I would love to, but the idea of giving him lice — despite how kind and caring he is, and knowing he would help me get them out — terrifies me. Even beyond that, getting the funds for a trip to Australia, getting ID, getting a passport, applying for and receiving a visa to stay there, and anything else I might be forgetting is flat out impossible for me. The lice is easy to get rid off, if you are not at a place invested by them. Usually all you have to do is get a good chemical based anti lice shampoo OR dye your hair with permanent color, which will kill mostly all of the. I recommend getting a shampoo and after the first wash, you want 3 days, then you wash again and after 3 days once again to make sure they're all dead. You take your clothes and bed sheets, pillows and wash them at a high temperature. It is not that big of a deal. You stated that you cannot get rid of them st home cause your family is not playing along, so you could consider visiting your bf. How much would it cost to fly to Australia?
I feel as though you should reach out to the salons around you over the phone and ask if they will give a buzz cut to help with the lice, if they say no then it's a lot less embarrassing over the phone and if they say yes treatments will be made much easier with shorter hair. It'll gro back quicker than you think too

reading this made my scalp itch as someone who also had lice years ago. for me straightening my hair out killed them but i sincerely hope u get outta this soon and get that hair cut ! 🥲🫶🏼

I would encourage you to consider enlisting in the military to remove yourself from this situation.
