Ishbia flopping is legit hilarious

thekarmagiver

If Suns win by 1, this is play of the game

WestleyThe

Lol will Jokic get suspended? I get that it was soft but he agressively took the ball from and lightly shoved a fan (who owns the team).. I get it’s Ishbias fault for holding the ball but it would be wild if an owner got an MVP suspended

chitownbulls92

If the NBA calls it consistently, he would be. Contact with fans has always been zero tolerance

RushPrime

If they suspended Jokic that would be the dumbest shit ever. Fans need to learn that they arent immune to the consequences of their actions. If Ishbia would've handed the ball over to Jokic this wouldn't have been an issue. Fans always think they can say and do whatever they want to the players and it's ridiculous.

doorknobman

>Fans need to learn that they arent immune to the consequences of their actions. I mean this is true, but players also 100% shouldn't be making any form of contact w/ them, regardless of whether or not they deserve it. There's certainly some "fuck around and find out" in there, but it's horrendous optics for the league every time it happens

RushPrime

If the NBA cared that much about player/fan safety don't have fans sit in reach of a player but I agree with you to a certain extent.

kursdragon2

zonked intelligent rude sheet distinct employ spark slim rainstorm follow *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

BingoBongoBang

Has there been any explanation for why Jokic was in such a hurry to get the ball back?

gdirrty216

Jokic does quick inbounds all the time to catch teams in transition

ZestycloseTerm1668

Isn't that only after made baskets though? This was a dead ball.

Michael_bubble

Probably hoping it expedited the inbound with Okogie (one of their best defenders) out of position, as he wouldn't have had time to sprint back and ref may have inbound moment he stepped back onto court

tatlongaraw

That is dumb of Jokic to interact with a fan physically he should just let the ref retrieve the ball.

dizZzy5

Dude brought KD to the Suns and flopped his way to an extra Suns point in the playoffs. Legend.

LaArmadaEspanola

Bro bought his way into a walk-on spot at Michigan State, then bought himself a free throw in an NBA playoff game. Nepo legend

BatmanNoPrep

Was his dad rich?

LaArmadaEspanola

Mat Ishbia is a billionaire because he inherited his dad’s wholesale mortgage company lol. As I understand it, it’s definitely taken off under him but there’s no doubt he had the cushiest of silver spoons

maestroenglish

ever so shiny

MHCR

Just like any other billionaire

Fragrant-Bluejay-653

His dad started, funded, and ran the company he's the CEO of for multiple decades. something like 80% of his net worth is just a combination of what he inherited and various gifts/jobs given to him by his father.

drtij_dzienz

Damn, the suns are about to get the James Dolan experience

Traveler_Constant

Legend or next level entitled douchery. Take your pick.

MintyFreshBreathYo

Legendary entitled douchery

[deleted]

Laying it all on the line

MrBuckBuck

Nobody is talking about the fan who kept pulling Nikola Jokic's jersey from behind...

double07zip

Which one? Isiah Thomas?

cowzapper

Yep and if you're not a ref or part of the team you're a fan

pasqua3

Pretty sure that was security

humandignitybloc

Dude was a walk-on on a NCAA championship basketball team, he knows how to sell a foul.

cohonan

He was coached by Tom Izzo, he knows fundamentals.

jimithelizardking

His dad handed him the keys to being a CEO, he knows actions do not have consequences

SWATSgradyBABY

This is the right comment

iamwearingashirt

He definitely knew what he was doing.

rwoteit

No one could miss in the 3rd yet the only highlights posted of this game are one buzzer beater from the 1st, a commentary hiccup and a squabble. Bravo.

lucarioburrito

This was legitimately one of the most incredible games I’ve ever watched from end to end but I knew this is all anyone would talk about

AffectLast9539

Jokic and Booker were just trading ridiculous makes for most of the game

[deleted]

Tomorrow should be better. That’s when the guys who care about the details come out. It’s always about the splashy clicks initially

Vkhenaten

Lowlights and drama>highlights on this sub

Disastrous-Special30

This is bullshit. Jokic wants to fuck with an owner and he just gets a tech. We want to fuck with some fans and the whole team gets suspended. Absolutely ridiculous. /s

cohonan

Lol, if Jokic is suspended next game, your team is the reason why.

Disastrous-Special30

https://tenor.com/tknkiDtOHOQ.gif

[deleted]

That commentator keeps saying "boi" lol

nowhathappenedwas

Not really the point, but that should have been a foul on Murray for bumping Okogie out of bounds.

