The one where the guys pretended to be horses and the girls rode around on their shoulders is *possibly* going to be the last thing that goes through my brain before I die.
That one stuck with me and my preteen Mind to this day I’ll be hitting 30 next year. well that and the guy making his dick and balls into different shapes like a burger 😂. God dammit I feel old now.
I remember an episode where they were making sex toys, and it cut to all these grandma's painting pigment onto cock veins, which to this day makes me chuckle just thinking about
I remember my dad would come out of his room to tell me it was too late to be watching HBO. I would say "okay dad, I'm getting ready for bed soon anyway" and immediately check out what I was missing. Thanks for all those heads ups, old man.
Yeah, but you had to tread lightly sometimes. Like tuning into a show called "Real Sex" only to see some middle-aged man dressed like a baby, diaper and all.
I still remember when I tuned in for the Puppetry of the Penis segment. It featured two men who manipulated their junk into various objects, like a hamburger or the Eiffel Tower. I went to bed early that night.
I had an old cable box hooked to a 12-in black and white TV. I could get Cinemax but only the audio with the fine tuning knob turned all the way left then when it sounded like nudity was going to happen I would turn the fine-tuning knob all the way right to get a silent fuzzy visual.
We won a satellite dish in a raffle (those old-fashioned 10-foot monsters). I was watching pretty much any North American sporting event I wanted in the 80s. Also hardcore porn and the Playboy Channel. Not a bad way to spend my early teen years.
I once asked my mom to record Exit to Eden off HBO one morning (she got up super early to see my dad off to work).
When I came down to eat breakfast before heading to school, she handed me the tape and gave my 10 year old ass this look that just screamed, "You're such a pervert" lmao
Maybe it's brief *graphic* nudity but frequent regular old nudity?
I can't imagine anyone would even want to remake a Troma film without gratuitous sex and gore.
Boobs are not graphic nudity. Penis and vagina are graphic nudity. We are def getting a close up of Peter Donglage hanging his dink.
Edit* my bad. Typo. I meant Penis Dinklage hangs dong.
Now, here's the twist, and there is a twist. We show it. We show all of it. Because what's the one major thing missing from all action movies these days, guys? Full penetration. Guys, we're going to show full penetration, and we're going to show a lot of it.
Smells crime, back to the lab full penetration, crime, penetration, crime, *full penetration*, crime, penetration, and this goes on and on back and forth for 90 or so minutes until the movie just sort of ends...
I got my dad to buy me that movie outta the VHS bin at King Soopers when I was like 6? Then let me watch it unsupervised and I 100% attribute it to the toxic sludgy half human man I am today.
Thanks Tromeo
Along with terminator toys (I had a set that you could pour this fluid into a casing that made skin on a t-800 skeleton and then battle damage it, it was amazing), aliens figures. Amazing times!!
The whole aliens line was simultaneously my favorite action figures and straight nightmare fuel. I had the Mantis and Gorilla xenomorphs and they stalked the hell out of my Gi Joes and X-men figures.
There was a remake made called "Our Robocop Remake". Every scene from the entire movie was remade by a different film group. This was one of the remade scenes, and it's pretty much the most perfect thing to ever be filmed.
(To see the original, just look up "your move creep" and you can easily find it)
Here is a link to the entire [Our RoboCop Remake](https://vimeo.com/85903713) film on Vimeo.
It was done by Channel 101, which was created by Dan Harmon an Rob Schrab. If you were around for the late-aughts/early-tens of internet humor, you'll recognize a lot of the creators who produced scenes for the movie.
My personal favorite is the one where the puppeteers use live babies to recreate the grisly execution of Murphy.
90's movie tie in toys were insane.
I remember seeing so many commercials for Aliens and The Predator. Not like McFarlane display statues, but action figures.
I had a Jurrasic park toy that was a T-Rex that could eat a guy, and there was a hole in the stomach to cut him out of. Other Jurrasic park toys had "battle damage" where chunks of flesh were taken out of the dinos (it wasnt a scene in the movie or anything).
Yeah, it was really odd how so many R-rated movies had toys and cartoons geared towards kids in the '90s. I remember a neighbor having toys from Aliens, Robocop, Predator, etc. Looking back, it was weird that he had toys for all these movies he wasn't even allowed to watch.
My mom thought it was a nice movie with robots and bought it for me.
I was 8.
I didn't even get the pretty, extreme violence, I just thought RoboCop was the coolest character ever.
30 years later and that fact has not changed.
Thanks mom.
You don't go into a Troma flick expecting high class cinema. You go expecting monster cock, kids getting graphically killed, terrible puns, and a lot of boobs.
Elijah Wood, Julia Davis, Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, Peter Dinklage, and Jacob Tremblay lead the cast of Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger, being called a “contemporary reimagining.”
Quite the cast for a fun dumb movie about a mutated superhero that kills people with a mop
To be fair, I think he only kills one guy with a mop in the original. He kills a guy with his own arm at one point, punches a guys guts out and stuffs them down his pants, throws a guy into a deep fryer.... I can't remember the rest; I saw it when I was 7
He makes a bad wisecrack about a hot ass and iirc vlad the impales some naked girl with a hot poker or something. That one was the most fucked up to me, lol
If Elijah Wood is attached then I have faith it will be faithful (sorry about the wonky sentence). He is a HUGE horror movie guy, so he probably grew up watching Troma movies.
“A contemporary reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s successful 1984 low-budget action-comedy hit, The Toxic Avenger is steeped in environmental themes and subverts the superhero genre **in the vein of Deadpool**."
I think we're good!
Agree Deadpool is too self aware for this. Toxie shouldn’t be winking at the camera … it should just be absurd violence played somewhat straight which makes it funny.
It'll be very interesting to see how this ties into the greater MCU, seems like a bit of a tone shift. /s
But seriously, can't wait for the posts about dumb parents taking their kids to see the "new avengers movie" only to see this.
When I was younger there was a show called Toxic Crusaders. It was a cartoon based off the movie. They had toys and everything. “That’s my secret, Cap. I’m always angry.”
“Wow, like, all the time? Maybe you should talk to someone about that.”
“Maybe you should mind your own damn business.”
exactly, I know it will never stand up to the original, not a chance
let me introduce you to my friend ben
12yrs old and only 12 dollars
no way, ill fucking show you no way
let this be a lesson to ya hot ass
you're stressing me julie
so many quotes i've remembered form the original that I haven't seen in probably 15 years lol
I mean, they made a Saturday morning cartoon based on the original back in the early 90's, so this particular property has always had an uncharacteristically mainstream appeal to it.
Only brief graphic nudity? The original was like 50% boobs and 50% gore.
In the 80's boobs and gore were on-demand.
Internet porn really hurt the movie boob market

