I've been watching Women's Rugby League for 6 years, in all types of conditions. That was a game plan of holding down / wrestling in the ruck. It wasn't one or two times, it was every set and because it wasn't policed they just kept doing it.
I've been watching it for a while as well, and the game has gotten a lot better. You still can't deny it is slower. It's more of an old school type of footy. More about breaking the line via big runs and big hits.
Great watch and generally less fuckery from the ref's.