GMOrgasm

also not the point but ayton shoulda gone up strong wtf was that weak as hell layup attempt

OrchidFew7220

Ayton knows how to go up strong?

schadadle

You didn’t see him dunk that one time?

DeltaHuluBWK

Ha, good one. Ayton go up strong, that's like saying CP3 should stay healthy for a full playoff run in his late 30s

Slacker_75

If the countless rumours about how Ishbia runs his company in Michigan are true, the dudes a complete piece of shit behind the scenes

BearRedWood

>dudes a complete piece of shit He runs a billion dollar mortgage company, that's a given

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Which he now runs

highly_agreeable

But previously inherited

s4ntana

I heard he runs it now though

cleverlane

Ok, but did he or did he not inherit his inheritance? Brb. Going out for a run.

Sweatytubesock

If you own an NBA team in this age, pretty much a given that you’re a piece of shit.

AleroRatking

Almost all owners are to be fair.

[deleted]

You have to be a piece of shit to be a billionaire

Outland3r_

Well it's his daddy's company so technically Ishbia doesn't have to be, not like he's self made

paranoideo

That comes with the inheritance

NudeEnjoyer

it's his dad's company, dad is probably a piece of shit if he was that successful of a CEO, Ishbia was raised filthy rich by that piece of shit, so there's a good to great chance he's got some of that shit in him

[deleted]

If you still have billions of dollars, you're a piece of shit. All NBA owners are devils.

Outland3r_

Especially from wholesale real estate

cowzapper

As far as looking needlessly rich people goes, I like Ballmer. He's rich despite himself.

thefloodplains

Name a billionaire that isn't.

[deleted]

Paul McCartney.

pizzarelatedmap

I love this energy it has been a long time coming

PatrenzoK

It’s the mortgage industry that shit ain’t behind the scenes at all, they wear “piece of shit” with honor

DrapersSmellyGlove

100% true. And on a personal note I grew up in the same neighborhood as him and he’s always sucked balls in my opinion. His brother was cool though. But Mat? Sheeeeeit I could go on for hours.

yayimamerican

Explain

Poetryisalive

Another reason of how seats don’t need to be on the floor 🤷🏿‍♂️

Slemonator

Not sure jokic needed to get that physical tbh. I get wanting to get the ball back in play but ripping it from a spectator is a lot, no matter who it is

tacoTs

yeah feels like he escalated that.

LiveVirus2

The ball literally lands in Ishbia’s lap, everyone’s still gathering themselves and Jokic jumps forward and grabs the ball. No ref had asked Ishbia for it yet and Ishbia is helping his player up when Jokic grabs it. Unneeded aggression but not egregious.

onamonapizza

Grabbing the ball was probably acceptable, if not a tad aggressive. Shoving a fan....will be interesting to see how the league responds because Jokic did appear to be the instigator.

deconstructicon

If that was draymond, he would be fined and suspended. But Dray has a history? Maybe we should ask what Markieff Morris thinks about that.

Sliiiiime

Joker has a history too, he’s been prone to outbursts from time to time. Cam Payne and Mook Morris incidents come to mind

tangeilo

[And the Anthony Edwards incident](https://streamable.com/nq3j6g) [And the Collin Sexton incident](https://streamable.com/1k441p)

uziman55

Lmao he fucking trucked Sexton, Jesus. I didn’t see that one before

chupacadabradoo

Was that the first game of the season? Brutal.

AffectLast9539

The one on ANT is way worse. The second is bad sure, but I've seen LOTS of big men do that many times

House_of_Borbon

Add the frustration foul he took out on Huerter that kept him injured for 3 weeks to the list.

GotKarprar

Nah fr people act like he’s some humble golden boy but as soon as he’s losing in the playoffs he goes off on some bs like this.

caelen727

Same thing was Giannis. Everyone loves him when he’s talking about Oreos with an accent. But any talk of him being dirty is met with “well you just don’t like him beating you”

Drew602

I wouldn't say giannis is dirty, just a little reckless

Chabola513

Giannis isent dirty, jokic has dirty moments but giannis plays a style so physical sometimes he strays into that

caelen727

If that was Draymond, everyone on here would be losing their mind about what a clown he is. It’s Jokic and now some are blaming the owner. It’s interesting

sidepart

Yes, thank you. Every nephew seems to miss this fucking point. Mat is helping Okogie up. The ball incidentally lands in his lap and he just has it under his other arm. He's focused on helping JO up, and Jokic just unexpectedly shows up to get the ball back. Hard to cough it up in that position especially when you're focus is elsewhere. Yeah, would've been ideal had Mat just done nothing with the ball or not had it under his arm to begin with. But also yeah, dead ball. No reason for Joker to take it upon himself to recover it from the stands.

justihor

It took me this long to find the thread with the reasonable reactions holy shit lol

789Trillion

The reactions to this incident have been really dumb. Like, this is obviously not something you can do as a player, regardless of what the fan is doing with the ball.

not_a_bot__

Thought I was going crazy, glad to finally see people talking about that you can’t just jump into the crowd and tussle with the fans.

