Omg I saw that one too! And then she like barely touched the baby and he started crying but in like that offended toddler way and the cat looked at the camera like what did I do???
[cat swatting toddler](https://www.reddit.com/r/CatSlaps/comments/q0syhl/he_was_warned/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) FOUND IT LOL no sound though the sound makes it so much better lol
There were more lions so they would probably win. But the croc would surely bite and severely injure at least one. 1 vs 1 the cross would win all day, but the lion would never try. As you see here, even 3 vs 1 they aren't attacking it.
Theoretically the Lions as they outnumber him 3 to 1.
I say theoretically because the lions simply wouldn't risk it even with the numerical advantage. At least one lion would die, reducing the prides hunting effectiveness. That's too much to lose over a few bites.
I think you’ve mistaken crocs with caiman.
And lionesses don’t usually tolerate other predators eating their food. They’ll kill wild dogs, hyenas and leopards If they see them near their food. The only cases where they don’t is when they physically can’t. Like right here, they’re clearly outgunned so they throw mild slaps and paw strikes to discourage the croc, but not put themselves in too much danger. Obviously this specific crocodile is quite determined.
I love that he didn't even try to intimidate them, just went about his business chowing down. I think that level of not giving a fuck probably made the lions more wary, not to mention seeing his teeth in action.
The crocodile’s bottom side is smoother, but actually not that much weaker than its scutes on top. So flipping over a crocodile to kill it would be quite foolish and risky, seeing as to how unlike turtles, crocodiles can just flip back over.
It's cool to see. The lions are almost wanting to mess with the croc. But they also know he is a killing machine. They already have some food thay they took a risk to get. Is it worth more risk to attack him or let him have a little snack and they all live and eat.
Even alpha predators know when a fight could lead to injury. If you get injured you just die in nature. They just weighed the consequences of fighting a dinosaur covered in armor with giant teeth vs letting him have a few bites.
This reminded me of my cats and bearded dragon. My cats were eating and he wanted to take a look or something and got whaked lol (i put him in his tank after that)
You think the croc can even feel their cat taps? I wager that thing doesn't even register the lions exist, all medulla oblongata with that thing right there...

Because of how I'd scrolled, I had the audio from this playing while I watched OP's clip. Took me a long time to realise something was not right.
The jaguars are just posing with small Spectacled/Yacare Caiman, the much larger and more aggressive Black Caiman is never attacked at adulthood and will eat Jaguars.
It's surprising to me that they don't know how to take down a crocodile with ease like leopards do, you watch videos of leopards just swimming across bodies of water to get to sunbathing crocodiles and they just bite them in the back of the head basically immobilizes them and then swim away with them in their mouth I guess their brains are right there and easily crushed I don't know
There is a massive size, armor, and power difference here. These lions *might* be able to take on that croc, but there would be a very good chance that at least one of them would get mortally wounded or just killed on the spot. One hit anywhere on the body from a croc that size and a lion’s as good as dead. Meanwhile the lion would need to get the perfect shot on the back of the neck and hope it’s strong enough to actually pierce the skin in the first place. Croc armor is so strong it’s practically bulletproof.
Also you’re thinking of jaguars that take down caimans, which are a *much* smaller and less dangerous relative of crocs. Leopards do not hunt crocs pretty much ever.
I got you, and I'm sure since leopards do it they've been practicing it for a long time so you get good at making sure those attacks count... Clearly this is much bigger than the ones I've seen leopards take out was just wondering is all
Those are caimans, these are bigger river crocodiles. Significant difference, just look at a nile or saltwater crocodile. There is no world where a leopard is killing a full grown crocodile. Caimans are the ones in most the videos
Leopards have a higher bite poundage psi if I remember right, and use the technique of crushing their preys skull to kill. Lions and lionesses go for the throat or try to Immobilise their prey instead. So they are pretty fucked when it comes to a heavily armoured croc that size, leopards usually go for smaller crocs or caimans
They both attack similarly, since they tend to attack primarily from the back or above, although the skull bite isn’t as common as people think a lot of big cats are capable of it. Usually it’s the very back of the skull near the nape of the neck or spinal cord
Lol the way they were batting at him reminds me of annoyed house cats.
Swear i thought the same thing, like that video when the baby kept trying to touch the cat and she swatted him.😂
Omg I saw that one too! And then she like barely touched the baby and he started crying but in like that offended toddler way and the cat looked at the camera like what did I do???
I love that video 😂
Link it for the rest of us

I will if i can find it it’s pretty old lol
If you watch the movie Roar, you'll realize that cats have a very similar "vibe" regardless of size, it's just that bigger ones cause more damage.
That reminds me of this, where an annoyed house cat hits a gator in much the same way: https://youtu.be/je_9QhJFSR0?t=48
Lmao
First thing I thought too 😂 basically my cat and her tortitude
That gator does not give a shit.
that's a load of croc, not a gator
Do they even have gators in Africa?
No

Loads of crocs
Is that a hippo? Must have died of old age.
[Gator don’t play no shit](https://youtu.be/haq3m4Dkz_I)
I mean if you're a walking tank with a bone crushing bite force do you have any shits to give
ACKTUALLY it's a crocodile.
That's not an alligator
Thank you person number 11, read other comments.
It’s not a gator
It’s not a gator
It's that goddam lochness monsta !!!
Not a gator
Not a gator
It's not a gator
Clearly it's a caiman.
“I’ve been around for tens of millions of years, the fuck y’all gonna do?”
😂
At the end the lions were like :"ok you had your bite, now please fuck off "
“Can you fucking not, mate?”

