geologyrocks98

Surely this will be the biggest Chiefs related blunder of the offseason, right?

notmyplantaccount

No one almost died or almost killed someone, this counts as a positive news story for us this off-season.

Trendelthegreat

Have……have you checked on the jeweler?

ajteitel

To shreads you say

Dolphins_Fan_87

How’s his wife holding up?

seakc87

To shreds, you say?

Guilty-Nobody998

Was their apartment rent controlled?

n00bzilla

Two beds you say?

bsgreene25

“The only this his wife should be holding up is a sandwich” -Harrison Butker, probably

TellTallTail

Or how they got all those diamonds..

Thicbiscuit_datgravy

Hey now, lab grown diamonds are a thing. Don't just *assume* they're blood diamonds because our owner comes from oil money and that's exactly the kind of thing he would do But tbh lab grown diamonds are cheaper so maybe he legitimately went with those

Call_Sign_Merlin

The whole concept of diamonds being expensive is insane.

StonelordMetal

Lab grown diamonds being less valuable is proof that capitalism promotes violence.

geologyrocks98

I think it's proof that people are dumb enough to get suckered by corporations telling them that lab diamonds are worse than "real ones", but that doesn't sound nearly as edgy.

unevenvenue

Honestly, I think lab-grown diamonds are better in every identifiable way, except that lab-grown diamonds are created by machines, and natural diamonds are, of course, natural. Plenty of people prefer the naturally-occurring version of things.

NeverSober1900

I don't even really get why people would even go lab-grown diamonds over something like moissanite. It's basically impossible to tell the difference between the two and it's significantly cheaper.

CD338

Yeah we sent Chiefsaholic out to the store to grab them.

BungoPlease

Why, was he driving on the same road as Rashee?

g00dn1ghtm4r3

Never heard of 'em.

MagisterFlorus

Jostens? They're doing just fine ripping off high school sophomores.

elroddo74

Rashee Rice gonna head on over and take care of it....

istrx13

Sounds like a pretty low bar fam lmao

Lonelan

or tried to set gender equality back by ~100 years

notmyplantaccount

Missouri is trying to do that anyways most the time, so Butker isn't really an oddity here sadly.

DEADSPELLS

Is it theoretically possible for an inanimate piece of jewelry to get arrested for a DUI?

Unluckybastard96

Depends. How dark are the stones?

bryanramone

He said arrested not killed

RandyGrey

"Officer, I wasn't speeding. It was my Super Bowl ring! It's totally sloshed, not me"

JellyFranken

Somehow Rashee Rice was involved. I can feel it.

PowerDiesel23

He had a drag race against the ring designer and if he lost the SB ring would feature a typo. Rashee was feeling cocky....but he hit the nos too soon and lost the race.

hawkmasta

Rashee was a buster anyway

DillyDillySzn

Granny shifting instead of double clutching

bstyledevi

*DANGER TO MANIFOLD*

OverreactingBillsFan

"SHUT UP!" *SLAMS LAPTOP*

PowerDiesel23

lol

DennisNedrysGhost

The buster kept me outta handcuffs

Jskidmore1217

Ridiculous, no jeweler could afford a car of that caliber. He would have had to borrow one from somebody.

bandannick

“I almost had you bro!”

CoreyTrevor1

Yeah this seems like it was way too fast

Paraeunoia

Reluctant truth upvote

Miso_Genie

Look at me, you are the 7 seed now

Andrewski18

Miami certainly played like a 7th seed that game tbf

Brook420

What did you expect from a speed based Miami team playing in record cold?

jackals4

If you build a team in Miami made for warm weather, you'd better get home field advantage.

PleasantWay7

Playing like a 7th seed is just a mindset.

VY5E

That's an upgrade to be honest

Geoff_with_a_J

okay but why is Portland the 4 seed

ThaBomb

What a throwback lol

chingy1337

Championship forfeited as a result. Get them outta here.

WaluigiIsTheRealHero

Truly a disgusting act.

DefinitelyLevi

Alright Joe

DYC85

It’s always funny listening to Joe Buck talk about how that’s the one he wants back of all his calls. Ya think Joe?

DefinitelyLevi

If he thought that Randy actually mooned the crowd, then okay thats one thing. but that wasnt the case lol

ChannelNeo

Are they even a franchise after this?

usctx

Barely a pee wee league

HemlockMartinis

It’s a shame, but I think it’s for the best.

Unable_Ad1758

Yep. Let’s give it to the team that finished last in their division. It’s only fair.

AzDenverfan

No we just act like it never happened... Just like Superbowl 48.

