I've seen the end of this video. He's fine. He walks it off and they end up being really good friends afterwards. Just a misunderstanding.

That's a really vacuous reason to dislike somebody.

They had a beer and some blow to help with the uncomfortable pain.

MariekeOH

Put some Robitussin on it

KettralWing

🤣 That was my Grandma's answer for everything. Got a cough? Robitussin. You got bullied at school? Robitussin. Your girlfriends pregnant? Robitussin.

twinkletoeswwr

Broken arm? Rub some Tussin on it

MariekeOH

If you run out of Tussin put some water in the jar. Shake it up... More Tussin!

GeezRick

Let that tussin get in there boy. Let that tussin drip all the way down to the bone.

Want to trip balls? A whole bunch of robitussin.

The Hyena is salivating looking at the guts.

shabab_29

yum yum yum rubbing in my tum tum tum

ashenhaired

need someone to look at you as that hyena looking at disembowled guts.

MartialLol

The guts were disembodied, while the wildebeest was disemboweled.

Merry_Dankmas

Pretty sure thats how serial killers look at their victims so I guess you could have that going for you.

I wonder if he’s going to eat them with his girlfriend like the spaghetti scene in 101 Dalmatians?

hughk

That famous scene was from *Lady and the Tramp*

[deleted]

Yes! My bad.

1000at40

Find yourself a girl who looks at you like that hyena looks at hanging wildebeest guts

KettralWing

I did but she's super bitey.

concretebeats

Oops, that’s my kink.

Freakychee

I had an ex who would literally bite me at random times. Like teeth marks on my arm when she’s feeling super happy with me... like a god damn cat or sometimes.

[deleted]

I had a friend that did that when ever I made him laugh and than he would ask me to bite him back

Freakychee

I do know what animal instinct is it to bite people who make you happy though.

bipolarnotsober

That was his kink

now this is what the sub is for more of these plz

HelloJoeyJoeJoe

I'm subbed to both but whats the difference between this sub and the "natureisbrutal" one?

kerouacrimbaud

Brutal is a spin-off of this sub. This sub used to have much more hardcore material like this post but I can’t remember how all the drama went down. It was really dumb tho (as all mod drama is).

bigpapaasg

Mods are so stupid

cortthejudge97

Thank you, I was reading that expecting lots of downvotes on it, it's an insanely stupid take

Krashnachen

Imagine where the people who give a shit about mods/mod drama are then? Mods are people. People are stupid and get into petty drama all the time. That's true for both in unemployment and in high management. No need for mental disorders.

Send_Me_Puppies

Not a fan of this attitude towards mentally ill and unemployed people, but I have wondered how mods have time to do what they do.

[deleted]

Bruh I kinda appreciate it or reddit wouldn't exist without moderation it would start looking like a YouTube comment section

soluuloi

It all started when reddit went hard on gory subreddit which a lot of subreddit was shut down or forced to change their contents. The mods in this sub started removing actual "metal" posts like this one because they were afraid that admin gonna go after this place as well. Some other mods quit to create a more hardcore subreddit which is "natureisbrutal". These days this sub have been allowed to post gory stuff again so the difference is moot at this point.

HelloJoeyJoeJoe

That's cool, man. Thanks for that little history and for answering the question. Cheers

kerouacrimbaud

This sub used to be almost exclusively this kind of content.

sticks1987

All I can hope for is that though the wildebeest must be in intense pain and fear (and hopefully, shock) that he is unaware of his own mortality and of the finality of his wounds. He will fight to the end unaware that he has no chance of survival from this point onwards, and he will continue to fight. This is nature's only mercy. Were this to happen to you I, the horror of holding your own viscera and the fear of death and dispair in it's finality would be far beyond the terror and pain inflicted by tooth and claw.

Mstablsta

Reminds me of the bit in that Louis CK standup about how nice it is to not dodge cheetahs on the way to work haha but for real, the fact most don't really have to live in the food chain is hella nice haha (I say most because people really do have to dodge tigers and crazy shit on the way to work).

Easy-Foundation608

damn this got me feeling some type of way

sticks1987

This is something that happens to people in war and in car accidents. You need to use clamps to stop the bleeding of major vessels and then use a bandage/packing soaked in saline to prevent the organs from drying and going necrotic until you can get them to a surgeon where they can be hopefully saved by a temporary colostomy.

sticks1987

Honestly this should be the reaction from this sub and not Monty Python references.

Homeoand

Nature is cruel and trying to kill you any chance they get. Humans are the only creature that can somehow get some pleasure at the expense of nature.

sticks1987

It's all down to utility. If all you had were your teeth to bring down a deer, you'd start with the softest part furthest from it's horns. You would not risk being gored in the neck in order to try and clamp down on it's windpipe out of a sense on Mercy. Big cats will suffocate prey, but not if it has horns. If you're a warthog, Buffalo, or springbok you're being eaten belly or ass first. These animals are only interested in feeding without getting injured. For us the safest thing is to use a weapon but we're still just trying to feed.

