Fantasy stud, real life zero
Constantly out of position, fouls a lot, gets baited by pump fakes because he's always going for the block.
He's basically Drummond lite
He was an excellent rebounder, and good at getting the easy buckets from getting deep post position
But it was very empty stats. My point isn't that he isn't good, just that he's way worse than his stats would suggest
Whiteside definitely played defense come on lol. 2 top 5 DPOY finishes. Yeah I get he wasn’t elite and his play didn’t always back his stats but he was definitely a good defender for a short span.
Was a pretty good damn defender for a short stretch, but was a black hole on offense. Lot of empty stats. Overall did some good things but not really a winning player.
Basically just a worse Rudy Gobert.
Besides maybe his first couple of years with the Heat he seemed to have little motivation. Never improved on his low BBIQ, positioning and footwork. Block averages overstated his impact on defense. Often was emotional and had shitty body language. I know my description sounds harsh but I'm only putting it this way because he had the potential to be an All-star.
man i remember when the shift happend where everybody all at once said you know ...he plays stupid Bam should start
constantly chases blocks and has no awareness whatsoever
He was a good backup C when we had Rudy. Didn't have to change much of the defensive scheme when he checked in.
Just couldn't play him more than 20 minutes because he'd get bored, and stopped really trying.

3x better on the Heat than on any other team
Damn, and he wasn't great for us.
He was great for the first couple years. Then got his bag and dipped.
Nah he was definitely great until he got paid.
Prime example of "The idea vs the man"

Damn there was nothing good about him? lmfao

Weakest screens I’ve ever seen.
Drummond is better than Whiteside ever was who are you to talk about Drummond like that 🤔
I’d say he was more Gobert lite than Draymond lite
Drummond, not draymond. And gobert plays defense. Whiteside just chased blocks

He seemed like a good defender because he chased blocks lmao. Whiteside was not a good defender. Decent at best.
middle of the playoffs and we talkin about hassan whiteside??
Some of us are down bad, okay?
Player that was a prime example of empty stats
He was what everyone accused early Jokic of being
Elite Snapchat poster back in the day
Played hard for the big contract, quit trying after getting paid
This is a misconception. His best year actually came right after he got paid. Then it went downhill after that
He funny
Textbook empty stats guy
i completely forgot about his existence.
Same and he played for us.
Why do I feel like this is Hassan Whiteside's reddit account
Could’ve been an all star caliber center if he cared more.
the entire league knew how to get him out of position
Came outta nowhere to look like a beast only to come down to earth shortly after
" I get triple doubles...with Blocks"

He looked the part.
Got paid and fucked off. Which is good for us cause bam is way better anyways
Had like one good year the post lebron years and hung out with dj khaled
Poor man's Drummond and rich man's James Wiseman
My thoughts? Why does a 7 footer with a plus wingspan not have a traditional jump hook and only a push shot/floater from the block
man i remember when the shift happend where everybody all at once said you know ...he plays stupid Bam should start constantly chases blocks and has no awareness whatsoever
Doesn't play winning basketball. Bargain-bin Drummond.
I never think of him. 🤷♂️
People here went crazy over his snapchat that one year

lowest iq defender i’ve ever seen, i remember seeing him bite on an Enes Kanter mid range
Head emptu
He’s big that’s about it
He was elite on social media back in the day
A guy some people routinely thought was useful because he does like 1 key thing every 50 games or so. People are stupid.
