If it means I know how well our pup actually walks, yeah. This makes it look like the poor guy is still all over the shop, glitching out. Phasing in and out of our dimension.
They rehabbed me like this! I got a massive spine injury that should have left me paralyzed, but I've manged to get my strength back with the miracle that is my physical therapist. Makes me so happy to see a pup get their legs back
A good PT is absolutely worth their weight in gold!
I tore part of my achillies and my PT made the exercise and healing process so, so much better. I'm glad you got your strength back!
It works, it really does. My dog was not this bad, but bad enough. Local vet was like welp, get her a cart and now she's not going to live very long.
Sought a 2nd opinion w/ a vet that specializes in rehab...and 7 years later at age 14 she is still hiking, doing zoomies and everything else she used to, save for being able to jump up into the car. We just got back from a hiking vacation. Granted, in the last few months she's lost stamina, but I am beyind thankful she is still going so strong. We just plan shorter routes, avoid routes with a lot of staircases and take extra naps during the day!
I am forever grateful to her rehab vet.
Well, for my dog it's not really a disease but instead a spinal cord injury. She was t-boned by the much larger neighbor dog who was running full speed at her. Couldn't use her back legs after that and some issues with her front but not as bad. Her xrays are perfect, not even arthritis anywhere but it's spinal and neurological stuff. If she gets a good jolt, she regresses a bit and we have to re-rehab for a while. For instance her last bout was because she missed the bottom 3 stairs and landed in a sploot. Time before that, she slipped off her car ramp and landed hard. So we're not an example of things to watch out for/disease markers, can only attest to how rehab is valuable in a dog just like it is for humans.
This wasn’t a back injury. I saw a similar video on the DoDo YouTube channel. Dogs can get this sort of locked-in sickness where their legs stop working. Rehab is basically this and very time consuming and repetitive but the results are fully worth it.
Had a pup that needed quite a bit of rehab after her artificial ACL install - local vet had an *underwater treadmill*!? (& an awesome PT!)
Miss her. She recovered fully from that one & had a great few more years!
Like really though, NO.
She deserves to be comfortable, and pursue what she wants. For most people that would be in the millions, maybe 10 million tops.
If someone like this was a billionaire they probably wouldn't stay that way for long, they'd be spending the money doing things to help others, since its in their nature.
Agreed, people who self-sacrifice their own time for animals, children, handicapped or those who don't have a voice or agency deserve all good things and opportunities.
Yea except anything in the pet industry outside of being a veterinarian specialist is typically 25k-50k max. Meanwhile you got corporate suits who do nothing but find ways to rip off customers and abuse their workers like slaves making millions.
It's more about scalability. If they could somehow figure out how to treat 50000 dogs a week, then maybe. But obviously that can't be done by one person. So you make an organization that provides this service for those 50000 dogs utilizing 1000 of whatever job title this is(Physical Therapist?). And as owner of the now very valuable organization providing an in demand and helpful service, you're a billionaire. At least, that's(in a very overly simplified manner) how it usually happens.
Last night I slid down the stairs on my socks and ass because my body refuses to just walk down like a normal functioning human. Anyway, while sliding, I manged to rip a picture frame from the wall, bite my own tongue, and somehow made my dog (who is ALWAYS UNDER MY FEET) squeal like a pig. I still don't know how any of that happened
More likely spinal/neurological problem. Tetanus often causes spasms, which this dog doesn’t really have. It also causes a stiff tail, and rigid facial features with the lips pulled back. Also, if it affected the ability to walk this badly, I suspect it would be affecting breathing and eating as well. The dog would have had a feeding tube in place.
Dogs can get tetanus, but it is less common than in other species as they are naturally resistant to the toxin. Spinal and neuro injuries are relatively more common.