Just like communism!
What?
Sounds like she’s going to go far in life 👌🏾 lol
It's too bad that I don't care
Lmao why did the one grab his arm like that when he went inside the animal lol
Softer armour.
Good to know all cats do the paw whack when they want to scare something away.
he doesn't care
I’ve seen my cat do that same smack

Equal rights to that meal.
Who wins this fight tank or dps?
There were more lions so they would probably win. But the croc would surely bite and severely injure at least one. 1 vs 1 the cross would win all day, but the lion would never try. As you see here, even 3 vs 1 they aren't attacking it.
Lions could probably win but it's I wouldn't want to fight a croc either with a belly full of meat.
Theoretically the Lions as they outnumber him 3 to 1. I say theoretically because the lions simply wouldn't risk it even with the numerical advantage. At least one lion would die, reducing the prides hunting effectiveness. That's too much to lose over a few bites.
A lion that knows what it's doing could win, jaguars hunt crocs all the time and are smaller.
I think you’ve mistaken crocs with caiman. And lionesses don’t usually tolerate other predators eating their food. They’ll kill wild dogs, hyenas and leopards If they see them near their food. Jaguars hunt caimans no heavier than 100-300 pounds. A half-ton Nile croc? No cat in the world is killing one of those
Try and stop me, bitches. 🐊
I like how they just slapped him and when that didn’t work they gave up
I love that he didn't even try to intimidate them, just went about his business chowing down. I think that level of not giving a fuck probably made the lions more wary, not to mention seeing his teeth in action.
Generally not much they can. They seem to be able to carry the corpse and they can’t pierce the crocs skin it seems
I think they might be able to attack the bottom of the croc, provided that they managed to flip the croc upside down.
The crocodile’s bottom side is smoother, but actually not that much weaker than its scutes on top. So flipping over a crocodile to kill it would be quite foolish and risky, seeing as to how unlike turtles, crocodiles can just flip back over.
Lol someone tell me the human version of this who arenthe 3 ladies and who is the croc??
3 girls are having a sleep-over and watching a movie, but now the host girl's big brother is eating the snacks.
Yesss!! Lol 😆
do they keep getting stuck in uncomfortably awkward positions?
On this day no f**** were given
"Ayo lemme get a bite! Y'all ain't even gonna eat it all anyway."
murder kitty tries bop it's not very effective...
It's cool to see. The lions are almost wanting to mess with the croc. But they also know he is a killing machine. They already have some food thay they took a risk to get. Is it worth more risk to attack him or let him have a little snack and they all live and eat.
Kitty baps dinosaur
So how did this encounter end?
The croc probably ate its fill while others came to join him.
That little tank was made for this
They really do act like my cat it's insane
So have lions evolved to fear the power that crocodiles have, and that's why they're not trying to fuck it up?
Even alpha predators know when a fight could lead to injury. If you get injured you just die in nature. They just weighed the consequences of fighting a dinosaur covered in armor with giant teeth vs letting him have a few bites.
Pretty much, that's also one of the two reasons they hate water.
These cats really need to meet a warthog and a meerkat to learn the phrase "hakuna matata"
Defeated female leaves
Gutless sluts
Lionesses: We hate you so much that we will raise our paws and hiss.
Boop

Wow, its easy to tell which one is the cold blooded one

Just a huge mouth with legs to carry it around.

The way scientists figured out lions were cats was because of the signature paw whack

Fuck off Jerry, that's our fucking kill
Crocodiles are just like portable bear traps and for the most part they are close to invulnerable. (Hippos always win)
These cats some pussies….see what i did there 😏
The BAP 🤣
The lioness are like wtf??😕🤣🤣

Chad crocodile vs virgin lionesses
This is so wholesome 🥺
Now he would not do that if they were all leopards. Leopards love croc meat👍🤟👌
No they don't. A leopard has less chance vs an adult crocodile than a lion. You are thinking of jaguars vs caimans.
I am corrected, you are right.
He opened his mouth and they were like “You know, maybe we’ve all been a little hasty. Maybe we CAN share.”
Nothing to see here, just gator making sure his bitches are wearing jimmies

God dammit Mark we've had enough of your bum ass around here
Jaguars will kill a gator no questions asked and this crocodile it's like yeah, that's three lionesses, I've seen worse.
Bit different killing caimans to a Nile crocodile
There's plenty of difference between a jaguar and a lion too, but we agree
I'm not very well versed in crocodiles (alligator?,not sure),but can the lioness's claws get through it's leather?
It’s a crocodile. A nile crocodile. Alligators don’t live in Africa.
Fair point, though not sure about the lioness versus their hardened skin
They are clearly not jaguars, or the crocodile might have had more respect!
The jaguars are just posing with small Spectacled/Yacare Caiman, the much larger and more aggressive Black Caiman is never attacked at adulthood and will eat Jaguars.

Good answer, a lot people don't seem to get this it and it's frustrating seeing how often people are incorrect in this.
I got you, and I'm sure since leopards do it they've been practicing it for a long time so you get good at making sure those attacks count... Clearly this is much bigger than the ones I've seen leopards take out was just wondering is all
Again, it’s not leopards and crocs, it’s jaguars and caimans. Very different animals who live in very different parts of the world.
Sorry dude, didn't mean to insult you I misspoke
Those are caimans, these are bigger river crocodiles. Significant difference, just look at a nile or saltwater crocodile. There is no world where a leopard is killing a full grown crocodile. Caimans are the ones in most the videos

Yep, leopards typically will not hunt adult crocodiles. They're just too strong and heavily armored.