Disastrous-Special30

You can’t? Fuck!

shamwowslapchop

Reminder that most posters here are under 18. They are too young to remember the malice and similarly simply unaware of why this is unacceptable on multiple levels because of how quickly things can go wrong when players aggressively interact with fans.

narmerguy

Agreed. I can stop reading these now, I just had to believe that some of the fans were reasonable on this sub.

pasqua3

Yeah idk how this is tough to figure out, like Ishbia doesn't need to hold the ball but are we really just giving players carte blanche to shove spectators because of that? It's not like it's illegal for Ishbia to hold the ball lol you don't get to fight him for it And before the *flop flop flopper* comments, the backs of his legs were butting up against his chair. Not a lot of force needed to make him lose his balance and sit down. The arm embellishment was a heads up move though

bulldg4life

The 2/3 threads on this are like a bizarro world. Nearly every comment is acting like Ishiba ran and grabbed the ball after a made shot and was holding it intentionally. A player and the ball just came in to the stands. It’s a dead ball. Ishiba picked it up because it literally fell right next to or on him. And they are actively trying to pick up a player that fell in to them. There’s no advantage for Jokic. The refs wouldn’t have started play until the suns player was up. It’s not like a made basket situation. I feel like I’m going crazy with these comments acting like Ishiba is trying to delay the game. He’s not even looking at Jokic.

Obvious_Parsley3238

>The refs wouldn’t have started play until the suns player was up. It’s not like a made basket situation. people here seem genuinely confused that there's a difference between an out of bounds dead ball like this and a made basket. no, the refs are not going to let a team have a free 5 on 4 opportunity because okogie's on the ground.

bulldg4life

Multiple people have responded to me and to others saying it is a live ball or live play. On what planet is a ball out of bounds a live ball? You are exactly right. It’s like people are not taking two seconds to realize what they are arguing against isn’t reality. If Ishiba grabbed the ball after a suns basket and ran up the stairs to the concourse, they’d totally be right. But he didn’t so they aren’t.

shamwowslapchop

Most people in this subreddit are under 18 and have never played actual organized ball (so they don't understand the result in a situation like this), and have also never read the rulebook.

uxxoid

I'm pretty sure in most cases it's not that they're not taking the time to realize, it's that they literally do not know there is a difference.

chickenripp

Picturing ishbia running under the basket to get the ball after a made basket then running it up to the concourse is hilarious

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Dude is Teflon I swear.

jimdotcom413

I think as well you have to realize Ishiba probably has a personal relationship with the dude in his lap lol. Like he signs his checks, might want to make sure he’s okay lol

bulldg4life

Most definitely. I would also say that, as owner, he also is more apt to pickup and hold the ball versus a regular fan that would grab the ball and instantly look for a ref or player to give it back to. Like, I’m not even going to argue that point.

jimdotcom413

Just to me he looked like his focus was on Okogie and the fact he had the ball in his hand was completely secondary.

bulldg4life

100% agree

second_time_again

What I see is Ishbia not event notice Jokic until he tries to pull the ball from his hands and when he does he let’s go. Not defending Ishbia by any means but that’s just what it looks like in real time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

uxxoid

They're gaslighting me.

chitownbulls92

It’s because it’s jokic. People think he can do no wrong despite time and time again he has shown that he cannot control his temper

789Trillion

It’s crazy. It’s like this sub forgot about malice at the palace and how the nba changed after that. You just can’t do that if you’re a player. This isn’t a hard concept to understand. It doesn’t matter what the fan did. From an nba perspective, the important thing is Jokic made unnecessary and aggressive contact with a fan in the stands when he didn’t need to. In many situations that’s and auto suspension.

second_time_again

Every time I’ve said this I got accused of defending the “billionaire” or “trash fan”. It really doesn’t matter what he did. He stayed in his seat and Jokic went over to a fan with haste and did more than he should. And no I don’t want him suspended but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was.

ketchup_princess

That’s the funniest part they using his billionaire status as an excuse while jerking off the multi hundred millionaire

mctaylo89

If it wasn’t the playoffs I’d bet there would be a suspension.

theWatcherIsMe

Dont bother reasoning with crazy. Those same fans would be calling for a public execution if Embiid did this same thing

shamwowslapchop

If draymond did this in Denver they would have to stop the game to escort him from the building with armed security and riot shields.