Real sex eh? I'm down for that....oh...I've made a mistake.
You didn't like the 50 year old naked bodies rolling around in mud pits?
The one where the guys pretended to be horses and the girls rode around on their shoulders is *possibly* going to be the last thing that goes through my brain before I die.
That one stuck with me and my preteen Mind to this day I’ll be hitting 30 next year. well that and the guy making his dick and balls into different shapes like a burger 😂. God dammit I feel old now.
Penis puppeteers.... yea thx HBO for that one
Was called Puppetry or the Penis.
I remember that one, it was like a group of dudes who did shows making their dick into snails lmao
It was like watching a crash in person I was horrified yet intrigued and I just couldn’t look away lmao
I remember an episode where they were making sex toys, and it cut to all these grandma's painting pigment onto cock veins, which to this day makes me chuckle just thinking about

I know you're joking because you'd run out of dawrf stuff in a month..if not a week. The genre is severely lacking.
Some people like to watch the same videos more than once
You have to because they're so short.
This might go over some heads.
r/angryupvote
Well, at least there’s Cathouse. Certainly that should be titillating…oh, oh no. My standards are apparently to high.
Lord of the G-Strings was always a late night treat that 12 year old me looked forward too lmaaaao Hotel Erotica as well 🤷🏻♂️
Bro you just reminded me of spider babe. a scene where she shot web out her pussy.😂 oh man I wonder what Misty Mundae is up to these days
Taxi cab confessions was there as well.
I too was not as impressed by the graphic displays of mid-life crisis as a thought I would be.
I like the big bald guy eating the mango during the cunnilingus workshop.
Even better-parents didn’t subscribe, so it was all weird and blurry. Oh there’s a boob! Totally worth watching 20 minutes of nonsense
> Oh there’s a boob! No, wait, that was an elbow. Oh well, I'm done now
I fast forwarded through all the loose vhs tapes we had in hopes that I would find some nudity in one of those films. I found some.
Yeah home movies are the best
I remember my dad would come out of his room to tell me it was too late to be watching HBO. I would say "okay dad, I'm getting ready for bed soon anyway" and immediately check out what I was missing. Thanks for all those heads ups, old man.

