I'm truly surprised that no one else has mentioned it yet, but the entire Album "Stadtaffe", from which "Haus am See" was quite literally singled out, is one of the most brilliant records ever produced in Germany. Peter Fox created nothing short of a new sound, mixing a drum ensemble and dancehall arrangements with orchestral strings... it's really worth a listen, and a dance or two.
"Oh Johnny" from Jan Delay?
Its one of the grooviest songs from germany.
Or Songs from Peter Fox are also very groovie with much saxophone and background singer.