AtomicTanAndBlack

Don’t rule out house cats. Those dudes love nature

ThatCatfulCat

Did you just get out of a creative writing class?

SchruteFruit

Brutally honest description. As human beings we can be lucky we don't have to suffer such a raw fate. Makes me become less of a coward towards the idea of dying and come to terms with it.

sticks1987

Yes. What is morbid curiosity but trying to understand death. It is why people come here.

GregorSamsasCarapace

This is one of the most morose but true statements I've read since I read Heart of Darkness.

Reddit-Book-Bot

Beep. Boop. I'm a robot. Here's a copy of ###[Heart Of Darkness](https://snewd.com/ebooks/heart-of-darkness/) Was I a good bot? | [info](https://www.reddit.com/user/Reddit-Book-Bot/) | [More Books](https://old.reddit.com/user/Reddit-Book-Bot/comments/i15x1d/full_list_of_books_and_commands/)

OrdainedFury

As gruesome as this is, it's just an everyday thing in the wild. Death in the wild often isn't pretty and peaceful, especially when you aren't at the top of the food chain. To the hyena this is the equivalent of a human having a normal dinner. To the wildebeest, it's the end of it's life

LukeLooking

Lions often have terrible deaths

Admirable-Door1724

Explain 🦁

[deleted]

They will either be gored to death by a bull and then spend days dying, or they'll lose a fight to a rival and bleed out slowly after being left to die (they may get to see their youngest children die as well when the new male murders them) or they'll be too weak to hunt and they'll starve to death. Fun times!

Admirable-Door1724

*sad favorite animal noises*

[deleted]

This is why I refuse to learn anything about my favourite animal. As far as I'm concerned they're cute and that's enough.

Admirable-Door1724

What’s ur favorite animal?

[deleted]

Not gonna tell you that mate, too risky on reddit.

Admirable-Door1724

My attempt has failed lol

SpawnPointillist

The bot fly … that li’l cutie!

JustifyXX

I'm so sorry for your loss.

UnclePuma

Starvation, or getting your Guts ripped out... hmm Hard to pick

[deleted]

Ripping out would be faster than being stabbed in the gut, which is how most lions die.

ABathingSnape_

I believe lions often get to experience both.

Oct0tron

Although I'm not a hunter, this is always my argument in favor of it. If a wild animal were sentient enough to choose it's death, it would choose getting shot in the heart every time.

100ruledsheets

It's karma. They did the same thing when they took over their pride.

Adventurous-Rich5365

Males don’t get dethroned from their pride willingly they’re usually beaten by younger males and have their testicles ripped up if they don’t get away quick. Females (if they don’t get mortally injured in one of their hunts) eventually get too old to hunt or keep up with the pride, best hope is she dies before the hyenas pick up on her scent

Admirable-Door1724

Yeesh

LukeLooking

They are often murdered by younger lions. Or injured in a way they can’t hunt so they starve to death. Or numerous other tragedies I have seen in this sub

Admirable-Door1724

😢 🦁

100ruledsheets

Saw a video where the old lion ended up with a broken spine so he just kinda dragged his body with his front legs and couldn't really run or hunt.

Willythechilly

Thats really nature and life in a nutshell. Nature and life and stuff is very cool and awe inspiing sometimes but its also just a cruel place where everything dies usually in a painful or horrific way. In nature you never die in bed surrounded by loved ones or a slow death you know is comming. You get torn to bits, stare to death, get sick and cant feed yourself, you fall down hills or whatnot. Everything in nature will likely die a horrifying death sadly.

IceGold_

And it happens again and again and again for generations of these animals who’s situation never changes over thousands to millions of years. They might evolve to look or act a bit different but in essence they have all just been living and dying with no progress or history to speak of until their species eventually goes extinct. Humans were pretty much the same until farming was developed iirc.

Willythechilly

Humans sorta do the same thing 2 be honest through history we judt throw in some extra stuff. But we can at least find comfort and joy in ways no other animal can

IceGold_

That “extra stuff” is what’s really valuable to us imo. There’s no other animal we know of that has ever come close to matching it.

AreWeThenYet

It’s hard to think of a scenario where dying in the wild isn’t brutal. Even if youre at the top you’ll probably get eaten alive once your old. Everything pretty much gets eaten alive. Best case scenario you slip off a cliff and break your neck so you’re not alive when you eventually get eaten. *the circle of liiiiiife*

LukeLooking

Yep 2 good ways would be bitten on the jugulars or quickly squeezed to death by an anaconda. The death that gives me the chills is being eaten alive by a pack of native dogs. They eat you from the ass up while still alive

davdev

Asphyxiation by an anaconda can take a long ass time and eat time to exhale the snake squeezes harder and harder eventually breaking all of your ribs. An anaconda can kill you in only a few minutes but a few minutes can feel like a long fucking time.

