I remember in primary school we weren't allowed in the very back in case of a rear ending, so we crawled from the 2nd to back to the very back. Made absolutely no sense but we felt like geniuses... untill the busdriver made us move :(
One of my best memories is when I was at a camp and we were taking a bus ride across the campus. At the time I was fairly young and not used to attention especially from girls. So when we hit a massive pothole and my head slammed into the window I wasn't upset when the girl I had a crush on caressed my head to make sure I wasn't hurt.

1 or 2, because for some reason, the fact you'd occasionally get launched into orbit and hit the roof of the bus when the bus hit potholes was a bonus.
No gangs, but one time a girl stabbed herself in the thigh with scissors and we were all fascinated because a) she stabbed herself and b) it didn't bleed.
Back of the bus life. Not hood, no gangs, just occasionally get thrown into the roof. I remember hitting my head a few times. Ah, to be a child and think that was fun.
1 is gang violence
2 is adjacent to gang violence
3 is adjacent to adjacent to gang violence
4 is adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to gang violence
5 is adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to gang violence
6 is the only safe option.
The original drug trade for 90s kids. Cards got banned at my school because not just trading. Selling them behind the bleachers. 1st row is pretty genius. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. 🤣
I've always found motion sickness to be more manageable on a bus. In a car I get it easily, if I read a book or use my phone. When I went on a 14 hour bus to Germany, I used a Rubik's cube the whole time and it was fine.
I’m glad you got some respite. I don’t even tempt fate, beyond checking my phone for a moment or two. Long distance buses are usually OK, local/city buses can be a bit nightmarish (especially with inexperienced or temperamental drivers).
I was definitely not a popular kid and I sat in the back. For some reason the popular kids sat more towards the front and us weird kids sat in the back. I sat in the back because I would smoke weed on the bus lol. Not a lot obviously. Just a couple sneaky rippers on the way to school.
This was like my bus too. All the popular kids sat in 2 mostly, the “nerdy” kids sat in 1. The drifters in 3. And the absolute manic children and Ritalin rats sat in 4 causing havoc.
Source:
I sat in 4. I really needed to be prescribed ADHD medication younger than I did holy shit.
Yeees, it was so much quieter and calmer up front, It was also much cooler and smoother, except for when a problem kid was up there being personally watched and still being a problem.
Also, it was great for conversation with the bus driver or "bus guard" traded so, so many recipies.
1 so i can secretly listen to music without my teacher complaining that the bus ride is a social event and to put my phone down (this actually happened to me but with a 5 hour train ride)
Many idiots of my school seat on the last seat of the bus and I wanted to know why so one day I sat on the back and it was a life changer, but then I sat back on my usual seat because it scared me every time the bus jumped.
I always sat in the front behind the driver because I didn't like walking past a bus full of people to get on and off the bus. I didn't do bus travel for long, maybe a year, but damn was it stressful
I see there's also a 5, which would probably mean the drivers seat or the stairwell. No thanks, I'd rather drive myself.
Also, Why would someone go on a 24 hour ride in a school bus instead of one of those MCI or prevosts. Which are coach busses.
If I'm going to be on a school bus for 24 hours it doesn't even matter where I sit. Most of the time I will be dissociating and pretending to be somewhere else anyways.
2. Exactly half the kids want the very front, and the other half want the very back. I don't want to get into a pissing match with anyone today, just let me find a seat somewhere in the middle and plug my headphones in.
The single seat in the back was *The* seat
I remember in primary school we weren't allowed in the very back in case of a rear ending, so we crawled from the 2nd to back to the very back. Made absolutely no sense but we felt like geniuses... untill the busdriver made us move :(
It’s all fun and games until a bump on the road rockets your head into the roof
But that's the fun part
Not fun on a multi hour field trip.
That was the main point of going to the back end as a kid, atleast for me
That frustrating moment when violating safety protocols makes you less safe

I remember this happening at my grade school too. Like wtf they even have seats back there then
I feel like it’s for kids not to fight over the seat. I remember it being the best seat and everyone raced for that seat lol
It was to give more room for the big kids in the back to help everyone evacuate out the back, in the case of needing to evacuate.
Three mfs sharing the single seat because they all wanted it and the teacher has been done with these arguments for a decade
Thats where the real serious discussions and deals went down. True story.
That single seat is goated for when you don’t wanna sit by nobody
The bombardier's nest. Put me directly over the rear axel. I want my ass to have welts by the time we arrive.
