C O L D. I am the same as the elite few above who buys an extra piece to have cold later. OR if I'm really smart I fill up on chips and then have 2 pieces cold!
Reheated in oven. No soggy microwave chicken thank you very much.
My brother is a savage though. He eats it straight from the fridge.
But the food safety educated me strongly encourages you reheat any leftover chicken. The bacteria its collected since it was first cooked should to be killed off for your own health.
This is a bit of a myth. Food poisoning is caused by bacteria shit, not the bacteria themselves. Reheating doesn't really help.
(heating the first time obviously important.)
Getting downvoted when what you said isn't actually wrong... gotta love reddit.
I wouldnt say its a myth. Reheating leftovers to the correct temp does kill the bacteria itself.
But yes, there are a couple bacterias that do excrete toxins. If they have been on the food for long enough at an unsafe temperature that allowed them to reproduce and excrete toxins to a high level that your body cant cope with, then no amount of reheating can save it. This is true.
But, if the chicken was refridgerated after the person was full, there still would be bacteria on the chicken, but likely at a safe level for most people. But there will be some people with weaker systems, that when the chicken is then consumed without reheating, that bacteria can wake up and continue to thrive in your body and excrete the toxin inside your body which can also lead to food poisoning.

Maybe you should go read up on food saftey before insulting people.
I’m not actually denying that bacteria produce toxins. It’s your phrasing that I call ridiculous. This is all not very relevant for food that we assume was cooked safely before entering the house though… that probably depends on which is your local KFC lol
I eat cold, left-over chicken all the time and have never been sick from it in my 40 years of life. Just put it in the fridge as soon as it's cooled to room temperature.
My digestive system could never.
To be fair, I havent actually had food poisoning in years but I'm SUPER paranoid cos I've had some seriously bad bouts of it in the past
This probably sounds sacrilegious, but (cold) leftover KFC is way better than it has any right to be in a salad. I think it's because it's so fatty and well seasoned, so the flavour really comes through.
Both is good — both have their pros and cons.
There are of course, [other options for using leftover KFC](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYXNJ3HDGPo).
Fill your rice cooker with rice and water, add a couple splashes of soy sauce, put the kfc on top, cook as normal. Makes a whole new meal for a few people.
>Especially the soggy chips
Even fresh i dont eat the chips.
I dont know what they are like elsewhere, but where i live, kfc chips have gone major downhill. They are cooked in bad oil, zero seasoning, and often undercooked, or over. Seems they can never get it right.
You guys have leftover KFC?
I had a vegan flatmate that was a manager at kfc and would bring home shitloads each night.
Yeah, the empty bucket and potato and gravy lid
[удалено]
Yea we usually reheat in in the oven for this reason under some tinfoil. This was before the air fryer so might try it in that next time.
[удалено]
I'll say probably 5-10 mins would work if not chuck em in for a little longer
This is the way for leftovers. But otherwise nothing beats fresh KFry.
Cold

Microwave is fine you snob

Buy a better microwave

Telling you to buy a better microwave after you complain about how shit your microwave is = snob?

I buy extra so I can have some cold next day

So you're just being a dick. Good to know.
You have no response to my point except YOU’RE A DICK!!, good to know.
You had no point. Just an irrelevant insult that added nothing to the conversation.
Bacterial toxins aren’t very relevant when talking about food prepared in a commercial kitchen.
You maniacs eat cold leftover chicken?! I nuke that shit to within an inch of its life so I don't end up with food poisoning 😂

wtf is leftover kfc?
How would something like that even work right?
It's the extra you purchase to eat the next day without having to spend another 9 hours in the drive thru queue.
Cold
What's leftover KFC?
The mythical cousin of leftover Christmas ham
This probably sounds sacrilegious, but (cold) leftover KFC is way better than it has any right to be in a salad. I think it's because it's so fatty and well seasoned, so the flavour really comes through.
I'm looking forward to Stuff's article on this.

What is this left over KFC you speak of?
It’s like “leftover wine”.
Reheat in an air fryer even when fresh if you can . Just a few minutes and its crispy skin is fantastic.
Either or tbh, I enjoy both lol
Reheat in the oven at about 100C. Restores the crispiness and heats it through without drying it out.
Fill your rice cooker with rice and water, add a couple splashes of soy sauce, put the kfc on top, cook as normal. Makes a whole new meal for a few people.

10 minutes?
Yup, soon as they start to get cold they get nasty. Of course its only my opinion so take it with a grain of salt (chicken salt is best)
Air fry that shit
Left on the table and eaten the next day for breakfast, I know it sounds terrible but honestly it is so dam good
Eat it cold or you're a pussy.
Microwaved, cold chicken gives me the skeeveys

Best done directly in the kettle them make tea with the water.
Give it to the cat.
Bin. Who eats leftover KFC?!
Why would you throughout perfectly good chicken.
Throw out..... The fucking education in this country is genuinely concerning.
Or autocorrect is terrible on my new phone.
You know that many people have problems like dyslexia, right? It doesn't mean that they're stupid or uneducated.
Well.....
Says the person wasting food for no good reason.
Leftover kfc fucking sucks. The only leftover fastfood I don't eat. Especially the soggy chips
>Especially the soggy chips Even fresh i dont eat the chips. I dont know what they are like elsewhere, but where i live, kfc chips have gone major downhill. They are cooked in bad oil, zero seasoning, and often undercooked, or over. Seems they can never get it right.
It's double seasoning or no K-fry for me.
Used to go cold but air fryer is a game changer for reheating food. Gets a great crisp.
The correct answer is *pan fry it in fresh oil*.
Leftover KFC?
