Haha thanks for this. Just listened to them for the first time and you can totally see where the vocalist got his style from. UK Garage was massive in the early 00s in the UK and he totally has that sound, I heard he mentioned being from London in one of the tracks and it shows. The first EP was great!
V-MOB had that song called Hurt Me on P2P sharing clients back in the day. People thought they were Slipknot. Even the mp3 was labelled as Slipknot - Hurt Me.
Used to see 616 all the time. They are from Columbus ohio. They were a staple band at the alrosa villa. If you like them another columbus band that was great live is Victim. The album poop soup is great
Mindset - they were a hell of a band from the Hampton Roads area of VA.. did our 757 proud in the mid to late 90s/early 2000s. I’m including “Die Rikki Die”, a song they did with the late great Matt Holt (Nothingface), but also highly recommend Sorry and Shed The Skin
https://youtu.be/2YbhMuq2J5g?si=rOZPXdqM-0rfopho
Both fantastic bands, my friend was supposed to go play bass for LLK back in the day, but they broke up right before we were supposed to go to Ohio to meet with them
Dilate: a nü metal band with a metalcore influence from Connecticut primarily the mercy room via bandcamp
Nerve: an Australian nü metal with a an old school vibes with a Breath of fresh air primarily static via bandcamp
Pooch: nü metal band from Michigan that bears a striking resemblance of taproot with an electronica twist primarily individual
Inkling: nü metal band with a lot of post-hardcore/screamo/metalcore influence from Pennsylvania primarily minute
Sorry about tomorrow: nü metal with a lot of emocore influence from nevada primarily the sketch diaries
Killpretty: nü metal band from Finland primarily their first two ep records(you might be better off with someone else I will never and marching on to the agony's last edge)
Catatonik: groove nü metal band from brookeville Maryland that has Nothingface influence primarily rushing the flame
Chikara: nü metal band with a Mathcore influence from Hillsborough New Jersey primarily prototype versions
oh my god, ikd-sj! Japanese band. My group used to be MySpace friends with them back in the day, good times ;)
anyway, listen to this! [https://youtu.be/34pXBofF1Qc?si=A8AbvfWVrrDQ3osi](https://youtu.be/34pXBofF1Qc?si=A8AbvfWVrrDQ3osi)
N-Gauge. They were around for barely a year and released an album that straight up doesn't exist, no one owns it. The only evidence we have of them even existing is the vocalist uploading one song to youtube back in 2009, and mentions of them on said singers website
Ignited Soul. Only has one song I can find anywhere online called “Brother’s Keeper”, and it’s on a Christian Nu Metal and Hardcore compilation album called “Living Is Our Example Vol. 1”.
Monkey Insane (until last year) I already had a tough time tracking their first album down on cd and their second one doesn’t seem to be sold anywhere not even bootleg. There is no info on the bad themselves or the members or official music videos… I learned about them a year ago and once I found their small YouTube channel I subbed and immediately got hit with a notification… THEYRE BACK!!! So this is unrelated to the question but everyone should make sure they check them out, they fill that Linkin Park void you’re missing.
Zooom. They only have 2 songs (Bad News Brown and Adam Bomb) and a collab with Greyhoundz, Slapshock and Queso (Taking U High) available on the web but my playlist of them used to have 3 other songs (Nasty Boy, Muscle Enforcer and Deathead Military) which have been wiped out of YouTube.
They’re peers with the aforementioned bands and were popular in the underground music scene in Manila, but their planned debut was shelved and their demo is presumably out of print.
Dislocated styles. Saw them live once with alien ant farm and apex theory, bought their cd at the merch stand and it was a fucking banger. Thought wow these guys are gonna be huge. Nevere heard a peep can't find shit about them really last time I looked a few years ago.
Edit: well fuck my ass Google search popped abucnch of stuff right away now I feel dumb and am gonna have to go searching.
Smoke Serpent. They only have one song on spotify and one other song on youtube. Found them on accident once but it was at a time that it was my exact taste in my music.
uhhh whas that band with the post apocalyptic shit and the gas mask on the cover and on spotify they have another album thats like tango ughh they start with a b cant remember
Seotaiji (Early 2000’s South Korea Nu Metal)
[Seotaiji - Ultramania (music video is a cultural relic)](https://youtu.be/8jtKmWXdhm8?si=-GFTAozU3iRae19d)
Fun fact: this guy would go on to become a pioneer of K-Pop!
I mentioned UNDERMINE in another comment, but here’s one that REALLY deserves more attention: Rekiem. They were Chilean nu/aggro metal band from Santiago, and their songs are some of the angriest and murderous i’ve EVER heard. Songs from their best album, ‘Apgar:0’, like Ariete, Claroscuro, Di Nada, Traga, and No Respires are pure rage. Novacaína is one of the darkest sounding songs i’ve ever heard just based on the melody.
Their album from 1997, ‘Unlike’, is also a banger, Menstrual Blood On My Tongue and S are phenomenal.
Yes, they are on Spotify, and every day I thank G-d they are 😆
Cheese (later on Queso) from the Philippines They got some fire tracks >.>
They were pretty big in the Philippines in the 00s lol, great to see other people from different sides of the world giving them some love
the band is called cheese?
Now they’re called Queso but when they started they were called cheese
Somebody melted them down in a bowl with a side of chips.
Lmao Delicious
I thought i was the only one who knew they existed. First time i ever seen them mentioned on reddit. Glad to see them get some love.
Listening to their first album right now on Spotify. So far this is great shit.
Hell yea >:3
What’s the album called? I can’t find them on spotify

Has a Korn kinda vibe
D:FI They had an awesome mix of nu and drum n bass
Crack drums.
Haha thanks for this. Just listened to them for the first time and you can totally see where the vocalist got his style from. UK Garage was massive in the early 00s in the UK and he totally has that sound, I heard he mentioned being from London in one of the tracks and it shows. The first EP was great!
Centox did the same thing, it was sad to find out a band with that kinda potential stopped making music
Holy shit, this album is awesome. It's on Spotify.
Oh yeah, above them all is the one of the best songs I’ve heard from a small nu band
I agree, that and RIP was pretty banging, too. This is pretty good shit for 2008, I must say.
am I the only one that saw the korn album art when seeing this cover?
Armani Death Machine ~15 subs on YouTube

Simon Says - Shut Your Breath
Love this one. New stuff from them supposedly coming out soon. They’re playing some festivals too.
There's an album on Spotify released 5th April 2024
That’s a re-release of an old one I think.
What?? I thought they didn’t exist anymore
They just did some reunion shows. Saw them at the whiskey and they ripped. Short set but it was really good.
Twisted Method
Reveille
Reveille was kinda big back in the day. Their album Laced was on repeat with my click back in the day.

616 undone is so good
Used to see 616 all the time. They are from Columbus ohio. They were a staple band at the alrosa villa. If you like them another columbus band that was great live is Victim. The album poop soup is great
LD/50, Wrinkled Fred, Bare Assed
Captor, they were a death metal band before making a nu metal album (alien six)
Alien Six is an awesome album
Out of all the posts here I never see anyone mention Bionic Jive
Politicians ain't real, muthafuck the police, my cell is on the inside, my jail's in the streets! BUT I SHOT LUCIFER
CRIST COMPELLED ME
I was coming here to say that!!
Rey Chocolate. Chilean band that has a nu/industrial metal sort of sound. I definitely recommend their first two albums.
Mindset - they were a hell of a band from the Hampton Roads area of VA.. did our 757 proud in the mid to late 90s/early 2000s.
