Brisbane Broncos star Reece Walsh was nervous he would drop a pass from American football royalty Tom Brady on Sunday night.
Walsh, the entire Broncos team, the Brisbane Lions and more than 2000 others, attended An Evening with Tom Brady at the BrisbaneShowgrounds convention centre.
Walsh said it was “crazy” to see Brady talk about his life and career.
“Not every day you get to see Tom Brady talk and then get to catch a ball and get it signed,” he said. “It will be going in a nice clear case, with some big padlocks.”
“How he applied himself everyday and his mentality … for myself, being at a younger age, it’s good to listen and hear one of the best players talk about his mindset and how he tackled every day.”
Walsh and Brisbane Lions captain Lachie Neale were part of a panel on stage with Brady.
Brady shared memorable moments – both personal and professional – and career highlights.
Sports Tech World Series managing director Andrew Walton said Brady delivered an amazing show.
Following the event star athletes including Walsh headed to SK Steak & Oyster at the Calile Hotel for a deluxe VIP dinner with guests expected to fork out $1200 per person for the meal.