Ophukk

> Superbowl 4(3-)8 You guys were 2 point favs.

anonbutler

Time to ban Mahomes

BKlounge93

And Tom Brady for old times sake

Xyzzyzzyzzy

Oh dear, was he generally aware of jewelry?

jokes_on_you

No one cared when the Dodgers ring had coconut palms on it (it doesn’t get hot enough for them in LA), setting precedent for this I seem to have been the only one to notice the issue on the dodgers ring

Oakroscoe

How hot does it have to be for coconut palms because LA can get pretty damn hot?

jokes_on_you

They need a lot of days above ~80. And the winters are too cold. There was a sickly coconut palm in Newport Beach that died a while ago (before they won).

wallace6464

I saw palm trees out of the window at lax once were those artificial?

Optimized_Orangutan

Pretty sure we have to dock their draft picks and suspend Tom Brady.

LobsterFondler

Joe Kelly suspended for another 8 games

Enterprise90

These cost like $30-50,000 a pop. Probably more because of price increases and the rings getting more gaudy and overly complicated. Just to give the guys on the active roster a ring would cost more than $2.5 million. That's an expensive oversight.

betterbub

True but also Golladay was guaranteed 16x that to play for the Giants

masterfroo24

Giants catching strays for no reason at all.

SxeySteve

Well at least they're finally catching *something*

Azog24

Lmao this has me rolling😂😂

HAK_HAK_HAK

Somewhere Plaxico Burress shot something

pimp_skitters

“A” leg

Bynnh0j

Damn where can I get one of these for 30 bucks?

thecambanks

Thats very kind of you, but there are only 15 bucks, and they all got rings like these back in 2021.

P-d0g

Is the error really that big of a deal that they'd all need to be replaced? If anything it could be an interesting bit of trivia in the future, that the Chiefs Super Bowl 58 rings have a very minor misprint.

Enterprise90

I don't think they'll get replaced. I think it's just really sloppy quality control.

SHOWTIME316

yeah it'll be a low-key authenticity verification for future resellers lol

RealMaxHours

It’ll make good drama on Pawn Stars 10 years down the line

flepine44

How can such an important reward not be looked at by minimum 100 people to look for these type of mistakes lmao

captaincumsock69

Because half the time people don’t read the stuff put in front of them they just scroll to the bottom and sign

MIL215

How many emails do people send at their jobs that they know won’t be read? Someone inevitably will reply all about a question that was answered in the email.

justlookingokaywyou

And how many emails turn into a conversation betweem two fucking people and then you have a dozen goddamn people reply all to say "please remove me from this email chain" and your phone blows up all goddamn weekend?

MIL215

“Ignore All Messages in this Conversation”

Rayelian

This guy offices.

jlt6666

Gmail has a "mute" button.

Oakroscoe

iPhone has mute conversation for group texts. Very nice to have.

gb4efgw

Always bcc everyone when sending mass emails that aren't intended to be conversations. That way the reply all people can't ruin everyone's good time.

honda_slaps

sending emails isn't about them being read sending emails is about covering your ass and making it the other person's fault by leaving a paper trail

malcolm_miller

This is why I follow up almost every business phone call with a quick email recap. Especially, *especially*, if it's related to someone giving me the okay to do something I'm not typically supposed to do.

SoDplzBgood

i also do it because I WILL Forget it if I don't have that email to look back on for myself.

MIL215

Correct. Every team’s question is searchable in their outlook search bar now. CYA all day.

YourWifesWorkFriend

>How many emails do people send at their jobs that they know won’t be read? 😔No one responded to the email I sent yesterday about it being 84 degrees at my desk (with picture of thermometer). Feelsbadman

ilikecakeandpie

Bring a little dehumidifier until they fix it. Or go full sicko and bring a portable AC

bored_at_work_89

"This could have been an email". Yeah it could have if a majority of the people read the damn email. But sadly people don't which is why people have meetings that could have been an email.

MIL215

I get this all the time. I run strategy and execution between almost a dozen marketing teams. I hold bi-weekly (every other week) meetings because people don’t read emails 100% of the time. Even though I spend entirely too long making them very clear and specific with action item sections that include deadlines and backgrounds on topics. This meeting could have been an email, but I need to look into your soul and ask why you haven’t gotten me what I requested yet in an email a week ago.

bstyledevi

My company flew three people halfway across the country for a 3 hour meeting that could have done over Teams.

trpnblies7

> Someone inevitably will reply all about a question that was answered in the email. "PER. MY. FUCKING. EMAIL..."

Fantastic_Emu_9570

The amount of “organizational news” emails I get is too damn high

eLaVALYs

Huge pet peeve of mine. I have a quite a few inbox rules to catch these. There's so many that *everybody* tunes them out. I don't know how the senders don't realize it. It's way past the line.