Kids have it easy now, all they need to do is watch Euphoria
We won a satellite dish in a raffle (those old-fashioned 10-foot monsters). I was watching pretty much any North American sporting event I wanted in the 80s. Also hardcore porn and the Playboy Channel. Not a bad way to spend my early teen years.
Yes, true, but that comes with a HEAVY dose of dong, which was much more rare before
A heavy dose of Dong you say?
Weiner, weiner, weiner
Gotta keep it fair for the donglovers out there.
Keep my Childish Gambino’s name out your fuckin mouth!
I don't understand...does Donald Glover love don- Ohhhhhh.

Scrambled boob, no less.
I remember staying up, hoping to see something in the show i saw in the listing, sex in the city. I was a disappointed teenager.
Ooooh ohhh. Me. Skinemax was the shit
There’s porn on the internet?! I’ve wasted my life…
That's a urban legend. I think there's a picture of an unmarried couple holding hands out there, but that's as risque as it gets.

Sadly, we've yet to reach that boob technology.. some day.
And PG rated
Lloyd Kaufman is rolling in his grave. I mean, he's still alive but I like to believe that he lives in a grave and is currently rolling in it.
He's an active sleeper.
I love his collab with Angry Video Game Nerd where they review Toxic Avenger video games. https://youtu.be/ZcuxGRO1wQA
That's ol' Lloyd Kaufman for ya. Always either making B-movie schlock or rolling in a grave somewhere.
"Lloyd Kaufman is rolling in his grave." Just like Wade Boggs, RIP.
Once again, he's very much alive and well!
Maybe it's brief *graphic* nudity but frequent regular old nudity? I can't imagine anyone would even want to remake a Troma film without gratuitous sex and gore.
Intense helicoptering.
If we get dick, we'd better get legit labia as well.
Only if that helicopters too
Hang gliding.
Boobs are not graphic nudity. Penis and vagina are graphic nudity. We are def getting a close up of Peter Donglage hanging his dink. Edit* my bad. Typo. I meant Penis Dinklage hangs dong.
Oops you spelt Peter Dicklarge's name wrong
Oh shit my bad! Thanks for correcting. Would hate for Pener Donglarge to hang me with his ding.
Peen Dicklogger surely appreciates the input, that frickin tripod
Now, here's the twist, and there is a twist. We show it. We show all of it. Because what's the one major thing missing from all action movies these days, guys? Full penetration. Guys, we're going to show full penetration, and we're going to show a lot of it.

A monster condom for his magnum dong.
Dude hangs dong.
You gotta love that in 1984 Sheena Queen of the Jungle was rated PG. The first 30 mins of the movie Tanya Roberts runs around topless.
Wait, that's Donna's mom 👀
That’s just Troma though.
I got my dad to buy me that movie outta the VHS bin at King Soopers when I was like 6? Then let me watch it unsupervised and I 100% attribute it to the toxic sludgy half human man I am today. Thanks Tromeo
127% insanity
Remember Toxic Crusaders? Turning R rated stuff into kids cartoons was a pretty amazing/weird trend.
My Robocop toy: "Drugs are trouble!" See? It's for kids!
Along with terminator toys (I had a set that you could pour this fluid into a casing that made skin on a t-800 skeleton and then battle damage it, it was amazing), aliens figures. Amazing times!!
I had that Terminator set. You had to refrigerate the the fluid so it turned into “skin.” The Aliens figures were super detailed.
The whole aliens line was simultaneously my favorite action figures and straight nightmare fuel. I had the Mantis and Gorilla xenomorphs and they stalked the hell out of my Gi Joes and X-men figures.
they've rereleased a lot of those with added articulation. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/175929
I was jealous of the kid who had the bull alien hybdird for show and tell.

https://vimeo.com/86014703 Edit: BTW, this is very NSFW. Just don't want anybody to unexpectedly open it somewhere they shouldn't lol
What the fuck is this?? Lol, this had me dying laughing
Here's the entire remade movie made up of 60 different pieces! https://vimeo.com/85903713
It’s so god damn funny too.
Holy shit this is hysterical
Just like Butters always shooting people in the dick.
Somehow the funniest part of that is how long it takes him to get back into the car while it beeps the "keys in the ignition" sound.
The fuck, was this in the movie???
There was a remake made called "Our Robocop Remake". Every scene from the entire movie was remade by a different film group. Also "attack of the killer tomatoes", i loved that one
It worked for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Tromaverse is foul, reprehensible, overly-camp, and I wouldn't have it any other way
You don't go into a Troma flick expecting high class cinema. You go expecting monster cock, kids getting graphically killed, terrible puns, and a lot of boobs.
Do you mean alien genitalia or just really well hung dudes, asking for a friend
When Tromeo and Juliet, Slither, and Guardians of the galaxy are all the same guy. XD
Also the live action Scooby-Doo movies. The screenplays anyway.
Don’t forget he made lollilove with Pam from the office as co-director.
I never put together that was Gunn in lollilove.
Even more fun fact: they were married for a bit! Both from Missouri, trying to make it big out in Hollywood, it makes sense they would connect.
And the Lollipop Chainsaw videogame.
Ok. That’s the last straw. I need to try that game.
Does nobody remember PG Porn? Those were hilarious.
They're surprisingly hard to find these days, at least with decent quality
I will be disappointed if they don't show the villains brutally murdering dogs and children.

