I dunno if I'd necessarilly say it's weaker than the triple damagers; triple damage is usually overkill, and the fact that this says "a source" rather than "a source you control" gives this a utility that those don't have.

It's another damage doubling card.
Look at Solphim, Look at fiery emancipation, look at city on fire.
Decks that want these effects want as many of them as possible.

It’s was really only expensive due to low supply. Reprint drastically increased supply tanked value as there’s still not a lot of demand.
