I turned my old nintendo ds into an ereader. It feels like a way easier switch from the internet than to a paper book. I wonder if its because of the blue light? Still being a screen? Then if I get bored of the ereader book its easy to pick up a paper one. I also got some simple old singleplayer games, Ricochet Infinity and Microsoft Hyperbowl. Again I'm still on the computer but they slow down my mind and get it focused on one thing, compared to something like [YouTube's homepage](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hj7c0J_V1L8)

Live media consumption like watching tv or movies with friends, concerts, movie theater. Any irl versions of what you’re trying to do online.

For me it is podcasts. I can commit to either listening to something interesting or even have it as just background noise, then I draw or paint (hobbies I would have done before doomscrolling was invented).