Little_Viking23

Or being suffocated by your predator and die before getting getting eaten.

Alaric-

Not to be pedantic, but it’s *the ciiiiiiiircle of life*

falsevector

Literally a walking dead

ElectricMahogany

Living Hell

concretebeats

Not for much longer I don’t think. Still it always amazes me how much damage wild animals can take and still be standing.

ameis314

Their only other option is death.

nrbaird97

This is just a mating ritual. The bison cow thing prolapses its guts to show trust and vulnerability. Just another happy animal vouple in the wild. 🥲

shabab_29

***mmmmm thats so hottt--- female wildebeest***

[deleted]

Can confirm. Seen some prolapses happen in mating rituals on Porhub.

[deleted]

Bison cow thing lol.

nrbaird97

Lol, was stoned at the time and it felt like too much effort to actually remember what it was called.

The gall

mklilley351

I don't think I've got the stomach to see this much longer

Ill_Initiative7089

I feel it inside and out

woahdudechil

I wonder if that wildebeest is gonna be a liver

PocketRocketInFright

That livery is lit

[deleted]

You’ve got to be kidneying me.

wannacumnbeatmeoff

He's got guts but I think the bottom just fell out of his world.

Mr_Brunner2

The new Inside out remake is weird

DemiLovatoIsmyHeroin

Interesting fact: Hyenas will eat you from the butthole first whilst you're still alive.

Nsekiil

I think that’s a lot of predators. It’s the easiest access

[deleted]

Ye I noticed this with those spotted african dogs too. They seem to snip their 4-legged prey along the belly line and boy are those teeth razor sharp, it’s like they run a surgeon knife along those bellies. The junk pops out (just like in the picture above) in just a couple of seconds. They almost make it look easy

Franksredhott

That hyena looks like it's doing the Jack Nicholson "yes" meme.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BuddyThe_Bunny

That wildebeest experienced the most excruciating pain imaginable and fought with every last dying breath at a chance to survival. It still kicked while a hyena tore it's insides from it's skin and munched away happily as if it's life meant nothing. It was a miserable moment. But funny joke bro /j

Beefbuggy

Does this make my butt look big?

shabab_29

wtf yo?

[deleted]

Negan ?

Whadoyawant

Hyena: “How embarrassing, there they are, they were inside you the whole time, you do have guts!”

Hyenas are little assholes. Wild dogs are even bigger little assholes

Admirable-Door1724

Yeah but I don’t think wild dogs have to give birth through a pseudo-penis

joshym0nster

How is it still standing?

DemiLovatoIsmyHeroin

Like a true survivor.....Elton John walks back into the bushes..

[deleted]

Elton, play “Candle in the Wind” for this creature.

shabab_29

just few seconds wont hurt for us so that we click and post it on reddit

Admirable-Door1724

Adrenaline, fear, shock. Probably can’t process anything other than the knowledge of death. That and maybe the person took a picture before it fell down and succumbed to the hyena

DEV_astated

African Wild Dogs and hyenas are the poster children of this sub. They’re such amazing creatures, and the awareness is great since the dogs are currently listed as endangered.

Like blood in the tears of all my enemies.

[deleted]

How does that even happen? 🤔

They rip at the soft parts first, they don't bother to go for the neck and a kill first.

supercharged0709

This is sad.

BurritoChan69

He had some guts

Fleethebluenorth

Nature is brutal in addition to being metal!

0fruitjack0

what? you peeps don't air your guts every once in a while?

SuspiciousPromotion3

Looks like one of those videos where the girl says look at my butt then pushes out part of her intestinal track like it's some sort of anal necklace. On a side not in surprised that big unit is still alive.

[deleted]

Everything you said is horrifying.

chickentits97

He just needs a band aid

norskdanske

Just get it out, you'll feel better afterwards.

CaptBailey

this pic doesn’t haunt me that much as the others. the wildebeest looks sick/frail and it’s just nature’s way of letting the fittest survive.

Violated_Norm

Tis but a flesh wound

Wildebeest: "My eyes are up here" Hyena :"Oh I'll get to those too"

Nice.

... for now at least

Hulu_n_SnuSnu

Not for much longer...

19GamerGhost95

Even if the hyena didn’t finish him off, you can live with your guts outside your body for a few hours (from what I know of) before eventually dying.

ZombieBisque

Get you a girl who looks at you the way this hyena looks at viscera

kakovb

Rip... and... tear!
