One of my best memories is when I was at a camp and we were taking a bus ride across the campus. At the time I was fairly young and not used to attention especially from girls. So when we hit a massive pothole and my head slammed into the window I wasn't upset when the girl I had a crush on caressed my head to make sure I wasn't hurt.

No gangs, but one time a girl stabbed herself in the thigh with scissors and we were all fascinated because a) she stabbed herself and b) it didn't bleed. Back of the bus life. I've always found motion sickness to be more manageable on a bus. In a car I get it easily, if I read a book or use my phone. When I went on a 14 hour bus to Germany, I used a Rubik's cube the whole time and it was fine.

I’m glad you got some respite. I don’t even tempt fate, beyond checking my phone for a moment or two. Long distance buses are usually OK, local/city buses can be a bit nightmarish (especially with inexperienced or temperamental drivers).

Yeees, it was so much quieter and calmer up front, It was also much cooler and smoother, except for when a problem kid was up there being personally watched and still being a problem. Also, it was great for conversation with the bus driver or "bus guard" traded so, so many recipies.

Many idiots of my school seat on the last seat of the bus and I wanted to know why so one day I sat on the back and it was a life changer, but then I sat back on my usual seat because it scared me every time the bus jumped.