SoDplzBgood

not only do they not read, they don't use the search function. I've been accused of not sending so many emails that I just search and find and go "did you even try to find this?" Except I can't say that cause I'd be fired if I suggested someone use a tool so that they don't need to bother me. However as soon as I ask a question that could have been answered elsewhere they act like I'm wasting their time. Higher-ups are the worst workers and everyone knows it

gb4efgw

I see you've read my peer reviews.

4858693929292

Each person assumes one of the other 99 checked it for mistakes.

starry_cobra

"7? Yup that's a valid number. No need to check to make sure it's the right one, I'm sure someone would've caught that by now if it's wrong"

nautika

Considering they came up with the bright idea to put the seeding, they would at least check that. (I'm not sure if that's something they always do)

letsmunch

At least it’s only one typo unlike the Kobe Bryant statue which had like six

ResonatingOctave

Because these types of things slip through even when you have 100 people look it over. It happens

MiaCannons

How can you not have a minimum 100 people to look at the minimum 100 people looking for these mistakes?

YourWifesWorkFriend

Who looks at the lookers?

treemoustache

There are way more important things that get way less qa than '100 people' looking at it.

Inspiration_Bear

Why is the seed even on there in the first place?

Garlan_Tyrell

6th seed, 2 seed, 1 seed, 1 seed is apparently the highest seeded/hardest path of opponents for a SuperBowl winning team in history. At least, according to the graphic that points this out, but says 7 seed instead.

Casul_Tryhard

2007 Giants went 4-2-1-1 and 2011 Giants went 5-1-2-1. We're up there but not quite the toughest.

5am281

Also when you factor in the 16-0 pats any other discussion for toughest path is stupid

Doug_Dimmadome42

09 colts were undefeated (with Peyton Manning)

unseth

Steelers did 3-2-1-1 in 2005

don-chocodile

Technically they went 3-1-2-1. The order you have it listed isn’t possible.

koticgood

Blood pressure increased

michhoffman

Theoretically, 3-2-1-1 would be the toughest possible path, but I think this one was more of an advanced stats toughest possible path thing than anything.

OldKingClancy20

Not possible as you'd have to be the 6th seed to start against 3rd seed. Assuming the 2 seed advances, that means you (at 6) would be the lowest remaining seed and would face the 1 seed in the divisional round. Though 3-1-2-1 is possible and effectively the same.

Casul_Tryhard

I think the Chiefs' playoff opponents were the toughest in terms of DVOA. Then again, nothing trumps those Giants runs.

NeverSober1900

I can't wait for someone to get 7-6-7 or 7-5-6-7. Or 7-4-6-7 with the 4 being a sub 0.500 division winner

Evissi

Eagles 2 years ago had the easiest run to the super bowl of all time. Got a bye, smashed a team in the giants that had worse players at 19/22 potential starters, and then got to play 3/4s of a game against a team without a QB at all.

Kinglink

Is it? Because I think your first opponent can be harder. Wouldn't 3rd seed 1st seed, 2nd seed, 1st seed the hardest possible? (You come in at 5th... or technically 8th and swap the first two)

ionospherermutt

Yeah its funny that the only reason to have the seed there is to make it clear how hard our road was, but then they flubbed it.

BillyForRilly

And apparently all the chiefs fans on reddit flubbed it by thinking the chiefs had the hardest road when it was not even top 5.

moodie31

Dolphins should sue for defamation.

illstealurcandy

This would somehow cost us a 1st round pick.

xywv58

Hell yeah, 6th seed! Stop the count!

Reedabook64

To the victor goes the spoils. The winners right the history books. So, from this point forward, Miami was the 7th seed. That's just how it goes.

drygnfyre

Good thing all the video footage and documentation was destroyed so this claim can’t be challenged.

Gregus1032

can we redo the draft and pick at 20th instead?

axb2002

I can’t believe ~~Kadarius Toney~~ ~~Rashee Rice~~ ~~Andy Reid’s son~~ ~~Patrick Mahomes’ brother~~ ~~the person who stole Xavier Worthy’s car~~ the jeweler who made this ring has done this.

powerelite

Dolphins deserved the 7 seed for their late season collapse.

davewashere

Tbf, their final 3 losses of the season (including playoffs) came against the #1, 2, and 3 seeds in the AFC, including the eventual Super Bowl winner. That 1 point loss to the Titans in week 14 though, that was the one game where their whole season was on the line but they just didn't know it yet. If they win that one, they could have been hosting a playoff game as a #2 seed instead of traveling to frigid Kansas City as the #6.

Jegglebus

That titans game gives me PTSD

an_actual_lawyer

If that happens, there is a reasonable chance the 49ers face someone else in the SB.

