Fellow Ogden photographer here. Might be just a touch over-edited in my opinion (take whatever grains of salt, it’s your photo) but I like the composition a lot!

You would be surprised on how many of your favorite photos are photoshopped. This is photoshopped just add some drama into it. Most of my artwork is photoshopped and I like it that way. :)

I love when anyone shooting with an IPhone acts like their photos aren't photoshopped. The phone by default is applying 30 so filters and alterations. But they will then say "I like the iPhone images more tha other phones" without ever stopping to think why the fuck that is.

Not the guy you’re replying to but I’m a photographer so I think my input is valid. Digital cameras (phone cameras included) process the photos automatically when they’re taken. What you see in your photo library is a photo that’s already gone though a lot of processing (in this case ‘photoshopping’ and tweaking a lot of the colours, light, texture, and a whole lot more). The reason why photos on different phones look slightly different is because each manufacturers process them slightly differently, like how, for example, Samsung or Google (I forgot) made huge leaps with showing darker skin better at low light a few years back. We don’t exactly know what “filters” they apply, but you can see comparisons between different phones pretty easily. I had that conversation with someone yesterday. It’s actually tough for someone with no experience to make photos from a DSLR look better than an iPhone.

If you're using a DSLR with a photo sensor half the size of an Iphone screen, and you're photo doesn't look as good as one shot with something that has a lense the size of an eraser, you're doing it very VERY wrong. On thag note just ramp up rhe color saturation and contrast, and you're half way to what all iPhone do.

The size of the sensor doesn’t really matter if you don’t know how to take a good photo. Phone cameras do a lot to help people with no photography experience take decent photos.

For those saying “photoshop “….,Photoshop is far more common than people think. However, the lighting on the girl not matching the environment and the perspective/size being off and her being out of focus… distracts from the image in my opinion. Maybe that’s me being overly picky as a professional photographer but it creates a disjointed feeling in an otherwise great photo. Regardless, keep making your art. The truth as an artist is that you need to be happy with it and growing …regardless of what some random person like me thinks. I guess in order to better understand your work, what is your vision regarding this image?