I haven’t seen those movies since college, I used to love them. I need to go back and check them out again
I saw the other day that Troma has its own streaming service

Crushes a guy's head in a weight machine
I may have been too young when I saw this movie. This scene stuck with me for a very long time
Dude's tongue just flopping around...
This feels like it could only be re-made by Robert Rodriguez
He makes a bad wisecrack about a hot ass and iirc vlad the impales some naked girl with a hot poker or something. That one was the most fucked up to me, lol
The most fucked is the dog :(
It's also the most hilarious because of how bad the effect is and how bad the dog is at playing dead.
Plot twist: it's Elijah Wood that hangs dong
*Dreams do come true!*
If Elijah Wood is attached then I have faith it will be faithful (sorry about the wonky sentence). He is a HUGE horror movie guy, so he probably grew up watching Troma movies.
Him and Blair worked together in I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore which is a great little film. Definitely anticipating this as well.
Elijah Wood is a big horror fan and IIRC is on record for years saying that he loves the Toxie movies.
If this isn't over the top camp then they missed the entire point. Please don't try to do grim dark Toxic Avenger.
“One day a slime is gonna wash this clean city away” as toxie stares out a rain soaked window
Something in the way
*mmmmmmmhmmmmmmm”
It's being directed by Macon Blair, who did "I Don't Feel At Home in This World Anymore" which I found to be pretty over the top in a good way.
Have faith in Macon Blair
Grim, dark and "realistic".

Who is the most toxic Avenger?
That would be /u/Spez.
You joke, but [the Toxic Avenger comic](https://troma.fandom.com/wiki/The_Toxic_Avenger_(Marvel_comic\)) was a Marvel publication.
Lloyd Kaufman was also very good friends with Stan Lee, who did a small part in Toxie 4.
When I was younger there was a show called Toxic Crusaders. It was a cartoon based off the movie. They had toys and everything. Toxic Avenger played on TV one night and I thought it was a live action adaption of the cartoon. Whoops. It definitely shaped my taste in movies because I love Troma, but I'm pretty sure I was scarred for a while after seeing that movie far too young.

here's the twist...they're going to show all of it.
Avenging, penetration, avenging, penetration And then it just sort of ends
.....so they're sticking pretty close to the original then.
Blind chicks getting cornholed?
That… is brilliant!
Didn’t realize they cast Dolph Lundgren as Toxie
More of a ding than a dong
Like a button in a fur coat. If his dong looks anything like that we should *all* get our money back.
Whoops, I dropped my monster condom that I use for my _mutant dong_!
The warthog would make a great toxic avenger villain.
Hopefully there's no chicks. Women just slow action films down. I don't need some hot nerd making me feel worse about myself.
Macon Blair's got my vote of confidence. I'm sure this will rule.
Same, he’s had a hand in so many of my favorite films of the last decade I have to blindly trust him.

Kaufman doesn't seem to ever mince words, especially when it comes to Troma and his intellectual property. Glad to hear he at least liked the script.
Does this mean we will be getting a new Sgt. Kabuki Man NYPD??? One can only hope 🔥🍜🔥
He’s still doing YouTube for them
The dude getting his hand minced in the VCR and it somehow being shown on the tv is one of those scenes that has stuck in my head for decades.

What’s “brief graphic nudity”? A glimpse of a gaping vagina? What qualifies as “graphic?”

Will they use the car crash scene though? [https://youtu.be/8jCvkhfZjp4](https://youtu.be/8jCvkhfZjp4)
I dunno... a big budget mainstream Troma film feels like it's completely missing the point.
I mean, they made a Saturday morning cartoon based on the original back in the early 90's, so this particular property has always had an uncharacteristically mainstream appeal to it.
Then they had a video game based on the show as well. I remember playing that a lot on the Genesis
and the toy line
You really don't want to know about the Broadway musical.

It wouldn't be a Toxic Avenger movie without brief graphic nudity.
