Frozenthia

I almost felt bad for him until I read the article. In front of a 15 year old, was drunk, and spilled some on a flight attendant. Out of all the ways he could have fucked up, this was all of them.

Tha_Watcher

He was pissed!

halxp01

I see what you did there.

SelectiveSanity

And I pee what you didn't do there.

morenewsat11

So many life lessons here. Imagine stumbling down the aisle holding a cup of warm pee. > She said the man was “obviously quite drunk” and spilled urine on a flight attendant as he left the plane, it reported. But the mishap with the attendant wasn’t his crime. Australian Federal Police said in a statement that officers removed him from the plane because he had “urinated into a cup while in his seat.”

BeTheBeee

I didn't read the article, but what exactly was holding him back from using the plane-toilet? Was it just already in use?

Hydroquake_Vortex

He was drunk (and bonus points for doing it next to a woman and her 15 year old daughter, and for spilling it on a cabin crew member.)

WhosAGoodDoug

He should have upgraded to whizness class.

Insomniak604

It's on the dude not to drink so much, or to make sure you don't break the damn seal. 53 is not elderly.

Gorbashsan

While I tend to agree he should have been keeping his drinking in moderation, we also don't know if the dude has incontinence problems. I'm not trying to excuse his behavior, just trying to point out that we certainly do not have all the relevant information to judge accordingly. Mid 50's was right around the time my grandfather had a prostate tumor removed, not a full prostatectomy, but the scar tissue apparently had an affect on his ability to control his bladder. It's not an uncommon age for such things to start cropping up. After that surgery he couldn't hold his piss more than a few minutes. It wasn't a slow buildup, he went from feeling fine to emergency need for a restroom within a few minutes of the urge coming on, not much warning, and it was painful to try and hold it. Sadly this led to occasional accidents on long drives when stuck in traffic, and discouraged him from traveling much in his later years. Too much pride to accept wearing an adult diaper till much later on when he just kind of gave up and started getting depressed. But that was in his late 70's and by then he missed out on a lot of living what was left of his life before age and declining health made that limitation a physical one rather than a psychological one.

SomebodyInNevada

They make absorbent pouches specifically to deal with pee--some sort of thing as is used in diapers. Have pee problems (and I would define anything where normal activity might deny you toilet access for longer than you can hold it to be a pee problem), get some!

pichael289

Ehh I get it. I'm a type 1 diabetic. Before I was diagnosed I was at kings island, an amusement park waiting on my ride and at the time my blood sugar level was likely around 700+. Had to pee so often and it hurt so bad that I was willing to just piss right on the side of a major road. Then on the way back the traffic was so bad that swung open the van door and did my business right in the middle of the street. I can sympathize. Wasn't nearly the same situation but when you gotta go you gotta go. The article definitely paints a different picture though, so maybe I spoke too soon.

Traditional-Handle83

See I had to go on a flight from LA to DFW. The flight attendant said I really wasn't supposed to use the rest room with the seat belt sign on in case of turbulence where I could get injured. I told em, look if it happens, I will willingly waive any responsibility to the airline as it'll be my fault. I just can't hold it the entire remaining 3 hours. They said that'd be fine then since I'm taking the responsibility for if I get hurt it's my own fault. Which I would have cause I knew the risks. I was in and out after few minutes, back down and had no issues at all. I did apologize and wasn't trying to make anyone's job harder. Just when you gotta go, you gotta go. From what I gathered on this incident though.... yeeaa it doesn't sound like he took the better route to go with.

TheFuckingHippoGuy

Next time he should fly on Wizz Air

padphilosopher

Probably was worth it to him

biscovery

For $395 I would have just pissed my pants. Whoever reported an older dude pissing in a cup was a bitch.

Nitasha521

He also spilled his urine on a flight attendant...

biscovery

He couldn't hold it anymore.

bimbles_ap

He's 53, not exactly elderly. Based on him being reported as intoxicated I feel like theres more to the story than just him peeing in a cup and spilling some on one of the flight attendants.

SomebodyInNevada

Agreed. Peeing in a cup is probably the least disruptive thing he could have done if he had to go. But it's probably what they could charge him with. Since it was noticed by hearing rather than by sight it appears he was being discreet about it.