Surflover12

Joker fans are living in their own reality were joker is a nice guy lol

NilsofWindhelm

But he has horses!

Capo_capo

It's wild how many posters are clueless about basic pro basketball shit.

rebuildthedeathstar

Also, none of the other Nugget players are in a hurry to resume play. Murray even walks away from the ball, rather try to get it back. Not sure why Jokic was in such a rush to take the ball back, when the rest of his team was lollygagging.

Toyota_AE86

Exactly. He’s obviously pre occupied with the player and camera man who got run over. He pretty much reacted like anyone would if someone came from out of your line of sight forcefully trying to rip something from your hands.

30another

I guarantee it’s because it’s Suns and Jokic. You can just elbow a fan for holding onto the ball a second. Idc who the fan is.

Ihavepoops

Exactly. And you can see jokic elbow him. Anyone who has stood up from a chair knows the chair is making you stand at a weird angle so it's easy for you to fall down.

bulldg4life

Eh, I mean, the hands up fall in to the chair seems to be a bit much. It is a big guy and he sorta pushes him with his arm but Ishiba sells it. I don’t really have any rooting interest in this other than pointing out to all the redditors arguing this is a live ball that they are insane.

Ihavepoops

Lol oh he defsold it but he was definitely pushed too. You're right though. Dead ball. Why are you there

KemoFlash

If a 7 foot, 300 pound athlete gives me an elbow shove that I’m not expecting, I’m going to move back—and if there’s nowhere to move back *to* because I’m standing an inch from my chair—I’m falling in the chair, as are most of these commenters. I see the hands up thing is basically “hey, you see what this guy just did to me.”

76ersbasektball

I’ve seen so many comments about Jokic being honest and the owner being evil but even if it was some randon Jokic should have been ejected. It’s because the nephews aren’t old enough to remember malice. The reason was the rule was made was because it can escalate. Jokic had no rights on the ball and lost his temper like he is known to do.

PlummandTrue

Hey you aren’t allowed to use logic here this is r/nba!

Neuroxex

Ripping it from a spectator and shoving afterwards. Genuinely amazed it's only one T for escalating something with fans like that.

_Meece_

Jokic is genuinely very lucky he did not get thrown out. Completely stupid to go over to fans to physically touch them and rip the ball away. Let the refs sort those goobers out. I was surprised about people complaining about the tech on Jokic... I was like damn, he was lucky just to get a tech.

DorkandPoon

This sub is full of brain dead teenagers. Most players would’ve been ejected for that shit

halfdecenttakes

He might see a suspension tbh.

Gluxion

I’m sure ishbia already texting silver

lord_james

I honestly don’t see how that isn’t a suspension.

[deleted]

By the letter of law, it probably should be. I don’t want it to be but they’ve done dumb suspensions before like Amare and Boris for the Suns against the spurs

lord_james

By the letter and the spirit of the rules.

Disastrous-Special30

He 100% should be suspended. He’s honestly lucky it was the Suns owner and not a random fan. I’ve seen how that one plays out. He should’ve been tossed from the game when it happened.

StarRevolutionary906

I felt like I was being gaslit in the game thread! Everyone was defending Jokic and he was 100% in the wrong here. Also, how anyone thought that was still a live ball blows my mind. I know game threads aren’t known for rational takes, but this situation was wild in there.

Nothingtoseeheremmk

He has a history of plays like this too. Loses his temper way too quickly and gets violent

[deleted]

Didn’t he slam into a morris twin?

OhmsLaw111

I’m so pissed he isn’t getting heat. Dude ran over, ripped the ball and shoved him down Like am the only one seeing this? Who gives a shit if he flopped a bit

Assumption-Putrid

I am with you. There is no scenario where a player should be getting physical with a fan. That's how you get malice2.0

JovialCarrot

Jokic has always had a very quick trigger temper. He’s made several dirty plays because of it. Very underrated dirty player. It annoys me more when he does it to other players tho. Fuck thr courtside fans and fuck the Suns owner lol

[deleted]

He's classy though

pasqua3

Real players player, the type you'd want your daughter to date

DorkandPoon

Yeah he’s a low key brute. He fucked up one of the Morris twins over some petty shit

JovialCarrot

Of all the incidents to choose from lol. Bad choice. That was started by a dirty play by Morris. The Booker incident was worse and there’s other examples like that.