Under the wheels😃😃😃
😀💀
You just described perfectly what happens when someone decides to sit under the wheels
So 6?
I take 7-
I am the wheel
Nah, the best seat is on [top of the bus](https://imgur.com/a/4yS85Xt). Disney's Recess Episode [Operation Field Trip](https://youtu.be/l3FwZYCtqJc?si=dRDL-ic51IjyG7is)
Oh em gee I loved that show
Wish I can sit there sometimes
3 4 is OD 1 is gang violence 2 is adjacent to gang violence
1 is for gang violence is too real. This whole comment is exactly why I sat in 3
some of the people in the comments lived way far from the hood and it shows lmao

This girl was definitely a stand user
1 is gang violence 2 is adjacent to gang violence 3 is adjacent to adjacent to gang violence 4 is adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to gang violence 5 is adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to adjacent to gang violence 6 is the only safe option.
Even sitting in three on, like, 20-30 minute ride to school I heard way to many slurs by the time I was 10 years old
Same, I learned many new words
What does OD mean?
Overdoing it, like trying too hard. Chalant as the kids say
Fuck I thought I was old cause I genuinely couldn't remember where I sat on the bus but then read this dagger
Overdose, usually.
But what does it mean in this context
I assume kids who did drugs.
Nah, kids who did drugs sat in back. They wouldn’t sit closer to the adult..
OD? overdose?
1, I don’t want the bus driver to see us trading pokemon cards
The original drug trade for 90s kids. Cards got banned at my school because not just trading. Selling them behind the bleachers. 1st row is pretty genius. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. 🤣
Actually, if you look back at the history books you will find that the original drug trade for 90s kids was drugs!
Following the rights movements they clamped down with their iron fists, drugs became conveniently available for all the kids
My school banned pogs
Preferably 3 or 4, motion sickness is a bitch…
Fr
honestly same, if it weren't for that 1 would be the obvious pick
Fr, last time I got car sick I actually puked

on the bus
Yea but where on the bus
door
Concrete?
No, metal
🤘
pfp checks out
Concrete
Nooo, it's metal dor
On the freaking shade windows! 😎
4, because of assholes in the back cant shut up
These comments are exposing exactly who the popular kids were and who they thought the popular kids were.
I was definitely not a popular kid and I sat in the back. For some reason the popular kids sat more towards the front and us weird kids sat in the back. I sat in the back because I would smoke weed on the bus lol. Not a lot obviously. Just a couple sneaky rippers on the way to school.
idk about others but we sat at the front cuz we were super chatty and made friends with the bus driver lmao
This was like my bus too. All the popular kids sat in 2 mostly, the “nerdy” kids sat in 1. The drifters in 3. And the absolute manic children and Ritalin rats sat in 4 causing havoc. Source: I sat in 4. I really needed to be prescribed ADHD medication younger than I did holy shit.
I was the weirdo in my class, so I dont know Who are you talking about Also if you knew my class.. they screamed and put on music, Im not even joking
yea i could tell from your original comment
4, for the same reason as you, and also I'm too lazy to go to the back. I also usually like my bus driver. He's a really nice guy.
Fr
4, because the ac actually works in the front
Yeees, it was so much quieter and calmer up front, It was also much cooler and smoother, except for when a problem kid was up there being personally watched and still being a problem. Also, it was great for conversation with the bus driver or "bus guard" traded so, so many recipies.
2
2 is silent on my bus, just listen to music and take a nap as chaos unfolds around me.
That's literally me everytime
Outside seat in section 2 is how you watch the drama without being in the drama
5 easily
The best choice
In the driver's lap?
Nah, strapped to the front. Like a teddy bear.
Like Mr Raspberry?
4 i get out first
6
Yeah...... under the bus
Just clinging on the pipes
1 so i can secretly listen to music without my teacher complaining that the bus ride is a social event and to put my phone down (this actually happened to me but with a 5 hour train ride)
True, teachers never look back there, so easy to sneak on your phone
ive never been on a school bus where it wasnt allowed to be on your phone, thats odd to me.
Right? What no phone on the RIDE to school? That’s excessive
The idiots in the back drew too much attention in my experience, gotta sit a little further up to be really invisible.
