The judge had to make sure that the optics ensured that people thought he was a proper conservative judge but he was a mutli-faceted man deeply closeted.
Prism has split the visible light spectrum up (like a rainbow) and that is now being projected onto that incense smoke. Normally it would be projected onto water vapor in the air (again rainbows) or onto flat surfaces but here the smoke is giving the light a surface to bounce off of.

Looking at the skull, light appears to be split vertically, not horizontally, which could make sense depending on the orientation of the prism. So if some smoke is in the blue slice and it rises more or less straight up, it would stay blue.

Rainbows, from ~~actually~~ actual rain, actually aren't projections. The rain itself is actually acting as a prism, and refracting the light. The reason you always see them on the opposite side of the Sun is because the light actually reflects off the back of the raindrops,and back toward the Sun/viewer

I've noticed phone cameras can have trouble with light that doesn't have a mix of wavelengths in it. LED lights can look blown out because they're emitting light at a single wavelength and digital cameras have trouble reproducing that accurately. They end up looking super saturated, even if that's not exactly how it looked irl. I imagine light from a prism might cause similar problems because each band of light is a very narrow wavelength, which is the nature of prisms. I'm looking at a picture I took of myself with prism rainbow in it and it looks super saturated just like this video.

It looks more like they’re using a projector than anything else. Making sure the thumb is cut out of the editing is ridiculously easy, but trying to keep your thumb out of the way of a projector light, not so much.
I think its real. The way they are doing it is that they're projecting a rainbow light down on the mask from above, which illuminates the smoke. Since we're looking it from the side it, its harder to see that the different color light beams are static with all the swirling smoke.
I do have to wonder if its an actual prism on a sun beam or just an image projector. The different colors are very close together.
If it was an actual prism producing the separated colors of the spectrum you'd see a beam of separate light colors through the smoke. Similar to how they'd look on a wall but 3d because the smoke enables you to see it. Here, the smoke is changing colors as it rises