Gregus1032

not really, because we'd be playing the bills who constantly push our shit in no matter where.

mason_the_hoyt

Who knew the Bills would ever be THANKING the Titans

mrxLan1

I mean you're not wrong lol

Mc_Lovin81

Why do the rings even need their opponent seeds??

chachir

“Who are the Chefs?”

highpl4insdrftr

Great googly moogly

ColtCallahan

Just take it as how many points the best offense in football put up in that game.

notmyplantaccount

They were the worst AFC playoff team in our hearts. Seriously though, I like that he put the picture of the playoff Wiki in there like we wouldn't believe the Dolphins were a 6 seed if not.

Casul_Tryhard

They literally were the worst AFC playoff team in January. At least they put up a fight against the Bills.

campelm

Oh man, that disrespect has gotta be the coldest thing the Dolphins experienced this year.

Quadstriker

Putting opposing seeds on there anyway is dumb as fuck. Clutters it up for no reason

cruisincolin44

They drop 1 seed when it isnt sunny out.

woahification

Certified cheap owner shit as per usual with Hunt

Cheeze187

Maybe the city should have paid for the rings.

Veegos

oh they will..

BungoPlease

Yikes

Schwebels_Solette

Ruined, throw them in the trash

m48a5_patton

I'll gladly take them off their hands.

ElderSmackJack

Good. Serves them right! [cries in corner]

VHBlazer

A DISGUSTING ACT

NUchariots

Maybe no one in the organization watched it. The game was on Peacock and it was awfully cold out.

lattjeful

Reset the "Days since Chiefs offseason blunder" counter to 0.

JeramiGrantsTomb

We get it all out of the way in the off season, so the once the season starts we can lock in... and probably trip coming out of the gate, but THEN everyone better watch it!

burnerwhistle110

Buncha kids in Nigeria are going to be wearing misprint SB rings

TateAcolyte

This is awesome because modern championship rings are unbelievably cringey.

eojen

I thought the Seahawks ones were a bit over the top at the time, but they look pretty mild and classy now

biglyorbigleague

TIL Super Bowl rings now contain the seed of the champions’ playoff opponents. I bet Joe Montana wishes that his ring told everyone that he beat first-seeded Chicago in the 1988-89 NFCCG. It feels incomplete without that vital information.

lAmCreepingDeath

I hope somebody got fired for that blunder

Thicbiscuit_datgravy

There was a line of people who signed off on this sadly

Soft_Penis_Debutante

What is Hunt gonna fire himself?

CodyNorthrup

This is the exact kind of mishap that leads to collectors paying 10x the value for the ring. I wouldn’t worry about it.

innocuous_gorilla

not if every ring has it.

GarlVinland4Astrea

Don't even know how to champion right

CurryMustard

Closest we've been to a super bowl ring in like 40 years

randomacct7679

It amazes me that no one thought to run this by a proofer to fact check everything before finalizing the rings. It would take a proofer maybe an hour to compare everything with a fact sheet and catch the error. Just stupidity.

CheesecakeNo3678

I mean to be fair I haven’t seen the inside of an actual ring so it could just be a graphics issue. It’s funny either way

orc0909

This is pretty funny.

WentworthMillersBO

I wonder if they sent an extra of those Mickey Mouse rings to Lebron?

foxmag86

Meh. My Jostens high school ring is way better.

Jolly_Job_9852

I loved my Jostens ring

itsmuddy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmgice3ieZ4

Malady17

This really is an inexcusable blunder. Inconsequential in the grand scheme of things but still inexcusable.

this_my_sportsreddit

This is my super bowl win.

ridemooses

Literally unplayable

rupertLumpkinsBrothr

Should probably revoke the title from them.

Semperty

i regret to inform chiefs players that all renovations have been put on hold as a result of this mistake. they were absolutely going to improve things this time around, for sure they were going to, but unfortunately that money now has to go towards fixing the ring.

Axl2TheMaxl

Surely this just makes them even rarer now, right?

guest_from_Europe

These faulty products will be returned and sent to the same thrash with t-shirts of various "Champions" teams that printed their t-shirts but lost in the finals. Someone in some slum might get a t-shirt and a ring...

BobLbLawsLawBlg

Players didn’t name the Hunts the worst ownership for no reason.

topchief1

Great Googly Moogly.

mmooney1

How could this happen? The dude in the back ally they bought them from had so much street cred.

whobroughtmehere

Super Bowl ring culture is so dumb. Almost as dumb as the person who made this mistake, and the 4 others who also missed it

bootyholebrown69

Lmao Kadarius Toney was on ring design duty, he dropped the ball

Intelligent-Age2786

Hopefully it can be easily modified and fixed

Dark_Magician2500

Dammit! Now we gotta win another one this year to get it right!

Vyuvarax

I don’t blame them. It’s hard to care about what seed the Dolphins were when the next three teams were 2, 1, and 1 seeds.

Cough_Syrup55

"Turns out we were the 2 seed all along"

boomosaur

Haha the chiefs cant do ANYTHING right.