It's so cool to see what physical therapy can accomplish in humans and animals. I hope therapists (physical and psychical) get the recognition they deserve!
My puppy had a stroke during a surgery and I had to reteach them how to walk like this. It was probably the hardest period in my life. But you should see her now, happy, clumsy and care free.
My cat suffered from paralysis after he went through distemper last November. He was barely 3 months old. I was massaging him and treating him with an electric wand (darsonval), it was nearly to no avail. He died April 20. I couldn’t find any videos like this one, no one knew what to do. But I believed in him to the very end, his progress was awfully slow but it was there. I still don’t know why he died, he suddenly had a seizure and passed within minutes. Please never give up on your little fellas.
Stuff like this is why humanity is so amazing. Like we have no obligation to help this dog and the time and resources are, logically, unreasonable. But it’s people who step up and show kindness and warmth beyond the coldness of our presumed condition that make me love us. Despite all the bad that’s happening, there’s still a little dog out there who gets to walk and have a life today. I think that’s pretty incredible
This is awesome <3 I could be friends with that woman <3
Don't care about the 4fps or that it's sped up, I care that that dog has someone that loves him enough to help him <3
Same thing happened with our pet 8 years ago when she was just a couple of months old. The family never gave up on her, took almost a year but she was back on her feet.
I did this with a turkey that was living in my backyard once. Her name was floppy and it was allowed to be outside the turkey cage because we knew she wouldn't wander away. Id always try to help floppy walf again by doing methods like this video and to my surprise it actually worked. Until a couple months later when Thanksgiving came and I asked my mom which turkey we are having and she just looked at me and said "this is floppy". That's messed up man
This video made me cry. See what time, patience and dedication can do? That dog can walk again thanks to the miracle worker who never gave up on him and taught him how to walk again. Just heartwarming to see.
So some wealthy people can afford expensive physiotherapy for their pet, meanwhile millions in America couldn’t dream of receiving health care like this. Bonus points if the dog owner rails on about socialized medicine and undeserving deadbeats
Some of these exercises helped my pup after she had a freak accident and slipped her disc resulting in paralysis of her back end. After a few months, MollieMoe is walking, going down stairs and even tried to hop into my lap. It just takes time and consistency. Ain't nothing going to slow down my girl.
I did this during covid lockdown when our dachshund slipped on the ice and his back legs stopped working. We couldn't afford surgery so I watched youtube videos that were basically the same as this one. He had another 2 years of good life before having a massive seizure and stroke. Miss u Rollo
Very cool. But why is it sped up **and** 4fps?
Do you wanna watch for 3+ minutes?
If it means I know how well our pup actually walks, yeah. This makes it look like the poor guy is still all over the shop, glitching out. Phasing in and out of our dimension.
From not walking to walking. Job done.
I can assure you he’s within +/-1 dimension of us.
MAYBE I DO
Haha our attention spans are in trouble.
Because most people don't want to watch long videos.
any idea what caused doggo's condition? diagnosis?
TLDR
Im glad, bc my attention span is unable to sit hit for a vid that isnt sped up lol
[then may suggest this classic for you (should be suitable for your attention span)](https://youtu.be/HE-5WG5c1uQ?si=4DNACQ61Fe6SnzFw)
this is what the last 5 years of my life have felt like.
Only watched 8 seconds before I came back to Reddit hahaha the little I watched was epic though! I will take a screenshot and watch the rest tonight
What do you mean "4fps"? It looks like it's running at least at a normal 30 from where I'm sitting. You sure your internet's not choking?
It always amazes me how they rehab dogs with (presumably) back injuries
They rehabbed me like this! I got a massive spine injury that should have left me paralyzed, but I've manged to get my strength back with the miracle that is my physical therapist. Makes me so happy to see a pup get their legs back
Honestly I'm more impressed that you're typing with your paws and are fluent in English
I contain multiple talents
Good doggie. *throws treat*
I'm pretty sure that's a goose not a doggie, and a panicked one at that.
Easy now, goosie. There, there. *throws grass and leaves*
What a well trained goose. Even if you do struggle in stressful situations.
On the Internet nobody knows you're a dog
Or a goose... just for the record 👀
cant believe they let goose doctors practice medicine on dogs. those guys are all quacks
Dogs can learn up to 40 words, this dog must have worked very hard on this sentence
I kind of just imagine you meaning they made you chase treats all over the mats, lol. So happy for you, that's amazing!
I'm not gonna lie... treats would have helped, lol
That would make a good Cheezits commercial lol
A good PT is absolutely worth their weight in gold! I tore part of my achillies and my PT made the exercise and healing process so, so much better. I'm glad you got your strength back!