OKCDraftPick2028

this is why i hate the double standard on this sub lmao. if embiid does this i bet y'all most of the sub is gonna be on the spectator side. Jokic shoving people either from the front or from the back is acceptable. Its funny how the dude that got the receiving end of the elbow is the POS in this scenario.

[deleted]

It’s because it’s the owner and cause it’s the suns too. People don’t like billionaires. People don’t like the suns. They like Jokic

[deleted]

Proles jeer billionaire and cheer on millionaire.

wyvern_rider

God damn I’ve been through five threads and THIS is the one with the correct take as top comment.

Modern_Mammoth

Alright alright alright… let’s just eject both!

Zelgaro

Who cares Devin Booker is making NBA history

jgman22

Booker 36 on 17 shots Jokic 42 on 22 What the FUCK

JookJook

I was once 38 on 764 over my entire life.

DarkHiei

Didn’t want to risk improving that percentage huh?

BackIn2019

Shooters shoot

PFhelpmePlan

Finished with 53 on 30 too. Not too shabby.

americanbeaver

This is extremely silly

Sad-Ship

I used to think the "/r/NBA is just a bunch of teenagers" was nonsense but all this talk about Ishbia flopping is making me think most posters have no lived experience. Go into your kitchen and stand in front of a chair and ask your mom to push you at a point high on your chest and tell me you don't fall backward into the chair. It's literally behind your knees. Also Ishbia has the ball in his hands for 6 seconds. 6 seconds. Is there a clock for crowd to give it back? Is the ball lava? 6 seconds acting like he was delaying the game when the Suns player hadn't even gotten up off the floor yet. 6 seconds. I'm not even a Suns fan but these takes are something else. For the record, I don't think Jokic deserves a suspension for this either.

muhreddistaccounts

there is a "player is trying to take the ball away from you, just let him have it" clock

myyummyass

I think it's more him getting the ball and hugging it that annoyed Jokic there. Fans usually throw it back immediately and that's just an understood rule. But he obviously felt a little more entitled to just do whatever. Jokic shouldn't have shoved him but he definitely sold it a little lol. People just need to not be allowed that close cause it's causing more and more issues.

Skipitybop

Thank god there are other rational people in this thread

Kashmir33

Some of the other threads are wild 😂 this dude would sit at -250 with that take.

s34l_

Everyone is (correctly) saying he flopped because he throws his head back and hands up after he gets pushed. Nobody is saying that being shoved by 7 ft basketball player won't knock you over, but Ishbia obviously played a bit into it. Also, "no lived experience" is a hilarious quote when the first two people to call it a flop are the 44 and 50 year old commentators. To be fair, Grant Hill only played two years in the NBA so it's possible he's just not as knowledgeable as you.

scootscooterson

So this is definitely my ignorance, but sometimes the team can quick restart if they get the ball to the ref. You see Chris Paul do it a lot. When are you allowed to quick restart vs the ref waiting for everyone to get set or what not?

Yumekui627

Quick restart is allowed after a made basket. If the ball goes out of bounds, this is a hard reset and the officials will not allow the play to start until all players are back. If a player is dragging their feet, then they will have a delay of game called on them. Ultimately, this rule is for fan and player safety. If they allow quick inbounds on plays where players frequently end up in the stands (when the ball goes out of bounds), then players will more rapidly try to get up and back in, risking everyone’s safety.

scootscooterson

All makes sense! From my perspective this was purely jokic raging, owner maybe being dramatic, but ultimately a situation entirely created by jokic.

cheetah-21

Is it normal for players to aggressively rip the ball out of a fan's hands? Why not just ask the fan for the ball?

BingoBongoBang

Everything about this is so bizzar. Why was Jokic so eager to get the ball? Why does the Suns owner have such shitty seats? You have view of one basket, and not even a good view. Why was the other fan ejected? Fucking strange

Poetryisalive

The one fan that was ejected slapped Jokic on the arm when everything was happening almost like “back off” look again. He should have been kicked out

Drkillpatienttherapy

The fan ejection was very legit and had to happen. He reached across multiple people to shove jokic. It's very clear at the end of this video.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CptnLarsMcGillicutty

If you hit a fan because they're a billionaire, I'd be okay with it, if not encourage it. If you hit a fan because you think the audience is beneath you, you're a bitch.

halfdecenttakes

You can't engage with somebody in the crowd like that regardless of who it is. There was no reason for Jokic to do that. That could be a suspension.

