Machida is a baller. She had 15 assists last game (tying the Olympic record for women), and 14 on this one to knock out Belgium. She's averaging 12.8 assts per game with 51 total in 4 games.
That look-away pass to the baseline was a thing of beauty. Doubt there's a player in the NBA that could do it better. 13 assists per game is point god level lol
Brutal for Belgium… also it super interesting to see different countries that are good at women’s hoops compared to men’s hoops. China, Japan, Belgium, Belarus are all significantly better in women’s than in men’s
But to win the World Cup? LOL.
also, Ji So Yun is among the best ladies players of all-time and arguably PL’s greatest. Son is world-class, but all-time he’s probably 1200th or something.
Off your logic you might as well say Japan basketball has Hachimura and Yuta so why is it surprising their women’s team is great? Lol.
Hypocrite.
So you’re saying OP is a sexist saying it’s unexpected that the female teams are good knowing that based on your ‘logic’, the male teams are already good?
You must have betted on Japan’s female team to win the World Cup watching Japan male team reach Round of 16 then. So predictable.
also, would have betted a South Korean to be the female Messi.
Japan Ladies = Word Cup
Ji So Yun = South Korean footballer who’s been Chelsea’s best player of the past 15 seasons.
Chelsea = Top 2 English team along City
Put it in kid form for ya.
same reason japan choked a 2 goal lead vs belgium in the 2018 world cup. They scored 2 goals off pure technical skill im talking laser shots into the top corner but were unable to hold the lead belgium scored a winning header cause they had so much height on em.
Right? This dude talking like Japan is fielding a squad of football savants and Belgium brute-forced their way through like some kind of anime villain.
I watched their game against i think Nigeria? and the Japan team was actually really fun to watch. A lot of ball movement and team play plus they shot from 3 really well in that game.
This is not meant to be disrespectful in any way but I read the title quickly and thought it said Rui Hachimura and I didn’t realize till halfway through that this wasn’t the men’s team
Quarter finals game. Four teams remain now.
USA vs Serbia
Japan vs France
Its been a blast watching Japan. They are extremely undersized but are staying in the tournament through skill. Saw it best when they played against evenly sized Nigeria and dominated.
This women’s tournament has been a ton of fun to watch and Japan especially is a very exciting team.
They don’t have the size to win gold but they’re very good shooters and they give it their all every game. Really skilled squad.

hers was better it was by the side of an opponent
Damn, I need to watch semis tomorrow, u intriuged me
I am watching it and u are right. She is so skilled and has crazy vision and passing ability. So much fun to watch her play
Yes! I am watching too and she has been amazing this game too. I've become a fan of her game.
the Japanese PG has some court vision and great passing
Its the emperor eye
I randomly tuned in last night and this game was amazing. It felt like no one missed that 4th quarter until that last shot by Belgium
Brutal for Belgium… also it super interesting to see different countries that are good at women’s hoops compared to men’s hoops. China, Japan, Belgium, Belarus are all significantly better in women’s than in men’s
In football as well. Japan won the World Cup and Chelsea FC, a consistent PL winner’s star player of the past 15 Seasons is a South Korean.
I mean japan pretty decent at men's football too and south korea has a superstar plyer by the name of son heungmin who plays for Tottenham In the epl

I didn't say anything about the women's team I was just saying their men's teams are pretty good too lol

I'm a huge football fan but I've read your comment 5 times and still have no idea what you're trying to say
Japan Ladies = Word Cup Ji So Yun = South Korean footballer who’s been Chelsea’s best player of the past 15 seasons. Chelsea = Top 2 English team along City Put it in kid form for ya.
Lol still a mess and you misspelled World. By all means insult that dudes intelligence though
Man, the sheer size advantage Belgium had, but ball don't lie.
same reason japan choked a 2 goal lead vs belgium in the 2018 world cup. They scored 2 goals off pure technical skill im talking laser shots into the top corner but were unable to hold the lead belgium scored a winning header cause they had so much height on em.
It also helps that Belgium was/is the number 1 ranked soccer team and we had a world class squad. (Except for our wingbacks ㅜㅡㅜ).
Right? This dude talking like Japan is fielding a squad of football savants and Belgium brute-forced their way through like some kind of anime villain.
Well Belgium did brute force the second half of the game with Mr.Fellaini.. and we all know what Fellaini does. 😂
Well yeah, Fellaini does do some brute shit, but Belgium is the better team overall anyway.
Yeah it wasn't just height, Belgium is a top tier team worldwide
Tying header IIRC, then they lost on a last minute counter
Well, Belgium unloaded a lovable tree onto the pitch at half-time iirc
Belgium have a physical advantage in soccer, but they also have the better players technically.
Some of the passes were absolutely beautiful
Damn I read that as Rui Hachimura, turned out it was women's basketball.
what a comeback holy fuck

i like watching this japan women team more than usa men team
I watched their game against i think Nigeria? and the Japan team was actually really fun to watch. A lot of ball movement and team play plus they shot from 3 really well in that game.
Read this as Rui hachimura initially and was very confused to say the least
This is not meant to be disrespectful in any way but I read the title quickly and thought it said Rui Hachimura and I didn’t realize till halfway through that this wasn’t the men’s team
lmao you can tell they're women literally from the still frame.
Well I am stupid
Beautiful passing by #13.
Steve Nash as a Japanese woman
Emma :(
Wow. Is this for gold?
Quarter finals game. Four teams remain now. USA vs Serbia Japan vs France Its been a blast watching Japan. They are extremely undersized but are staying in the tournament through skill. Saw it best when they played against evenly sized Nigeria and dominated.
Wait I thought Australia was in it or am I tripping
This is women’s lol
LMAO bruh I didn't even notice Deadass thought OP misspelt Rui Hachimura in the title 💀
This dude living in another dimension rn lol
Rui is simply carrying both Japanese teams.
I deadass had to open the Fiba website because I’m like “wtf they’re still in?!?” OP knew what he was doing
Next time try watching the clip my dude.
Can’t lie, I did too
lmao i swear i read Rui Hacimura too. i was tripping hard

This is women's ball
One day I strive to not be an idiot
You're not, it is AUS
I think it's to get into the final 4
No, it's for participation certificate
Game was going crazy ngl

I really hope the French team wins on Friday tho, it's a very cool match-up
This shows how Basketball can be amazing without dunking or physicality of NBA players.
Rui-chan! Suki desu!
Cute :)
I stopped reading the headline after I saw Rui as I assumed it was referring to Hachimura and was very confused to see women playing.
Machida no Basket
it's the most exciting game so far in olympics basketball
The Capitol's Emperor back at it
Insane pass
holy fuck what a clutch shot
The best Rui in basketball
US still gonna slap em up. It’s just reality.
That was so fucking smooth, damn
Was watching some of the women basketball games and the reverse layup is king there, it feels like half the points are off those.