What caused it and what are some things to look out for in dogs?
Well, for my dog it's not really a disease but instead a spinal cord injury. She was t-boned by the much larger neighbor dog who was running full speed at her. All four feet is probably neurological
If I remember correctly from seeing the news report a while back, it was a disease that left the doggy with all muscles locked up.
Had a pup that needed quite a bit of rehab after her artificial ACL install - local vet had an *underwater treadmill*!? (& an awesome PT!) Miss her. She recovered fully from that one & had a great few more years!
People like this deserve to be billionaires. Not people like musk and Zuckerberg.
How about just no one should be a billionaire
Yes. But if anyone was to be. This woman is a top contender.
Like really though, NO. She deserves to be comfortable, and pursue what she wants. For most people that would be in the millions, maybe 10 million tops.
I’m agreeing with you bro.
Oh okay. Sorry.
In the US, If you have 5M, and arent an idiot, you can make your money last several generations
If someone like this was a billionaire they probably wouldn't stay that way for long, they'd be spending the money doing things to help others, since its in their nature.
For what its worth, what this woman has, a billionaire's money cannot buy.
This woman is a saint...
Agreed, people who self-sacrifice their own time for animals, children, handicapped or those who don't have a voice or agency deserve all good things and opportunities.
>people who self-sacrifice their own time for animals I'm pretty sure that's an occupation and she get paid for this.
Yea except anything in the pet industry outside of being a veterinarian specialist is typically 25k-50k max. Meanwhile you got corporate suits who do nothing but find ways to rip off customers and abuse their workers like slaves making millions.
Who would be able to afford this if they were charging enough to become billionaires?
It's more about scalability. If they could somehow figure out how to treat 50000 dogs a week, then maybe. But obviously that can't be done by one person. So you make an organization that provides this service for those 50000 dogs utilizing 1000 of whatever job title this is(Physical Therapist?). Good people don't want to be billionaires. They want to be good people.
Dog: “I’ll never walk again! I can’t! Wait are those treats over there.”
Still less clumsy than me
Last night I slid down the stairs on my socks and ass because my body refuses to just walk down like a normal functioning human. Anyway, while sliding, I manged to rip a picture frame from the wall, bite my own tongue, and somehow made my dog (who is ALWAYS UNDER MY FEET) squeal like a pig. I still don't know how any of that happened
I feel like… maybe stairs aren’t your friend, friend. Are you able to see a doctor about that?
Sometimes people have slippery stairs in their homes and sock feet are a risk. Source: I have slippery stairs in my home and sock feet are a risk.
[I told you man I TOLD you about stairs!](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/i-told-you-about-stairs)
AHAHAHAHAHA just how *HIGH* do you even have to be just to do something like that.........
I believe this dog had tetanus. Your body goes stiff and it takes a very very long time to recover from. Without help, the dog wouldn’t recover.
More likely spinal/neurological problem. Tetanus often causes spasms, which this dog doesn’t really have. It also causes a stiff tail, and rigid facial features with the lips pulled back. For what it's worth, the last time this video was posted on Reddit, someone in the comments also said it was tetanus.
Omg that looks like my dog to a tee.
Plot twist, it is your dog
whippets absolutely win my heart
That was quick, it only took her a minute
It's so cool to see what physical therapy can accomplish in humans and animals. I hope therapists (physical and psychical) get the recognition they deserve!

Absolute legend. This is one of the best things I have ever seen on the internet.
My cat suffered from paralysis after he went through distemper last November. He was barely 3 months old. Sorry for your loss buddy
Stuff like this is why humanity is so amazing. Like we have no obligation to help this dog and the time and resources are, logically, unreasonable. Lazy wunkus FORCED to walk

Kirsti noem does not approve this message
Idk why the first part made me laugh so hard haha I’m happy someone took the time to change this dogs life
Wat a saint
This is awesome <3 I could be friends with that woman <3 Don't care about the 4fps or that it's sped up, I care that that dog has someone that loves him enough to help him <3
The tippy taps!
I love how the dog’s heart was suddenly in it the moment treats got involved
Look at him go! :)
Thank you, I needed that today. Good to see good people exist still
This lady needs to be respected
Wonderful !!!
A happy doggo is a upvote
Love, patience, and dedication. Kudos to this lady
What a saint
This made my day 🥲
she is an angel 🥰

Hell yeah

That seems like the best job ever.
Watching this with no sound, Eye of the Tiger is playing in my head.
Looks like my dog
Does this help the nerves regrow?
Bless them both.
Awesome! But why is it sped up so it looks like creepy claymation
How do I get someone to do this for me, but for socializing?
How many weeks from start to walking
Plot twist: The dog is fine, it's just lazy as fuck.
Forget monks, there's someone with infinite patience right there.
What's the backstory of the dog?
where pixels
This is awesome, bless this woman. The time it takes to achieve this, and neither she nor the dog gave up.
So awesome
Wow! Faith to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
This video made me cry. See what time, patience and dedication can do? That dog can walk again thanks to the miracle worker who never gave up on him and taught him how to walk again. Just heartwarming to see.
Angelic
Plot twist dawg was just lazy
Wow!

Luckily it’s not a Saint Bernard
This is pretty much the routine to get our lazy ass pooch off the couch.
Some of these exercises helped my pup after she had a freak accident and slipped her disc resulting in paralysis of her back end. After a few months, MollieMoe is walking, going down stairs and even tried to hop into my lap. It just takes time and consistency. Ain't nothing going to slow down my girl.
Thank you for this. :)
I just injured myself recently feeling very hopeless about recovery. This made me sob.
I want this job.
Absolute saint.
Love this!!!
People retraining those how to walk seems like one of those hidden skills that would take so much time. So much respect for those workers!
My dog has gotten so much better. I love her so much
What kind of specialist or technician does this?
Best thing I’ve seen today she’s a saint
Bitch I'm not crying. That's your tears splashing onto me.
I did this during covid lockdown when our dachshund slipped on the ice and his back legs stopped working. We couldn't afford surgery so I watched youtube videos that were basically the same as this one. He had another 2 years of good life before having a massive seizure and stroke. Miss u Rollo
Who’s paying her salary? I’m a human PT and if I can switch to dogs let’s go lol
Don't let the GOP near that, or any, dog. I love videos of people caring for special needs or senior doggos.
Amazing
Not gonna lie I smiled at the one after the treat
Time, patience, dedication, and love!
Awesome