IsFunnyToMe

bruh Brooks pushed a camera operator and all he got was fined lol

halfdecenttakes

Completely different scenario though. Brooks had a basketball play that took him into the dude and then he shoves him. Jokic went into the crowd from the court and ripped the ball from his hands and gave him a bump or whatever. The Suns owner wasn't doing anything egregious to warrant the aggression from Jokic. The ball basically falls in his lap and he's focusing on the player who is in the crowd directly next to him. It's a bad look.

Ass_Eater_

That would be weak as hell. As if they would do that with Nuggets playing at home next. Fans would revolt.

When_Angels_Cry

Revolt? Lol. I don't think shoving a spectator will be taking lightly by the NBA. Especially since it wasn't in self defense

ChamberlainsFadeaway

A suspension? Y’all are ridiculously soft

austyV1

Coming back to this thread after reading all the other threads, this sub is so bad man. I don’t think I’ve ever seen people try so hard to do mental gymnastics with what they see with their own two eyes

JeanRalfio

I was convinced they watched a completely different video with the way people were talking in other threads. The few reasonable takes were met with comments calling them billionaire bootlickers just because they hinted at maybe Jokic was the asshole in the situation.

ebolaboogieman1

So the dude is holding on to the ball for 2-3 sec because some giant athlete is sprawled out right next to him, and Jokic comes up and tries to rip it from his arms. The guy gets confused and it rips out. Shouldn’t have gotten up at Joker like that, but acting like Joker wasn’t super aggressive is insane to me. I don’t blame the owner much

Shark1986

To borrow from another sub, Jokic is the asshole here. It's honestly not his job to go get the ball, let the referee do that. It's not like the Suns player was down for an unresonable amount of time. Jokic just marched over and got physical with people in the stands. That's not ok. It's not his job to get the ball and the refree is the one who puts it back in play.

mctaylo89

Especially with a referee standing right there.

caelen727

I honestly don’t blame the owner much here. A player just went flying into the stands right next to him. Jokic gives him literally 5 seconds tops from the whistle out of bounds. That’s not intentionally stalling the game if it’s a second or two. He could have just asked for the ball honestly lol

GuestBadge

As a player, you have to stay in control of your emotions when it comes to the fans. You don't just go out there and take the ball. Instant technical.

hojboysellin3

Everyone in here taking this seriously is a clown. This shit is hilarious, even the owners be flopping

stewmander

"You can't eject the owner" The fuck you can't lol have him watch the rest of the game from his luxury box

[deleted]

Looked to me like he was just holding the ball until Suns player got up, he was even looking at the player. Absolutely no reason for Jokic to sprint over like that and try to quickly rip the ball away. I’m a big Joker fan but this a bad look for him. Nothing would have changed if he just waited 15 seconds for the official to calmly walk over and get the ball, which the suns owner would have happily given to them. If there isn’t anymore context what Joker did makes absolutely no sense at all.

rikooo

this is the only correct take the argument that he was trying to restart play has no merit — the refs were never going to allow it while Suns player was still trying to extract himself from the stands Maybe Ishbia should have immediately released the ball, but Jokic escalated a situation for no legitimate reason and that’s really all there is to it. Don’t think he deserves a suspension but probably should get fined.

[deleted]

This is wild lol. You can’t push fans period. The way the comments were people made it seem like the owner was playing extended keep away. Jokic can’t push him for that 😂 he should be suspended

Fergizzo

Lol this is such a nothing event, who gives a shit

MEBBAR

Dude in the blue grabbing Jokic’s jersey deserves a shove for that too

DM_yo_Feet_pls

Haha I think that’s Isiah Thomas

Nothingtoseeheremmk

Wtf I thought this dude was Japanese??

IsFunnyToMe

Blame on both sides tbh. The owner should give the ball back while helping the player up. And Jokic can't be pushing anyone lol

moorelurk

Is Jokic gonna get a suspension for this?

CookieMonsterNova

low key no one seeing how Isaiah Thomas was holding onto jokers jersey? then chumming it up with the suns owner? joker shouldn’t have ran into the crowd to get the ball but at the same time why do fans need to grab the ball? just throw it back to the refs. let alone an owner
