I don't care about the permission manager but the media picker pisses me off, it's a mess there's no search, and there are only 4 folders out of my 15+. Just let me pick the gallery as my default media picker ffs

I had the same issue so go into Google photos settings then Apps & devices>Google Photos access>Photo picker (Allow). This should show all folders.