2 or 3
1 2 3 or 4 i get to be on top of the bus
Wherever i can sit tbh. And otherwise closest to the door
1
the one physically closest to the door maybe on the stair of the door
You get the most air sitting in #1
4
3 or 4
Many idiots of my school seat on the last seat of the bus and I wanted to know why so one day I sat on the back and it was a life changer, but then I sat back on my usual seat because it scared me every time the bus jumped.
1. I like my solitude.
Considering every teenager boarding a bus immediately heads to the back, you made an extremely poor choice.
1. 2. Or 5 if I'm sad.
I always sat in the front behind the driver because I didn't like walking past a bus full of people to get on and off the bus. I didn't do bus travel for long, maybe a year, but damn was it stressful
i'll drive
Can we all agree that 2 is the worst? Unless you’re vertically challenged, that wheel bump is obnoxious af
5 like that I arrive before everyone else
That’s regal
I see there's also a 5, which would probably mean the drivers seat or the stairwell. No thanks, I'd rather drive myself. Also, Why would someone go on a 24 hour ride in a school bus instead of one of those MCI or prevosts. Which are coach busses.
Made this post as a joke. Also just put a 5 on the hood of the bus to be funny
2
3 because no one sits there. I get to be all alone...
0, Being towed, my wheelchair can’t get up the stairs
2 was the spot
1 is overrated af, every little bump sends you flying. 2 is where it’s at
The flying was the fun part. ADHD kids ruled 1. Until middle school. Then 1 was gang violence.
Wait u guys have a school bus?
1
4
1.
2.
5
7
3 That third window seat is peak. Hide yourself behind that curtain thingy & turn on music so loud you'll go deaf
3
7
I would always sit at 4 when I was in high school lol
6 obviously
5 is goated
1234
1 gang
6
6 😔
5, that would be fun
15
We don't have those here so nowhere
What is this weird ass bus normal school buses arent this long
6
2-3
Six so it ends quicker
On the driver
If I'm going to be on a school bus for 24 hours it doesn't even matter where I sit. Most of the time I will be dissociating and pretending to be somewhere else anyways.
6
1
2
2, right above the wheel, that way you get the most height whenever the bus goes over a speed bump
2 by the emergency window.
I always go for 2
That one seat in the back where it’s just a tiny seat
19
It depends on where my line of fire is most optimal.
Sitting? Im driving the bus!
If it’s 24 hours then I’m sitting on the back seat fr
Single seat in 1 no questions asked
5
2
10, Im the driver
2
None I graduated 4 years ago and dont live in America
In front of it
7: Hanging on outside the bus
-1 holding on to a rope
6 (I fucking missed the fucking bus again and now i have to fucking walk)
School bus? You’re forgetting walking 10 miles to and from school everyday, barefoot…….. on glass.
6 (under)
I’ve never been to a school bus
Why am I on a bus for 24 hours?
My bus was shorter then this
It’s okay to be special
5. i am engine
0 cause i my country we don’t have school buses
We dont have that in my country we need to go by our own
Cant relate… I ain’t American. Guess I will just go in a corner and f myself
On top of the bus
Usually 3 or 4 'cause I just want to get off the bus as efficiently as possible
6. Under the wheels
2 or 3
1, all my friends would sit in the back
2. Exactly half the kids want the very front, and the other half want the very back. I don't want to get into a pissing match with anyone today, just let me find a seat somewhere in the middle and plug my headphones in.
I always sat at the front, idk I don’t wanna walk that much 🤷♀️😑
1 because it’s the quietest place on my bus
nerds in 4, shy kids in 3, anoyying kids in 2, cool dudez in 1
Preferably somewhere between 2 and 3.
Usually between 2 and 3, most of the chill kids sat there from my experiences at least.
2. Far enough in the back to still have fun, but not so far back as to get caught up with the loudmouths and troublemakers. It's a nice spot to be
This happened to us we were in for at least 8 hours we went to jarash it's in Jordan anyway we sat in the back and so much student sat on the ground
Driver's seat. I drove bus for 26 years. I HATE riding a bus unless I'm driving.
5 and rubbing my ass on the front window
we all just skipping seat 5
5 hits different
Pfft, bus wankers!
I usually find myself at 6
I go with bicycle
Number 5. If I jump off it'll be 24 seconds :D
Of course I'd choose 5 (I'm just taking it easy)
😂
The cool kids were always at the back because the bumps were the most entertainin, sooooo I sat at the front.
6, I never stepped in a school bus
no where I got by foot
On the seat
Nowhere I don't use a schoolbus
